Qin Si handed over the letter, and Aelia took it, but her fingertips trembled uncontrollably.
The Fire Seal on the envelope was so familiar; it belonged to Leonard, a symbol of the supreme power of the Glorious Demon Fortress.
Yet at this moment, the seal felt like a sharp blade, piercing her heart deeply.
She slowly opened the envelope, and the familiar Tiny Inscriptions on the letterhead came into view.
Each word seemed to be soaked in poison, sending waves of dizziness through her.
The content of the letter was simple, yet enough to shatter the beautiful dream she had painstakingly built over the years.
Leonard had a concubine outside, someone with whom he shared a deep bond, and they even had a child together!
“No… this can’t be happening…” Aelia murmured, her voice breaking like leaves in the wind.
Her complexion instantly turned pale as paper, and her hand trembled uncontrollably as she held the letterhead, as if she might faint at any moment.
For years, she had believed herself to be the happiest woman in the world.
She married the man she loved, becoming the Lady of the Fortress in the Glorious Demon Fortress, enjoying an enviable status and power.
She loved Leonard wholeheartedly, managing their household, bearing children for him, silently giving everything she had.
But now, all that beauty had burst like a bubble.
Her husband, the man she loved deeply, had betrayed her!
He had built a love nest outside, nurturing the fruits of love with another woman!
This was an enormous irony, a cruel mockery of her years of devotion!
Aelia felt as if the world was spinning around her, a heavy stone pressing against her chest, making it hard for her to breathe.
Her eyes were filled with rage as she stared at the letterhead in her hand, as if she could burn it to ashes with her gaze.
Her mind was a chaotic whirlwind, countless thoughts racing through, yet she couldn't grasp any of them.
She recalled the sweetness of their first meeting, his gentle gaze, and his solemn promises.
Those memories that once brought her happiness and joy had now turned into sharp blades, stabbing mercilessly at her heart.
"Why... why do this to me..." Aelia's voice was hoarse and desperate, tears streaming down her cheeks, falling like rain.
She felt as if her world had collapsed, all her beliefs and hopes reduced to nothing.
She sat slumped in the chair, the letterhead slipping weakly from her grasp.
Her eyes were hollow and lost, as if she had lost all sense of self.
She didn't know what to do, whom to trust, or how to face the future.
Qin Si watched her anxiously from the side, wanting to comfort her but unsure where to begin.
She knew how much this incident had impacted Aelia, and she understood that what she needed now was time and space.
At that moment, a tender voice broke the silence of the chamber.
“Mommy, what’s wrong?”
Luna took her wobbly little steps and walked over to Aelia, gently tugging at her hem with her chubby little hand.
Her small face was filled with concern, and her big, watery eyes were brimming with worry.
Seeing Luna, a wave of sorrow surged within Aelia.
She scooped Luna into her arms, holding her tightly as if she wanted to merge her into her very being.
“Luna… my Luna…” Aelia choked out, tears streaming down her face uncontrollably.
Sensing Aelia's sadness, Luna's little face showed a look of sympathy.
She reached out her small hand and gently patted Aelia's back, comforting her in her childish voice, “Don’t cry, Mommy. Luna will protect you.”
Hearing Luna's words brought a flicker of comfort to Aelia’s heart.
She knew that Luna was a sensible child; despite her young age, she always managed to bring warmth and strength to her life.
“Luna,” Aelia softly stroked Luna's hair and said gently, “Mommy is okay; I’m just a little sad.”
"Mom," Luna looked up, her gaze serious as she addressed Aelia, "Luna knows why you're sad."
Aelia was taken aback, staring at Luna in confusion.
"It's that Bad Dad, isn't it?" Luna said angrily, her small face filled with fury.
A wave of sorrow surged within Aelia once more. She hadn't expected Luna to know anything at all.
"Luna," Aelia said softly, "adult matters are complicated. You're still young and don't understand."
"I'm not small!" Luna pouted in dissatisfaction. "Luna knows that Bad Dad bullied Mom, and I want to help Mom teach him a lesson!"
Seeing Luna's puffed-up cheeks, Aelia couldn't help but laugh.
She felt her sadness lighten a little, replaced by a sense of warmth and hope.
"Alright, Luna will help Mom teach him a lesson," Aelia said with a smile, gently pinching Luna's cheek.
"Mom," Luna suddenly said seriously, "Luna will also help Big Brother lift the Magic Backlash curse, help Second Brother out of the Magic Dilemma, and make Brother San stop neglecting his training!"
Aelia was taken aback again, staring at Luna in surprise.
She knew that her children each faced their own struggles, but she had always felt helpless to solve them.
She never expected Luna to be so confident, as if everything was within her grasp.
“Luna, is what you said true?” Aelia asked excitedly.
“Of course it’s true!” Luna proudly puffed out her small chest. “Luna is really amazing!”
Seeing Luna’s confident demeanor filled Aelia’s heart with hope.
She believed that Luna would surely help her Children and change their Destiny.
“Alright, Mommy believes in you,” Aelia said with a smile, hugging Luna tightly.
Just then, a knock sounded at the door.
“Madam, Third Young Master Lucius requests an audience,” Qin Si's voice came from outside.
Upon hearing this, Aelia felt uncertain about how to face Lucius and how to explain everything to him.
“Let him in,” Aelia sighed, speaking helplessly.
Lucius entered the secret chamber and upon seeing Aelia and Luna, a look of concern appeared on his face.
“Mother, are you alright?” Lucius asked worriedly.
“I’m fine,” Aelia shook her head, forcing a smile.
“Luna,” Lucius turned to look at Luna, curiously asking, “What were you talking about with Mother?”
“We're talking about magic!” Luna exclaimed excitedly. “Brother Lucius, are you interested in magic?”
“Of course I am!” Lucius replied with a smile. “I've always wanted to be as powerful as you, a Mage!”
“I can teach you!” Luna said proudly. “I know a lot about magic!”
“Really?” Lucius asked in surprise. “You're so young, how could you know so much?”
“Luna is the reincarnation of the Grand Sorcerer of the Magic Realm!” she declared with pride.
Lucius paused for a moment, then burst into laughter.
“Luna, you're just too adorable!” Lucius chuckled. “I can't take what you say seriously.”
“Hmph, you don't believe me!” Luna pouted in dissatisfaction. “Just wait until I show you; then you'll see how powerful I am!”
“Alright, I’ll be waiting to see,” Lucius said with a smile.
With that, Luna began to excitedly share all the magical knowledge she had with Lucius.
It was as if her little head contained a vast library, effortlessly pulling out various profound magical theories and spells that left Lucius dumbfounded.
Initially, Lucius had just intended to amuse the child, but as he listened, he found himself increasingly astonished.
Much of what Luna spoke about was knowledge he had never encountered before, and some of it even his mentor was unaware of.
He began to listen intently, occasionally asking questions.
Luna always had a way of explaining complex issues in simple, easy-to-understand language, making everything clear to him.
“Luna,” Lucius said in surprise, “you are amazing! I’ve never met a child as smart as you!”
“Of course!” Luna replied proudly. “Luna is the best!”
Seeing Luna’s proud demeanor, Lucius couldn’t help but laugh.
He found himself growing fonder of this Sister.
As night fell, Luna lay on her soft bed but couldn’t fall asleep.
So much had happened today that her little mind felt a bit overwhelmed.
She thought of Aelia’s sadness, Leonard’s betrayal, the plight of her eldest brother, Second Brother, and Brother San, and Lucius’s astonishment.
She felt the weight of responsibility on her shoulders; she needed to grow up quickly to help her family and change their Destiny.
Lost in thought, she suddenly felt a bit hungry.
She quietly climbed out of bed and tiptoed to the kitchen, opened the cupboard, and took out the special dessert from the Magic Castle. She also gulped down quite a bit of Magic Fruit juice.
After satisfying her hunger and thirst, she returned to bed contentedly and soon drifted off to sleep.
But not long after, she began to toss and turn in her sleep, struggling.
She dreamed of being in a vast ocean, where the waves surged violently and the waters roared. She desperately tried to swim to the shore, but no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't move.
At that moment, she suddenly felt a warm current surge forth, instantly soaking the sheets.
"Ugh..." Luna let out a muffled groan, her small face contorted in pain.
Just then, Aelia heard the commotion and quickly got up to go to Luna's room.
She saw Luna struggling in bed, writhing in agony, and hurried over to gently shake her.
"Luna, wake up. What's wrong?" Aelia asked with concern.
Luna slowly opened her eyes and saw Aelia.
"Mom..." Luna's voice was weak.
"What happened? Did you have a nightmare?" Aelia asked tenderly.
"I... I don't know..." Luna shook her head, her small face filled with confusion.
Aelia carefully checked Luna and found that she had no fever or any other discomfort.
Only then did she feel relieved and gently tucked the blanket around Luna.
“It's all right, go to sleep,” Aelia said softly.
Luna obediently nodded, closed her eyes, and drifted back into dreamland.
Watching Luna sleep peacefully filled Aelia's heart with affection.
She gently stroked Luna's hair, silently vowing to protect this lovely little daughter and ensure her happiness forever.
The night passed without incident.
The next morning, Luna woke up to find the sheets damp.
Her eyes widened in shock, and a look of terror crossed her small face.
“Ah! I... I wet the bed!” Luna exclaimed.
She quickly jumped out of bed, trying to hide the wet sheets.
But with her small arms and legs, she couldn't move them at all.
Just then, a brilliant idea struck her.
She stealthily slipped out of the room, glanced around to make sure no one was watching, and tiptoed to the Magic Castle's Pet Room... Luna cautiously entered the Pet Room, where various magically enhanced pets lived, all fluffy and full of unique skills.
Her eyes immediately landed on a fluffy, adorable Magic Sheep that loved to roll around on soft beds.
Luna turned her eyes and devised a plan.
She struggled to open the sheep's pen and coaxed, in a baby voice, "Come on, little sheep, play with Sister Luna for a while. I have some tasty treats for you!"
The Magic Sheep couldn't resist Luna's temptation and wobbled its round bottom as it followed her out of the Pet Room.
Along the way, Luna picked some flowers and plants, intentionally luring the sheep closer to her room.
When they reached the door, Luna pointed at the damp bed sheets and said with righteous indignation, "Little sheep, look at this! Who told you to make a mess? Just wait until I tell Mommy!"
The Magic Sheep looked bewildered and innocently bleated, clearly confused since it had never seen the wet sheets before.
At that moment, Aelia walked in and was taken aback by the "irrefutable evidence" before her, unable to decide whether to laugh or cry.
Luna immediately jumped into Aelia's arms, pouting as she said, "Mommy, look! The little sheep made my bed wet! It's so naughty!"
Aelia glanced at the innocent bleating Magic Sheep and then at Luna's mischievous little eyes, understanding everything perfectly.
She gently poked Luna's nose and scolded playfully, "You little rascal."
The Magic Sheep rubbed against Aelia's skirt, seemingly trying to defend itself.
Luna proudly made a face at the Magic Sheep but secretly thought to herself, "Hmph! This is just the beginning. Next, let Luna change everyone's Destiny!"
