“Master Zhang, I must trouble you this time,” Gu Yu said politely to the elderly man beside him, Zhang Gao.
Zhang Gao nodded slightly, his expression inscrutable. As Gu Yu's personal bodyguard, those who knew Gu Yu were familiar with Zhang Gao, but many questioned his abilities. After all, most wealthy individuals had bodyguards who were strong and robust, while Gu Yu’s bodyguard had graying hair and a small stature, even shorter than Gu Yu. Could this bodyguard really be effective?
Qin Xiaoya did not underestimate Zhang Gao, however. She understood that in Huaxia Martial Arts, there were many masters, and Zhang Gao was a master-level expert. Under normal circumstances, Qin Xiaoya would show him great respect.
But at this moment, she had eyes only for Jiang Chen; everyone else was insignificant.
“Uncle Zhang, this Qin Xiaoya is quite hidden and is also a practitioner. You should be careful; she might have some unorthodox techniques,” Gu Xiangzhou reminded when he saw Qin Xiaoya standing still, seemingly dismissing Zhang Gao.
“Ha! What unorthodox techniques? They pose no threat to me,” Zhang Gao replied dismissively.
As a Martial Arts Grandmaster, how could he fear a young woman?
Jiang Chen sat quietly in the lounge area, unnoticed amid the ongoing conflict. He was content to let Qin Xiaoya use her abilities to intimidate those who did not recognize their place.
“Raise your hand!” A voice suddenly rang in Qin Xiaoya’s ear, prompting her to raise her hand quickly.
“Bang!”
As she raised her hand, an invisible force surged forth and struck Zhang Gao squarely in the chest. Although Zhang Gao was a Master of Transformation with keen senses and had sensed the danger, he felt utterly insignificant against such overwhelming power.
“Pfft!”
Zhang Gao was sent flying through the air in a parabolic arc, spitting blood before he fell unconscious to the ground.
The suddenness of it all left most onlookers bewildered; they had no understanding of martial arts and thought they had witnessed something supernatural. Even those like Gu Yu who were aware of martial arts were left dumbfounded. If someone else had displayed such prowess, Gu Yu might have accepted it more readily, but the fact that it was Qin Xiaoya made it hard to believe.
“Qin Xiaoya, what just happened? Can you really perform the Eighteen Dragon-Subduing Palms?” Yang Yuxin, closest to Qin Xiaoya, snapped back to reality and grabbed her hand, looking around as if trying to discern where that invisible force had come from.
“It’s Xiang Chong Eighteen Palms. Manager Gu, would you like to try it?” Qin Xiaoya said with a teasing smile as she looked at Gu Yu.
Gu Yu was so frightened that he stepped back repeatedly until he found himself among the crowd.
“President Qin, please don’t joke around,” Gu Yu hurriedly said. He had witnessed Zhang Gao's strength firsthand; even a leaf blown by the wind could injure someone. A Martial Arts Expert like Zhang Gao had been knocked out by Qin Xiaoya's strike—if he were to endure such an attack himself, he would surely perish due to his high blood pressure.
“Manager Gu, didn’t you say you wouldn’t go easy on me? I’m someone who believes in settling scores,” Qin Xiaoya replied coldly with a smirk.
“I was just joking! Given the relationship between the Gu Family and the Qin Family, we can sit down and discuss any issues,” Gu Yu said with a forced smile, his expression changing faster than flipping a book.
"Some matters are better resolved now than sitting down to discuss them later. manager Gu, if you want to settle this, bring out a billion. If you don't have the money, then don't bother talking to me. Just take your son and go back," Qin Xiaoya said coldly.
