“Mr. Jiang, I apologize for what happened before.” Jiang Chen stood by the railing, gazing at the flowing river, when Liu Liangmei suddenly approached him and spoke with an apologetic tone.
The fact that a proud woman like Liu Liangmei would soften her stance was undoubtedly due to the shock Jiang Chen's strength had instilled in her. It was well-known that Liu Liangmei treated Ye Xiaoying with indifference.

“Mr. Jiang, please don’t tease me. I’m not some remarkable person; I’m just an eccentric old woman,” Liu Liangmei replied.
“You’re not old at all; you’re very youthful. There are few women on Earth who take care of themselves as well as you do,” Jiang Chen remarked sincerely.
Liu Liangmei smiled awkwardly and, like Jiang Chen, looked out over the river, as if she had something to say but hesitated to speak.
“Liu Pavilion Master, is there something on your mind?” After about a minute of silence, Jiang Chen directly asked her.
“I have an unwanted request,” Liu Liangmei suddenly said, her expression serious.
“Go ahead.”
“It’s like this: Mr. Jiang, you should know that I am the heir of the Hidden Sect's Zhai Yue Pavilion. Although our Zhai Yue Pavilion was destroyed in war, my master escaped at that time and later took me and my junior sister as disciples. Before my master passed away, he entrusted us with the Shuangyue Jade Pendant. This pendant consists of two halves and is related to a secret of our Zhai Yue Pavilion. My master hoped that my junior sister and I could revive the Zhai Yue Pavilion in the future. However, after my master’s death, my junior sister seemed to have strong objections to me being the new Zhai Yue Pavilion Master. Although she entered the sect later than I did, her talent surpasses mine, so she believes she should be the rightful candidate for the position. She resented my master for not passing the title to her. Our conflict reached its peak shortly after my master’s passing. To my surprise, she took advantage of my unguarded moment and stole her half of the jade pendant before vanishing without a trace.”
Liu Liangmei spoke slowly, her tone tinged with sadness and anger.
Jiang Chen listened silently without interrupting.
After calming down slightly, Liu Liangmei continued, “I searched for her for a long time but couldn’t find her. Eventually, I needed to survive too; just then, Zeng Lao found me and asked me to help train some Martial Arts Special Forces. I agreed but never gave up searching for my junior sister.”
“Finally, heaven rewards those who persevere—I found out where my junior sister is! She went to Treasure Island and even established a sect there called Xuan Yue Sect. She probably kept a low profile out of fear of being discovered by me. However, there’s no wall that doesn’t let the wind through. Of course, she founded this sect to promote our Zhai Yue Pavilion’s techniques; I can’t blame her for that. But what infuriates me is that she violated our sect’s rules by teaching our techniques to outsiders—women from Island Nation, Goryeo, and the United States can pay to join Xuan Yue Sect because it specializes in teaching women’s martial arts and has become quite popular among high-ranking women.”
