Liu Yun actually took the initiative to propose marriage. 0

Hearing her words, I nearly jumped off the sofa. Liu Yun proposed marriage! I thought this was something that should be brought up by the man first. 0

"Are you... serious?" I could hardly believe my ears. 0

"Of course I'm serious," Liu Yun gently patted me, "Don't you want to marry me?" 0

"I do, I've dreamed about it!" I quickly replied, fearing she might change her mind. "I just didn't expect you to bring it up first." 0

Suddenly, Liu Yun's smile faded, and she looked at me seriously. "However, before you agree, there's something I must tell you." 0

Seeing her serious expression made my heart skip a beat. Could it be that she had some hidden concern? 0

"What is it? Just tell me; whatever it is, I can accept it." I mustered my courage to say. 0

Liu Yun took a deep breath. "Yang Jianyun, I am DINK." 0

"DINK?" I momentarily didn’t grasp what she meant. 0

"It means 'Dual Income No Kids,'" Liu Yun explained. "If you marry me, it means we will never have our own children." 0

Upon hearing this, I felt a bit shocked but was more puzzled. "Why? Is it that you can't have children, or you just don't want to?" 0

"I don't want to," Liu Yun said firmly. "I believe life should be lived for oneself. Raising children is too exhausting; it requires sacrificing too much. I don't want to live a life revolving around kids." 0

I leaned back on the sofa, unsure of what to say for a moment. To be honest, I had never thought about this issue before. In my understanding, getting married and having children was something natural, as instinctive as eating and drinking. 0

"Are you angry?" Seeing that I was silent, Liu Yun asked with some concern. 0

"No," I shook my head. "I just didn't expect this question. Can you give me some time to think about it?" 0

Liu Yun nodded, a hint of disappointment flashing in her eyes. "I understand." 0

That night, I tossed and turned, unable to sleep. My mind was filled with Liu Yun's words. What would a marriage without children be like? Would I regret it? But if I lost Liu Yun because of this, I might regret it even more. 0

Early the next morning, I called Liu Yun and asked her to meet me. "I've thought it over," I said, looking firmly into her eyes. "I want to marry you, regardless of whether we have children or not." 0

Liu Yun's eyes lit up instantly. "Are you sure? This is not a small matter." 0

"I'm sure," I replied, taking her hand. "To me, you are more important than anything else. Your body is yours; you have the right to decide whether or not to have children. I respect your choice." 0

Liu Yun hugged me tightly and whispered in my ear, "Thank you for understanding me. I promise I'll make you the happiest man in the world." 0

And so, we decided to step into the realm of marriage together. 0

On our way to register for marriage, Liu Yun suddenly posed a question. "Yang Jianyun, are you really willing to get a vasectomy for me? Have you thought about it? If we divorce in the future and you remarry, you might never have the chance to be a father." 0

"What are you talking about?" I laughed dismissively. "We won't get divorced. Besides, if it comes to that, I can always have a reversal surgery." 0

Liu Yun shook her head. "The success rate of reversals isn't very high." 0

Seeing the worry on her face, I gently brushed her furrowed brow. "You don't need to worry; we will never be apart in this lifetime." After all, it's just a minor procedure. 0
