Hui Nai lay completely relaxed in the treatment room. 0

The elegantly arranged space, with its soft lighting and music, along with Qing He's gentle whispers, truly coaxed one into a dreamlike state. 0

Suddenly, Hui Nai felt a wave of fatigue rising from the depths of her heart. For a long time, Ryoji's death had been like a treacherous quagmire, and she had become completely ensnared, unable to extricate herself. But here, in this hypnotic state, Hui Nai finally found complete relaxation and liberation. Her breathing was steady, and the beating of her heart seemed to resonate with a certain rhythm. 0

Qing He kept his voice as calm as possible, his tone soothing. The effects of hypnosis varied greatly depending on the skill of the hypnotist. Fortunately, Qing He could already be considered an expert in this field. 0

"You're feeling very relaxed and calm now, aren't you? Just like that, it will become even more comfortable. Come on, Hui Nai, cooperate with me. Your vision is starting to blur; you can’t see clearly anymore. 0

"Close your eyes... Your body is becoming heavy and hard to support. Just let it go; slowly allow yourself to drift off to sleep. Don't worry; it's very safe here. There's nothing for Hui Nai to be concerned about... Slowly, like immersing your body in a hot spring. Can you feel that warmth? 0

"Now, sleep has descended upon your entire being; you are beginning to fall asleep..." 0

At this moment, for Hui Nai, it seemed quite nice to just sleep on without sadness or pain. She closed her eyes and gradually sank into slumber under Qing He's murmurs. 0

However, not long ago, things were not like this at all. His tone was no longer filled with the tenderness and care it once held but was instead laced with impatience. Then he silently gathered the broken pieces and threw them away before turning back to the bedroom, leaving Hui Nai with a cold back view. He didn’t see the tears welling up in her eyes. 0

How could love turn into this? Is marriage really like this? Why did it feel so cold when they were clearly still in love? 0

That night, the two had begun arguing again. Ryoji mercilessly accused Hui Nai of her unreasonable thoughts. This only deepened Hui Nai's sorrow. 0

The train came to a stop, interrupting Hui Nai's reflections. Reluctantly, she took one step at a time back home. Some things had to be faced after all, especially since it was Ryoji whom she loved deeply and with whom she would spend her life. Perhaps things would improve; after all, she had indeed been overthinking. Maybe Ryoji had already forgiven her as well. 0

Returning home with such thoughts, Hui Nai encountered an even greater disappointment. Ryoji, who had arrived home earlier, wore a cold and weary expression. Even upon seeing Hui Nai return, he showed no additional reaction. 0

After all, they both had jobs, and it was inevitable to feel exhausted and face difficult times. But Hui Nai was equally worn out. The grievances from the previous night surged back to her mind. Coupled with a day of fatigue and the lack of proper rest in recent days, Hui Nai felt utterly drained. She didn't even want to prepare dinner; instead, she lay down on the sofa, hoping to rest for a moment. 0

At that moment, she heard Ryoji's low and somewhat displeased voice: "How about we go out for dinner together?" 0

It felt reminiscent of that night. After working until physically and mentally exhausted, she sat on the train home in a daze, devoid of any desire to return home. In fact, she wished the journey could stretch a little longer so she wouldn't have to go back so soon. 0

Why did she think this way? Wasn't Ryoji at home? Why did she not want to see him? Why did the thought of him no longer evoke sweet heart palpitations and warmth but rather anxiety and fatigue? What had happened? Had they quarreled again? Oh, it was like that. What was the reason? Recently, it had been this way; although they were engaged, their relationship seemed increasingly unstable. This time, the argument had started over a broken cup, with Ryoji saying a few words of reproach. 0

Whether it was due to exhaustion or some inner resistance, Hui Nai did not respond to him. Yet Ryoji gently took a blanket and draped it over her. 0

"Hui Nai, Hui Nai, wake up!" 0

Hui Nai struggled to open her eyes and saw Doctor Qinghe's anxious and tense face, momentarily taken aback. 0

"Hui Nai, how are you? I was hypnotizing you and didn't expect you to actually fall asleep." Seeing Hui Nai's dazed expression, the doctor continued to ask with concern, "Is there anything unusual? Are you feeling unwell?" It was rare for a patient to fall asleep during hypnosis. 0

Fortunately, Hui Nai's expression gradually returned to normal as if she were waking up. However, the profound sorrow that had long been absent now surfaced on her face. 0

"Qing He, just now... I saw Ryoji again. But it seems that our last moments together weren't very pleasant; there were even arguments and coldness..." 0

The doctor patiently listened and offered comfort at appropriate moments: "Hui Nai, isn't this quite normal? Don't couples argue? Even if there are misunderstandings, love doesn't diminish because of them. Moreover, with Hirota-kun gone now, I hope you can remember only the good things—the times when Hirota-kun cared for you and cherished you." 0

Hui Nai cast a grateful glance at the doctor, clearly taking his words to heart. "Actually, it's quite nice. It brings back many memories that I had forgotten. Qing He’s skills are truly remarkable." 0

Qing He smiled slightly in response. "I just want to help you, Hui Nai." 0

For some reason, those words made Hui Nai lower her head sadly. "I owe you too much, Qing He. I probably won't be able to repay it even in my next life." 0

Qing He interrupted her gently. "Hui Nai, if you still consider me a friend, please don’t be so formal with me. Besides, your feelings for Ryoji would touch anyone; they would want to help. You don’t need to feel too burdened." 0

Though the words were spoken, how could the heart remain as calm as still water? Some things simply could not be voiced. Qing He could only silently watch the woman before him. 0

Considering that Hui Nai's physical and mental state was not very stable, they agreed to schedule the hypnosis sessions once a week. This meant that from now on, Qing He would hypnotize Hui Nai weekly until she fully recovered the memories of that night. 0
