The damp walls and the knocking sound from the wardrobe... 0

I began to vaguely sense the terrifying truth behind these events, a tremendous fear enveloping me like never before... 0

When I stepped through my front door, Gao Jun must have been startled by my disheveled appearance. 0

"Xiaoyun, what happened to you?" he asked in surprise. 0

I couldn't afford to answer him; I walked over to the wardrobe and stood there in a daze. 0

The black wardrobe loomed before me like a gateway to a terrifying world. 0

Gao Jun rushed to my side, likely realizing something was wrong, and gently took my hand. 0

"Move the wardrobe aside. I need to move this wardrobe," I said, a simple request that took all the courage I could muster. 0

"No," Gao Jun said, placing his hands on my shoulders. He spoke in a pleading tone, "Xiaoyun, don't you remember what you promised me? Please, just leave this place. Pretend you don’t know anything." 0

I knew Gao Jun was only thinking of my well-being, but he couldn't understand how I felt. The call of that girl grew stronger within me; I knew I couldn't escape those lonely, sorrowful eyes no matter where I went. She was waiting for me—there was no use in avoiding it! 0

I shook my head and broke free from Gao Jun's grip. "If you're not willing to help me, then I'll do it myself!" 0

Although the wardrobe was empty, it still felt heavy for someone as frail as I was. With all my strength, I managed to push it reluctantly away from the wall by about half a meter. 0

This was enough. The wall, once concealed by the wardrobe, revealed a small, tightly shut door. The rust on the metal doorknob spoke of its long confinement in darkness. 0

My suspicions were finally confirmed: a hidden room, a secret chamber within my own home! 0

The girl I had seen, the one who haunted my dreams, had been locked away in the room next door all along! 0

I felt a wave of weakness wash over me, perhaps from exertion or anxiety. 0

"She's in there, isn't she? You know everything—what is going on? My God, this is terrifying... How could she possibly survive? Why won't you tell me the truth?" I looked at Gao Jun with pleading eyes. 0

Gao Jun sighed helplessly and walked over, fully pushing open the wardrobe to reveal the entire hidden door. 0

"Do you really need to know the truth? If you open this door and step inside, you will understand everything. I won't stop you. But you still have a chance to leave here. Trust me, no matter what you've been through, if you leave now, all the horror will end here." Gao Jun said this while looking at me with hopeful anticipation. 0

Could I still leave as if nothing had happened? 0

How could I turn a blind eye to that girl's lonely and helpless gaze? If I sealed away the nightmare behind this door, would I truly find relief? 0

After a moment of hesitation, I slowly approached and grasped the rusted doorknob. 0

A cold, damp sensation spread from my palm throughout my body as terrifying nightmares flashed before my eyes. My body trembled slightly. 0

The doorknob turned slowly. Was I really ready to face the darkness and fear that awaited me? 0

With a soft "click," the door lost its lock's restriction. Immediately, a pull from the doorknob directed inward, tugging at my hand as if it wanted to draw me into the darkness beyond the door. 0

I suddenly jolted awake, releasing my grip and stepping back, my heart pounding wildly. 0

The door creaked open slowly, emitting a series of soft, eerie sounds. Like a sleeping ghost being awakened, it gradually revealed its gaping black mouth. 0

A strong, musty odor seeped out from within, choking me to the point of near suffocation. 0
