The King's Eight Soup still hadn't been simmered to perfection. 0

The chef, Jiu Jiu, was summoned by someone sent by Tao Tie, while the ingredients, Turtle Prime Minister, hurried off to report the good news he had brought from the South Sea to the Dragon King. 0

Tao Tie lounged leisurely on a soft couch, a knowing smile playing on his lips as he looked at Jiu Jiu. After a long pause, he finally spoke slowly, “I heard you were quite impressive today. You even said that if I told you to go east, you wouldn’t dare go west?” 0

He smiled enigmatically. “But I seem to remember things differently.” 0

Jiu Jiu managed a dry laugh. In front of Tao Tie, she always felt an inexplicable sense of guilt and lacked confidence. “People get old; their memories fade. It’s understandable to mix things up…” 0

“Oh?” He raised an eyebrow but remained silent with a smile. 0

Just as Jiu Jiu was about to respond with a laugh, a voice from outside interrupted her. “Your Highness, the Dragon King has summoned you.” 0

“For what reason?” 0

“It is said to be regarding your marriage with the South Sea Third Princess.” 0

So this was the good news Turtle Prime Minister had brought. 0

Jiu Jiu couldn't help but recall the strange smile he had given her before leaving, and suddenly her heart felt like it was being scratched by a cat's paw, making her increasingly uncomfortable. 0

She bit her lip, her face suddenly paling. 0

Tao Tie noticed the change in her expression and smirked slightly. “Just in time; the chef we invited from Heaven will certainly come in handy.” 0

He fixed his gaze on Jiu Jiu and said word by word, "As long as you prepare a banquet that satisfies me on the day of my wedding, I will let you return to the Heavenly Realm. I will no longer pursue the past. How does that sound?" 0

The development of events completely exceeded Jiu Jiu's expectations. What had happened in the East Sea over the past few days was more than what she had experienced in the hundreds of years spent in the Heavenly Realm. She began to reflect on whether her comfortable life in the Heavenly Realm had caused her mind to rust, making her tongue clumsy and her heart's resilience plummet. It took only a slight provocation for the thorny seed buried deep within her heart to start sprouting. 0

After a full day of reflection, she finally came up with a result. 0

With a large spoon in hand, she stormed into the Turtle Prime Minister's residence, shouting with authority, "Wang Ba, get out here!" 0

After much thought, she attributed her discomfort to not having eaten well enough in the Dragon Palace and decided to personally cook a hearty bowl of King's Eight Soup as a reward for herself. 0

She vowed that her visit to the Turtle Prime Minister was definitely not because of that ridiculous marriage announcement he brought from the South Sea, nor was it because he was the only one who knew about her past with Tao Tie. That Gourmet even had the audacity to speak as if she owed him something! 0

Damn the past! Although she longed to leave this wretched place and return to the Heavenly Realm to continue her carefree life, it would absolutely not be through such a humiliating compromise. 0

The Turtle Prime Minister emerged with a smile, "What brings you here, Jiu Yatou?" 0

Jiu Jiu bared her teeth at him without saying a word and swung the large spoon directly at him. 0

At that moment, the Turtle Prime Minister displayed an agility that was quite uncharacteristic for his age, quickly retracting his head into his shell with a swift motion. 0

Jiu Jiu was caught off guard; the spoon she swung could not be stopped and flew out of her hand. 0

Everything happened in the blink of an eye. 0

Suddenly, a Dragon Horn Girl appeared behind the Turtle Prime Minister. Spoon was just about to make intimate contact with her stunningly beautiful face when an unseen force abruptly stopped Spoon, sending it back on its original path. 0

Jiu Jiu hadn’t fully grasped what was happening when she heard the wind whooshing past her ears, stinging her face. When she turned around, she saw her Spoon shattered into pieces, having met a tragic end. 0

It turned out that the sound of the wind was caused by Spoon flying past her cheek. If it hadn’t been for that slight distance, her already unremarkable face would have been even less presentable. 0

When she saw the person who had sent Spoon back, Jiu Jiu’s heart sank completely. 0

With a cry of despair, she lunged toward the remnants of Spoon, crying out earnestly, “Waaah! Spoon, how could you bear to let me send a black-haired spoon to the white-haired fairy? I’ve nurtured you for hundreds of years; how could you leave me? You’ve gone, but why is there nothing left of you? Waaah! Your death is so tragic!” 0

Perhaps they hadn’t anticipated that things would escalate to such a situation; Tao Tie and the others stood there dumbfounded, allowing Jiu Jiu to wail over Spoon’s fragments without reacting. 0

After wiping her tears, Jiu Jiu paused for a moment, exhausted from crying. She then said, “With Spoon gone, this wedding banquet can’t happen. I might as well return to Heaven and plead my case to the Jade Emperor. Meanwhile, I wish you all a long-lasting marriage and may you soon have a precious dragon.” Without waiting for their response, she unexpectedly took to the air. 0

Tao Tie was the first to snap back to reality; his expression changed as he quickly chased after her. “Idiot! Are you trying to get yourself killed?” 0

Jiu Jiu suddenly stopped and viciously kicked Tao Tie’s deceptively innocent-looking face as he caught up with her. Tears still glistened in her eyes, but she wore a triumphant smile. “You’ll pay with your life for my spoon! You Gourmet, die!” 0

He was the real fool! Did he really think she had forgotten about the curse he placed on her? Did he think she would play with her life? This life was something she treasured more than anyone else. 0

Because it was one she had painstakingly snatched from Tao Tie’s grasp—not just in this moment of compromise but also five hundred years ago when she had escaped after incapacitating him. 0
