In the center of a vast mountain range, a deep valley forms a natural gap, within which lies a city. The mountains extend on either side of the city, creating a protective barrier. Beyond the mountains, the interior of the continent is mostly flat land, densely populated with numerous Empires. The city nestled in this valley is Yinzhou City, the capital of Yinzhou. To the west of Yinzhou lies the Cloud Mist Forest, while to the north it borders Shu Cang. Notably, Yinzhou is the only state in the entire Lianyun Empire that shares a direct border with Shu Cang; other states merely neighbor it across a wide canyon that stretches from west to east. This canyon separates two Empires, making Yinzhou an essential hub for trade between them. Consequently, Yinzhou City has become the second largest city in the Lianyun Empire. 0

Aside from its commercial significance, Yinzhou's proximity to the Cloud Mist Forest enhances its importance. The status of Cloud Mist Forest among surrounding Empires is well-known; during the Wu Hui period in Moro City, the influx of merchants was tenfold compared to the local population, forcing many visitors to stay outside the city. In terms of wealth, it is rumored that Yinzhou surpasses even the imperial capital, largely due to Lian Yun's feudal system. At the founding of Lian Yun, aside from the royal family, there were nine princes who were granted territories across nine major states as recognition for their contributions to the Empire. Naturally, Yinzhou became the fiefdom of Prince Yin. 0

Originally, Yinzhou was a poor region within Lian Yun. The western Cloud Mist Forest frequently faced beast tides, and its neighboring villages were inhabited by those who had migrated from elsewhere due to dire circumstances. After being granted this territory, Prince Yin implemented significant reforms and policies encouraging refugees to develop and expand into Cloud Mist Forest while simultaneously establishing trade routes with Shu Cang. Through years of governance and development, Yinzhou has transformed into what it is today. 0

Yinzhou City serves as a crucial hub for commerce; all merchant caravans traveling through Yinzhou must obtain approval here before conducting business. Initially, many were puzzled by Prince Yin's seemingly harsh regulations; other regions allowed caravans to seek approval at various relay cities based on proximity. However, it later became clear that while Prince Yin's rules appeared strict, they allowed merchants to obtain approval just once to operate throughout all of Yinzhou, whereas in other states each relay required separate approvals from Official Government offices—resulting in significantly more time spent compared to Yinzhou's streamlined process that also mitigated corruption among relay officials. 0

Mo Wen learned all this during his travels and overheard discussions among merchants who seemed to hold Prince Yin's Manor in high regard. He also heard that Prince Yin had once been a poor man himself—one who understood hardship firsthand. However, the Jin Family remained low-profile in Yinzhou; despite holding the hereditary title of Prince Yin, they referred to themselves as generals and their residence was known as General's Manor rather than a royal palace. Following Prince Yin’s legacy, his descendants adhered strictly to his established rules. 0

As Mo Wen made his way toward Yinzhou City, within the General's Manor located to the east of the city sat a middle-aged man dressed in a brocade robe with a furrowed brow. "Alas! Your illness..." he began uncertainly, sighing as he placed his hand on the table. 0
