Accompanying Peng Zai were two young officers. Lowering his voice, Peng Zai said anxiously, "We've been fooled! I just checked those wooden crates and found them completely empty! That cunning Long Tianming is not planning to transport goods by train at all!" 0

"What?" Lin Mingchang and Fang Zigui's expressions changed simultaneously. 0

Shen Tong spoke softly, "Using trucks is indeed more discreet than trains, and it's easier to change routes at any time." 0

"I've contacted Director Zhou and Officer Zheng using the station's management office phone," Peng Zai continued. "Director Zhou believes that Long Tianming must be transporting goods by truck. There’s a main road out of Guiyang that leads to Azure Dragon Bridge. Director Zhou has already arranged for people to set up a checkpoint at Azure Dragon Bridge, but he’s worried there might not be enough time. He wants us to hurry over and find a way to stop Long Tianming." 0

"Then what are we waiting for?" Xiaoshuang said. "Let’s get moving!" 0

The four of them immediately followed Peng Zai through the bustling crowd and rode towards the train station exit. The sounds of drums and lusheng from the Flower Mountain Festival gradually faded behind them. 0

After about forty minutes, they arrived at Azure Dragon Bridge. 0

The bridge was small but served as a crucial route out of the city. Its stone structure arched like a sleeping dragon over a small river, with only enough space for a single truck to pass. The dirt roads on both ends of the bridge were slightly open, overgrown with wild grass and shrubs. 0

There were few pedestrians on the bridge; only a few farmers carrying bamboo baskets strolled leisurely towards the other side. They did not see any reinforcements sent by Director Zhou, likely still en route. 0

Lin Mingchang dismounted from his bicycle and crouched down to examine the road surface at the bridgehead closely. He gently poked at the soil with his fingers, frowning slightly. 0

"Long Tianming's convoy shouldn't have passed through here yet; there are no tire tracks on the dirt road." 0

"That's right." Shen Tong stood beside him, squinting his right eye. "There are also no signs of Gu Qi or Toxic Miasma on this bridge." 0

Lin Mingchang stood up and looked around. "Where's Peng Zai?" 0

"Right here!" Peng Zai came running from a nearby road corner. "I was scouting ahead and noticed something was off." 0

"What did you find?" Lin Mingchang asked. 0

Peng Zai pointed to a muddy path not far beneath the bridge. This narrow, winding path was overgrown with weeds, clearly an infrequently traveled route that twisted its way into the mountains. 0

"That path is rarely used, but I just saw a lot of fresh footprints on it." 0

Lin Mingchang stroked his chin and analyzed, "If those footprints belong to Long Tianming's people, they can't be far from here; otherwise, they would have chosen motorcycles or bicycles. I suspect they might be nearby loading their goods, ready to leave Guiyang via Azure Dragon Bridge at any moment." 0

"What should we do now?" Peng Zai asked. 0

Lin Mingchang made a quick decision, "Let's go, follow them!" 0

Peng Zai left a Little Officer behind at Azure Dragon Bridge to wait for backup from the Police Station. Then he took another officer and followed Lin Mingchang down the small path. 0

This path ran close to the water's edge, winding and twisting, with weeds growing thickly on both sides. 0

Along the way, they noticed clear signs of human footprints in the grass, with several muddy patches still wet, the edges smeared with fresh grass. 0

Following these traces, they walked for less than ten minutes, and the sycamore trees and wild grasses by the roadside gradually thinned out, revealing an open area ahead. 0
