In the distance, a new Fire Tornado began to form, and Mo Wen couldn't help but marvel at the wonders of this world. Destruction in the front, construction in the back—it perfectly illustrated the saying, "No destruction, no establishment; destruction leads to establishment." He also noticed that the dome above seemed to have lowered by two or three zhang. However, his focus was not on the changes in the surrounding environment but rather on the "treasure" sinking beneath the sea.
Due to the storm, the surrounding waters had seen a drastic reduction in Lava, and in shallower areas, islands that were originally hidden beneath the Lava began to emerge. Mo Wen knew that the Lava swept away by the storm would eventually flow back, and it was possible that another reverse storm would occur. Therefore, he had to hurry to salvage the treasure.
He removed the Magic Circle barrier and emerged from the cave. The Demon Beasts that had been sheltering with him were nowhere to be found. Without a second thought, he leaped down towards the sea surface. As he approached, he released his Xing Zhou and landed steadily on it. He sensed his way down towards the seabed. Fortunately, the tide had carried away hundreds of zhang of Lava; Mo Wen only needed to dive a few miles before reaching the ocean floor. The moment he sensed what lay below, his eyes lit up, but his hands did not stop moving. He set down the Beast Bone Cage and cast his net. The moment the Beast Bone Cage left the Lava, Mo Wen felt a bit breathless. The light gate opened, and he dumped everything from the cage into it all at once. This was an opportune moment for salvage; sorting could wait for later.
After two hours, Mo Wen had thoroughly cleared out the area beneath his cave. Although it was called cleaning, his small boat had hardly moved from its spot. After several trips, a small mountain of materials and several Demon Beast Skeletons had piled up in his Square Inch World. These Skeletons were all at least of Jade Body Realm caliber, and if they were alive, he would have had to take a detour.
After clearing out the seabed beneath his Mountain Body, Mo Wen set off towards another giant pillar. Based on the flow of Lava and the shape of the massive stone columns, he could accurately determine where treasures lay at the bottom and salvage them accordingly. There were even times when he personally dived into the depths for recovery.
A month later, Mo Wen had visited nearly all nearby stone pillars and began heading towards where the waves were crashing in. The map provided by Elder Zhu had lost much of its usefulness; many landmarks had been destroyed or disappeared during this wave event. However, what remained offered him significant convenience—now he only needed to follow the markings to locate those largest stone pillars.
After another month of exploration, Mo Wen cleared an area of sea that held few targets but yielded substantial rewards. Moreover, these finds were of a higher quality than those from a month prior; it seemed his hypothesis was correct—the more advanced items were located deeper within. Even raw materials had high purity levels and were heavier, causing them to sink faster than those laden with impurities.
Thus, as Mo Wen continued to "pick treasures," he ventured deeper into the Lava Sea. He was eager to discover where this storm originated and what caused such a massive upheaval. Meanwhile, in Huo Lou's town near Lava Sea, the scorching sea breeze grew stronger as more adventurers gathered to enter Lava Sea. Yet no one dared to venture in before witnessing the towering waves caused by the storm; once they confirmed that the highest lava tide began to recede, tens of thousands would swarm into the entrance.
