After discussing with Li Jiancheng at the Eastern Palace, Li Yuanji returned to Prince Qi's Residence, his desire to eliminate Li Shimin growing stronger, burning like an unquenchable fire. He paced back and forth in his study, constantly devising various ruthless plans, his eyes glinting with a sinister light.

Yuwen Bao carefully stored the poison and replied, "Your Highness can rest assured; I will complete this task."
However, Li Yuanji's plan was not without flaws. His suspicious behavior at Prince Qi's Residence caught the attention of Li Shimin's spies planted there. This spy quickly relayed news of Li Yuanji's secret meetings with Yuwen Bao and their potential plot to poison him.
Upon receiving this information, Li Shimin was furious. "Li Yuanji! How dare you be so vicious!" But he quickly calmed himself and decided to turn the tables by using this opportunity to expose Li Yuanji's conspiracy.
"Notify everyone to closely monitor activities at Prince Qi's Residence, especially Yuwen Bao's movements. I want to see how they plan to poison me at the banquet," Li Shimin commanded his subordinates.
Meanwhile, upon learning of Li Yuanji's plan to poison Li Shimin, Li Jiancheng felt deeply concerned. He understood that assassination was too risky; if they failed, it would not only alert their enemies but also raise suspicions from their father. Thus, he rushed to Prince Qi's Residence to stop Li Yuanji.
"Fourth brother! How could you come up with such a foolish plan? Poisoning Li Shimin? If discovered, we would face utter ruin!" Li Jiancheng said anxiously.
Li Yuanji dismissed him with a wave of his hand. "Elder brother, you're being too cautious. As long as we plan carefully, how could we be discovered? Once Li Shimin is dead, we won't have to worry about him threatening us anymore."
Li Jiancheng shook his head firmly. "No! This is too risky. We cannot resort to such despicable means. We should find a way for him to 'bring about his own downfall' so that our father can see his true colors and deal with him accordingly."

"Could Shimin really commit such a heinous act?" Li Yuan sat on the dragon throne, his brow furrowed, filled with worry. He decided to closely observe Li Shimin's every move during the next hunt.
Li Shimin was aware of the existence of these rumors; he understood that this was yet another scheme by Li Jiancheng and Li Yuanji. However, he remained calm. He had already prepared himself to deliver an unexpected counterattack against Li Jiancheng and Li Yuanji during the upcoming hunt.
