Everyone was slightly taken aback by the conversation between the two, realizing that they were Sister Disciples. However, the seemingly warm reunion was laced with an undercurrent of tension.
"Master, she... she is your Senior Sister?" Du Yujie exclaimed in surprise as she hurried to stand beside her master upon her arrival.

"I heard today is your fiftieth birthday. As your Senior Sister, I specially came from the capital to bring you a gift," Liu Liangmei said as she presented a wrapped gift with both hands.
Lou Yijing’s expression darkened as she regarded the gift without immediately accepting it. Who knew what kind of trickery this gift might hold? She had no faith that Liu Liangmei had any good intentions; if it were some hidden weapon, she would be in trouble.
"Let’s forget it; our bond as Sister Disciples has long since faded. You can keep your gift; I won’t accept it," Lou Yijing replied coolly.
"Junior Sister, are you afraid to accept it or simply unwilling?" Liu Liangmei laughed lightly. Her cheerful demeanor made it difficult for Lou Yijing to refuse outright.
"Don’t worry; I won’t harm you with this gift. If you don’t accept it, you might regret it," Liu Liangmei continued with an almost coaxing tone.
With Liu Liangmei being so polite, if Lou Yijing insisted on refusing again, it would only make her seem insecure. Cleverly, she turned to Du Yujie and said, "Yujie, you take it for me."
Du Yujie didn’t think much of it and directly accepted the gift from Liu Liangmei.
"Open it and take a look," Liu Liangmei urged with a smile.
"Open it," Lou Yijing instructed Du Yujie.
Obediently, Du Yujie unwrapped the gift to reveal a clay figure that was somewhat abstract but clearly represented a woman.
The onlookers were curious about what kind of gift Liu Liangmei had brought. Upon seeing that it was merely a Broken Clay Figure worth perhaps a dollar at most, they were all left disappointed.
