Jiang Chen met Liu Liangmei, who mentioned settling scores, and he merely smiled faintly. He felt it was inappropriate not to intervene, especially since he had promised to help her. However, he also recognized that Lou Yijing still had her uses, so he had no intention of killing her.

Although Lou Yijing had stolen the Shuangyue Jade Pendant and established her own sect on the treasure island, recruiting foreign disciples, she had not committed any other heinous acts beyond that. Moreover, years ago, when Liu Liangmei sought trouble with Lou Yijing on the treasure island, Lou Yijing had refrained from attacking even when she could have killed Liu Liangmei.
Now, only these two disciples remained in Zhai Yue Pavilion. It was impossible to say that there were no feelings between them; after all, they had grown up together and shared an unforgettable bond.
"Since Mr. Jiang won't interfere, that's even better. Senior sister, do you prefer a battle of wits or a battle of strength?" Lou Yijing laughed instantly. As long as Jiang Chen did not assist her senior sister, she felt no fear.
"Heh, Lou Yijing, don't you feel any guilt? Have you forgotten our master's dying words?" Liu Liangmei questioned solemnly.
Lou Yijing's expression immediately turned serious but soon morphed into a mocking smile. "Senior sister, our master has been gone for many years now. Besides, Zhai Yue Pavilion has long disappeared from Huaxia. What does it matter if we revive Zhai Yue Pavilion? I remember our master saying that we have grievances with many Hidden Sects. So it’s better to establish our own sect; I will continue the martial legacy of our school. I believe I have not betrayed our master," Lou Yijing asserted confidently.
"You really do speak eloquently, portraying yourself as noble. Our school has rules; the legacy of Zhai Yue Pavilion cannot be passed on to outsiders. Yet here you are, accepting disciples from all nations," Liu Liangmei pressed further.
"Today, for Mr. Jiang's sake, I'll explain this matter to you. The foreign disciples I accepted only learn some superficial martial arts from me; I have not imparted our true skills to them," Lou Yijing replied.
Deep down, Lou Yijing still harbored dissatisfaction towards her senior sister because she believed herself to be more capable than Liu Liangmei. Yet their master had passed the position of Zhai Yue Pavilion Master to Liu Liangmei instead of her. In Lou Yijing's view, such a title should belong to the strongest.
However, over the years, this discontent had faded significantly. They were all getting older now; arguing over past grievances seemed like a waste of energy.
"I can overlook your theft of the Shuangyue Jade Pendant and your acceptance of foreign disciples for now. But if you dissolve Xuan Yue Sect, we can consider our past grievances settled. You can face our master in peace when you go to the underworld," Liu Liangmei stated.
"Xuan Yue Sect is my life's work; how could I just disband it?" Lou Yijing firmly refused.
"It would be better if you did," Jiang Chen suddenly said calmly.
Lou Yijing looked at Jiang Chen in slight shock.
"Mr. Jiang, I'm afraid I cannot comply with that," Lou Yijing replied.
