The decision to bring Qing He over was indeed a grave mistake for Hui Nai. However, it was too late for regrets. Under the influence of alcohol, Ryoji unexpectedly pushed the unsuspecting Qing He to the ground. 0

A war erupted. The two men fought fiercely, fueled by their anger and frustration. 0

The scene was chaotic. Helpless, Hui Nai could only cry out in fear, "Stop! Please don't fight anymore!" 0

But this tumultuous situation was beyond her control. She rushed forward bravely and grabbed Ryoji. 0

In his dazed state, Ryoji slapped her hard. 0

The loud sound momentarily silenced everyone. Tears streamed down Hui Nai's face as she covered her swollen cheek, unable to utter a word in her sorrow. 0

Ryoji seemed to regain some clarity. 0

Yet, in such circumstances, how could he apologize or express regret? He stubbornly shouted at Hui Nai, "It's all because you fell for someone else that we ended up like this." 0

Qing He's eyes turned red with anger. "So this is how Ryoji has always treated Hui Nai. All those moments of affection were just for show. How much has Hui Nai suffered to confide in me about her pain every day? I thought she was just overly sensitive. I won't let you get away with this. For Hui Nai's sake, I will take my revenge on you." 0

Meanwhile, Hui Nai was already in agony, running toward the bedroom. 0

She couldn't even cry anymore. The pain on her face was severe, but the hurt in her heart was a million times worse. It was utterly irreparable now. So be it. It was finally over. 0

After an unknown amount of time had passed, Hui Nai finally made up her mind to confront Ryoji and end their relationship. It was better than being together while constantly doubting and arguing with each other. 0

Hui Nai struggled to step out of the room, preparing to face the most difficult decision of her life. However, the scene before her took her by surprise. 0

Ryoji lay helplessly on the ground, his eyes tightly shut, his face an ashen pale, and his body completely still. Meanwhile, Qing He stood nearby in a daze, holding an empty syringe. 0

Hui Nai rushed over and helped Ryoji up. "Ryoji, are you okay? Ryoji, please say something." 0

But Ryoji could no longer respond. He was dead; his breath and heartbeat had ceased. 0

If the previous cold war and their recent argument had shattered Hui Nai's heart, at this moment, she fully understood the feeling of having her heart ripped out. Ryoji was gone, taking with him her love and the very meaning of her life. 0

In that instant, Hui Nai almost wished to die alongside Ryoji. Perhaps it would be enough to take his place in death. Just not like this—desperately holding her lover's cold body, unable to breathe. 0

Hui Nai lifted her head and looked at Qing He. "What happened? What’s wrong with Ryoji?" 0

Qing He had come back to reality from his frenzied agitation; now he was left with exhaustion and anxiety. 0

His body trembled, cold sweat continuously sliding down his forehead. "He’s dead. I killed him. I didn’t want to see you suffer pain and torment, so I killed him." 0

After Hui Nai left, driven by impulse and anger, Qing He had looked at Ryoji, who was once again unconscious from intoxication, and a murderous intent had arisen within him. 0

It was a commonly used sedative; even Hui Nai relied on it to calm her emotions when she was unstable. But if the concentration was raised high enough and injected into the body, it could lead to sudden cardiac arrest. 0

It appeared no different from a typical heart attack death. As a psychologist, Qing He certainly understood its uses and dangers all too well. 0

Beside him, there happened to be such a poison. 0

Thus, Qing He orchestrated Ryoji's death. 0

"Please, Hui Nai, accept my condolences. After all, it was Ryoji who wronged you first and caused you harm. What I did was merely to avenge you and free you from your suffering." 0

In disbelief at this heartless reality, Hui Nai trembled as she asked, "Qing He, this can't be true. How could you kill Ryoji?" 0

Qing He lowered his head. "Hui Nai, it's hard for you to accept right now. But what he did to you is, in my eyes, an unforgivable sin; he deserves to die a thousand times over. 0

"And don’t worry, Hui Nai. No one will discover that Ryoji was murdered. They will think he died of a sudden heart attack. No one will suspect me or you. You can live in peace from now on." 0

He suddenly adopted a serious and earnest demeanor. "In fact, I did this for you. After knowing you for so long, my feelings for you have only grown stronger. Yet you loved Ryoji. Perhaps I have always harbored resentment towards him. I thought that as long as you could be happy, I could overlook it. But today, witnessing how Ryoji tormented you was unbearable. Now that Ryoji, the obstacle between us, is gone, can you consider accepting me? 0

"I love you deeply, Hui Nai." 0
