Hearing Mo Wen's words, the five individuals across from him felt as if they had heard a divine melody. They immediately ceased their actions, their bodies still bearing wounds as they gazed at the languid youth before them, filled with fear and confusion. The fear stemmed from the boy's formidable strength; they often practiced with their master, and although it was not a life-and-death struggle, they judged that even if their master were present today, he might not be able to subdue this youth. The confusion arose from the fact that this boy seemed uninterested in a deadly confrontation, leaving them to wonder why he had lured their young master and his entourage to this desolate place. Despite halting their actions, the five remained on high alert; if their young master were harmed, they would have no choice but to retaliate, lest they face execution upon returning to the Wang family.
" young master Wang, hand over your valuables," Mo Wen said as he untied Wang Tian's ropes but kept his spiritual power sealed. The five across from him appeared enlightened; it turned out the youth was after their young master's possessions. However, Wang Tian remained unfazed, seemingly still recovering from the shock.
"What’s wrong? young master Wang, are your ears not working well? If you don’t comply, I can simply kill you and take what I want," Mo Wen remarked with a hint of displeasure as he tapped Wang Tian's arm with the blade's flat side. Realizing the situation, Wang Tian hastily handed over his storage bag, now filled with dread for someone he once thought he could easily crush.
"Xiaoxia has quite the skills; however, this approach..." The leader of the five bowed slightly.
"Oh? What do you suggest I do?" Mo Wen weighed the storage bag in his hand. Wang Tian truly was a young master of the Wang family; his possessions were plentiful. Wang Tian had already released his control upon handing over the bag.
"I dare not presume, but if Xiaoxia is short on funds, with your strength, you could easily acquire what you need without going through such trouble to lure us here," the leader reasoned. It was true that with Mo Wen's capabilities participating in Wu Hui would yield rewards comparable to what Wang Tian possessed.
"Heh, I'm not interested in your Wu Hui. Look, your young master has delivered himself right to my doorstep. You know I've gone through quite an effort; it’s only fair I collect some service fees. Wouldn't you agree, young master Wang?" Mo Wen turned to Wang Tian, whose face was now a picture of distress—he wanted to be angry but dared not express it, his face flushed red.
"Let your companions off easy; I have no interest in your meager earnings," Mo Wen said while eyeing the five across from him. They were all retainers of the Wang family and earned little throughout the year; after expenses for food and lodging, there wouldn’t be much left. "However, young master Wang, this service fee you've provided is rather insufficient—it falls far short of your status." With that, he pocketed Wang Tian's storage bag and turned back to him.
"You..." Hearing Mo Wen’s words and seeing his expression made Wang Tian nearly spit blood. What he had just given up was certainly not all his wealth; even though he acted arrogantly in Moro City, he would never keep all his assets in one place—that was common sense.
"Come now, don’t be like that, young master Wang. I’m doing this for your own good; just hand it over," Mo Wen said as he moved closer to Wang Tian, placing a hand on his shoulder in a friendly manner while extending his other hand to indicate for Wang Tian to surrender any hidden valuables.
"Take it! I hope you live long enough to spend it!" Wang Tian gritted his teeth and pulled out another storage bag from within his robes, slamming it down onto Mo Wen's outstretched hand with force.
