"A coward who doesn't even dare to meet me, and you're still defending him?" My anger had reached its peak. "Did he marry you? Will he sacrifice everything for you like I did?"

"What if one day you change again? Will you abandon this child just like you abandoned me?"
Liu Yun's gaze suddenly sharpened. "Yang Jianyun, calm down! I didn't abandon you; I just don't love you anymore. That's two different things."
"Don't love me anymore?" I scoffed. "When did you stop loving me? What day or moment did you decide to betray me?"
"I don't want to discuss this," Liu Yun shook her head. "Anyway, I've decided to get a divorce; the lawyer is already preparing the documents."
"A lawyer?" I could hardly believe my ears. "You found a lawyer behind my back? How long have you been planning this?"
"Enough!" Liu Yun suddenly raised her voice. "Yang Jianyun, let's both calm down. It's too late for that; there's no point in saying more. We might as well..."
"Might as well what? Part on good terms?" I interrupted her. "You betrayed me and still want to walk away unscathed?"
Liu Yun took a deep breath. "I will pay the price for this. After the divorce, the house will be yours; I don't want any of the assets."
"You think money can solve everything?" My voice dropped dangerously low. "Everything I've done for you was for money?"
I chuckled softly to myself.
Liu Yun looked at me, a flicker of fear suddenly crossing her eyes. "Yang Jianyun, calm down. I know you're feeling hurt right now, but we can resolve this civilly."
"Civilly?" I scoffed. "You cheated on me behind my back, got pregnant with someone else's child, and you talk about civility?"
"You are such a despicable person."
I slowly walked towards her.
Seeing this, Liu Yun hurriedly retreated towards the door. "Yang Jianyun, what are you going to do? Calm down!"
I couldn't tell if it was just my imagination, but I noticed her hand gently resting on her belly.
That gesture was like a fuse, igniting the bomb that had been building in my heart.
I lunged at her, my hands gripping her throat.
"Why? Why do this to me?" I screamed, tightening my grip.
Liu Yun's face turned crimson as she desperately clawed at my arms, trying to break free. Her eyes widened in terror.
"Let... go... please..." she managed to choke out.
But I could no longer hear anything; all I saw was a sea of red.
Thirteen years of dedication, thirteen years of trust, thirteen years of love—all wasted.
I hated her, hated her betrayal, hated her lies, and hated the child growing inside her.
