In the new house, two fiery figures clashed fiercely, their blades flashing in the dim light as two stunningly handsome men fought like dragons in the cramped space.
"Where is Ye Jieyu?" Beiming shouted, kicking a chair that flew towards him aside.
Mu Jingkui sneered as he dodged a flying dagger. "Who knows? It seems the bride of the Demon Sect's leader has run away."
"Hmph, no one can escape," Beiming scoffed, entangling himself with Mu Jingkui once more.
Ye Jieyu stumbled back into the new house, clutching her injured right shoulder, and indeed found the two fools locked in battle.
At that moment, members of the Demon Sect had already heard the commotion and were gathering outside.
"Mu Jingkui, you idiot, hurry up and leave!" She kicked open the door and shouted inside.
Mu Jingkui deflected Beiming's sword and turned to see her blood-stained shoulder and pale face, a strange pang of anxiety gripping his heart.
"Get out of here! The lackeys are coming!" Ye Jieyu growled, snapping him back to reality.
"Ye Ye, you can't escape," Beiming said with a cold smile as he looked at Ye Jieyu. "You've been poisoned by Ding Xiang Ning Zi; if you use your internal energy recklessly, your meridians will shatter and you'll die..."
"Shut up," Ye Jieyu interrupted him, her agile body darting out like a swallow.
"Ye Jieyu!" Mu Jingkui felt an uneasy sensation as he coldly parried Beiming's thrusting sword and leaped after her.
It was so hot, so unbearable!
Ye Jieyu ran desperately through the bamboo forest, her body growing weaker with each step. An unbearable heat surged over her, gathering from her limbs to her abdomen.
Damn Beiming for using such a strange drug that sealed her meridians in the study.
How infuriating! Cold sweat rolled down her cheeks, and the injury on her right shoulder throbbed painfully. Her entire body was exhausted from the internal energy that coursed chaotically within her, and the blocked meridians felt like a wild beast gathering in her lower abdomen.
Damn it, the obstructed meridians and the erratic internal energy had coincidentally formed a strong desire. If she couldn't break through it, she might end up dying from severed meridians.
How frustrating! Where could she find a skilled man willing to help her at a time like this?
“Ah!” A wave of intense pain hit her, and finally, she collapsed onto the grass.
In the darkness of night, under the cold moonlight, she curled up in agony, shoving her right hand into her mouth until the taste of blood filled her senses. The pain temporarily eased the beast within her, but in the next moment, that desire surged even more violently.
Suddenly, a cold hand grasped her hand that was in her mouth and pulled it out. In a dizzying whirl, Ye Jieyu fell into Mu Jingkui's broad embrace.
The sound of a strong heartbeat filled her ears, and the unique scent of sandalwood from the man stimulated her already sensitive senses. “Let go of me.”
She struggled fiercely to break free from his hold and fell to the ground.
“Ye Jieyu, you look truly terrible like this.”
Ye Jieyu forced a bitter smile, using all her strength to get up and stumbled into the bamboo forest.
She didn't want anyone, especially him, to see her in such a disheveled state.
Mu Jingkui followed closely behind her, his face cold.
"Don't follow me," she said, collapsing against a tree, completely exhausted. Her body was drenched in sweat, her small face flushed as if it could bleed. In the tranquil bamboo grove, only the sound of her heavy breathing could be heard.
Mu Jingkui looked down at her from above, feeling as if something within him had suddenly broken free.
With a raised brow, he picked her up effortlessly.
Ye Jieyu leaned quietly in his arms, feeling the wind brush past her ears. The heat of her body was momentarily alleviated by his touch, but soon it was replaced by an even stronger desire.
"Mu Jingkui, what are you going to do?" she asked fearfully, terrified of revealing her vulnerable side in front of him.
