Despite this, everyone clearly felt that the hidden traces were becoming increasingly difficult to follow, while the strength of the Demonic Cult Monsters they encountered was also growing stronger. In addition to this, Ten Thousand Swords in One had to deal with many other troubles and difficulties. Although the route to the Barbaric Sacred Hall was considered the easiest, it was not a smooth journey after passing through the Sand Dance Maze and Clear Spring Lake.

According to what Duanmu Tie, Bai Duzai, and others had previously conveyed, only the two springs they initially reached—Lake Oasis—were safe in the Barbaric Desert. Along the way, all the large oases they passed could not be used for drinking water, and more strange creatures lurked among the green woods.
At times, this Wilderness truly evoked thoughts of ancient barbaric times. However, despite numerous challenges and setbacks, Ten Thousand Swords in One and the others persevered. Throughout their daily life-and-death struggles, everyone remained in an extremely tense state. Additionally, due to Ten Thousand Swords in One's generous guidance, Azure Pine, Tian Buyi, Shang Zhengliang, and Zeng Shuchang all made significant progress during this period. Among them, Tian Buyi showed the most remarkable improvement; he astonished even Ten Thousand Swords in One.
If we consider their strengths when they first left Azure Cloud Mountain Rainbow Bridge—ranked as Ten Thousand Swords in One, Azure Pine, Shang Zhengliang, Tian Buyi, and then Zeng Shuchang—after enduring such intense and somewhat brutal battles over several days, Tian Buyi's abilities had skyrocketed.

This spurred Tian Buyi into a frenzy as he searched for more savage beasts across the wilderness and eventually returned with three fierce beast heads.
These savage beasts were incredibly powerful creatures; encountering them carelessly could lead to life-threatening situations. Perhaps it was precisely through such life-and-death challenges that their abilities advanced so rapidly. Observing this situation inspired Zeng Shuchang and Shang Zhengliang as well. Both were disciples of Azure Cloud Sect—talented individuals who were not inferior to one another—and no one wanted to fall behind or lack competitive spirit.
Watching their fellow disciples improve frantically through rigorous training was unbearable for anyone. Thus, these two also joined the ranks of those pushing themselves (self-torturing) as they journeyed through one of the most perilous places in the Wilderness while honing their skills.
In the end, this group of five became stronger with each battle; their strength had significantly increased compared to when they first set out from Azure Cloud Mountain. Even Ten Thousand Swords in One felt that his own abilities had improved considerably and found it somewhat amusing or surprising reflecting on their unique experiences along the way.
Initially guided by Bai Duzai and Duanmu Tie toward a relatively easier yet longer route meant they spent over a month traversing through the Wilderness. They even took wrong turns several times but fortunately managed to find their way back each time. However, this journey proved quite arduous; sometimes they could have taken a more relaxed path but chose instead to challenge themselves due to a peculiar atmosphere of competition among them—all driven by an almost obsessive desire to surpass one another—leading them to provoke some powerful beasts along the way which brought about plenty of trouble for themselves but even more misfortune for those savage beasts that originally resided in this wilderness.
Everything continued until one day, they finally saw a corner of the majestic palace emerging on the distant horizon.
The Barbaric Sacred Hall of the Demon Cult finally appeared in their sight.
In the vast and flat wilderness desert, a mountain range suddenly rose abruptly, standing tall amidst the boundless sea of sand. The blazing sun hung in the sky, casting golden rays that illuminated the large palaces and halls on the mountain, resembling a divine temple overlooking the mortal world. Several mountain peaks were cut flat as if by a divine hand, and countless halls were built according to the terrain. Atop the largest peak stood the most magnificent hall. The ground around the hall was paved with stone bricks, smooth and even, colored like glazed tiles; the hall featured flying eaves and carved railings, with massive columns and large windows, facing north and south, grand and imposing.
The black palace walls were solemn and ancient, exuding an air of sternness, with golden footings around the walls that made it appear even more dignified and solemn. This was likely the most important Sanctuary of the Demon Cult mentioned in legends. From a distance, the Sanctuary loomed tall and grand. More than a hundred yards in front of the hall stood a high tower adorned with reliefs depicting various ancient mythical beasts. At first glance, one could see Hundun, Qiongqi, Taowu, Taotie, all appearing fierce and menacing, sending chills down one's spine.
In addition, above the door beam of the grand hall hung a black plaque inscribed with two golden characters: "Holy Bright," written in strong and vigorous strokes. The hall's entrance was wide and solemn, with several large yellow banners hanging from the crossbeam, fluttering in the wind. A strong wind blew towards them, carrying some sand that lifted their garments. Despite their serious expressions on their youthful faces, there was no sign of fear or retreat.
Under the sunlight, they stood side by side facing that towering black hall. Although there was a vast difference in status, they were full of spirit as if nothing in this world was worthy of fear in their eyes.
Even against millions of people and perilous lands, what is there to worry about?
