Strangely, the Vermilion Talisman on the inner wall had transformed into grotesque faces, each one silently screaming. 0

"This is using the Yin Coffin to nurture evil spirits!" Shopkeeper Zhang exclaimed as the needle of his compass spun wildly. "Someone is using your Soul-Suppressing Coffin as bait to refine the resentment of the Li Gui into a Soul-Claiming Talisman!" 0

He dipped a bit of Black Blood onto Yellow Paper and began to draw symbols. Suddenly, the paper ignited, and a chilling wail echoed from the flames. 0

At a quarter past the Hour of the Rooster, an old man from the gate of Yizhuang stumbled over to deliver news. He reported that blood was seeping from the coffin, and names of deceased County Officials from twenty years ago were appearing on the surface of the Nanmu. 0

Even more horrifying was that within three feet of the coffin, all the Wild Grass had withered overnight, their roots coated in frost-white ashes. 0

Chen Siye followed Shopkeeper Zhang for a night investigation at Yizhuang. Under the moonlight, dozens of Earth Mounds rose around the coffin, as if something was about to break through the ground. 0

Shopkeeper Zhang scattered some Glutinous Rice, and immediately, sounds of nails scratching against the coffin lid emerged from within the Earth Mounds. 0

Each mound concealed a thin coffin, with a Coffin Lid adorned with a Blood Painting depicting the same Demon-Subduing Talisman. 0

"This is the Mother-and-Child Chainbane Formation!” exclaimed Shopkeeper Zhang, his lips turning pale. “The resentment from these accompanying coffins is being absorbed by the Li Gui in the Main Coffin. When the blood moon rises..." 0

Before he could finish his sentence, the Main Coffin suddenly shook violently, lifting its lid half a foot and revealing a decayed sleeve of an Official Robe. 0

The embroidered Egret on the cuff sprang to life, flapping its bloody wings as it soared into the night sky. 0

At midnight, Chen Siye was awakened by strange noises from the backyard. 0

He pushed open the window and saw that an empty coffin was spinning on its own in the courtyard. The Bagua diagram on its base oozed out Black Blood, sketching a map of the county office on the ground. The marked red dot indicated the location of the Magistrate’s study from twenty years ago. 0

As morning mist lingered, the town crier, Liu Quezi, hurriedly knocked on his door. 0

He claimed he had seen a Headless Ghost in an Official Robe wandering in the street last night, holding a rotting Human Head, with its dripping Melon Cap. 0

Even more terrifying was that behind this ghost trailed a string of Phantom Forms, each one bleeding from their seven orifices. 0

At a quarter past noon, a stream of Black Blood suddenly emerged beneath the threshold of the Coffin Shop. 0

Chen Siye dug through an Azure Stone Slab, discovering a buried Ceramic Jar. Inside were half a blackened Phalanx and strands of ash-white hair. 0

A jade ring encircled the phalanx—an item that had never left the hand of that year’s infamous Magistrate. 0

Just after the hour of the goat, Shopkeeper Zhang rushed in with an aged copy of the County Annals. 0

Between its pages lay a moldy Legal Complaint, detailing a lawsuit filed twenty years ago by an unsuccessful Juren, accusing the Magistrate of corruption. 0

On the back, written in blood, were a few lines of small text stating that the entire Juren family had been silenced and their bodies buried beneath the foundation of the county office to ward off evil spirits. 0

"No wonder they needed to borrow the Yin Coffin to nurture the malevolent energy!" Shopkeeper Zhang's compass cracked in half with a loud snap. "They intend to use the power of Yokai to overturn the county office and expose the grievances of that year!" 0

At three quarters past the Hour of the Rooster, a fierce wind rose. The Azure Stone Slab road in front of the Coffin Shop split open, oozing with the foul-smelling Black Blood. 0

Chen Siye saw countless twisted faces floating in the blood, all belonging to Vengeful Spirits who had met tragic ends years ago. Their mouths gaped wide, yet no sound escaped; they could only desperately point towards the western part of the city—there, a blood moon was slowly rising. 0

The sound of Bangzi during the Hour of the Dog mixed with the rain as it pelted against the tiles. Chen Siye focused on a Lawsuit tucked within the County Annals and discovered that beneath a layer of mold, small text was hidden: "On July 15th, Hour of the Rat, Advisor Wang delivered three packages of Arsenic." 0

Shopkeeper Zhang's Paper Man trembled under the oil lamp, suddenly turning in unison towards the west window, where Cinnabar's eyes began to weep blood. 0
