Luna's baby voice echoed like a bomb in the opulent hall.
"I know your secret, Leonard's Concubine..." She elongated her words, her big, watery eyes sparkling with a mischievous glint, resembling a kitten that had just stolen a fish, leaving others guessing.
Leonard's smile instantly froze, his gaze piercing through Luna like a Blade Edge, as if he wanted to see right through her.
He never expected that this babbling infant would know his secret.
A chill crept up from his feet to his heart, and he felt an unprecedented sense of unease.
"Little girl, what do you know?" Leonard's voice was low and dangerous, like a lurking beast ready to pounce.
Luna giggled twice, extending her chubby little finger towards Leonard, and said in her baby voice, "I know you secretly sent many precious Magic Cleansing Pills to your Leonard's Concubine and helped her level up her magic skills so she could show off at the Magic Academy. Isn’t that right, Lord of the Fortress?"
"You... nonsense!" Leonard slammed his hand on the table, and the hall fell silent, leaving only the sound of his heavy breathing.
The teacups on the table shook violently, producing a crisp clattering sound as if they might shatter at any moment.
Aelia stood in front of Luna like an indomitable fortress, firmly shielding her from harm.
She stared coldly at Leonard without an ounce of fear.
Leonard looked at Aelia with a flicker of suspicion in his eyes.
He never anticipated that the usually gentle and obedient Aelia would stand against him for this infant.
A burning rage surged within his chest, nearly driving him to the brink of madness.
The atmosphere in the hall was tense, thick with an impending sense of conflict that felt suffocating.
The air was laced with the smell of gunpowder, as if an explosive confrontation could erupt at any moment.
Suddenly, his elder brother stood up, pointing a finger at Leonard's nose and exclaimed, “Leonard, do you have no conscience left? For the sake of a concubine, you disregard your own family! Luna needs the Cleansing Pill to survive, yet you turn a blind eye. Are you even human?!”
Leonard's face turned ashen as he struggled to suppress his fury. “I don’t! I just… I just want to give the best to the most talented! Luna is still young; she’ll have other opportunities…”
Luna interrupted him, her clear voice echoing in the hall. “The most talented? Are you sure you chose the right person? Don’t forget how you obtained your title as Lord! Without my maternal family's support, do you think you could stand here flaunting your power? You’re nothing but a Little One who rose through unscrupulous means!”
Her words struck Leonard like a sharp dagger, piercing deep into his heart.
His expression darkened further.
“Luna, I’ll ask you one last time: will you hand over the Cleansing Pill or not?” Though her voice was youthful, it carried an undeniable firmness.
“Absolutely not!” Leonard refused vehemently. “That Cleansing Pill is something I worked hard to obtain; I will never give it to a waste of space!” He abruptly stood up, pointing toward the door and shouted, “All of you get out! Leave the Glorious Demon Fortress; I don’t want to see you again!”
Leonard's roar reverberated throughout the hall, lingering in the air.
He resembled a wild beast that had lost its sanity, roaring madly as he vented his dissatisfaction and anger.
“You…” His elder brother trembled with rage, pointing at Leonard but unable to utter a single word.
Leonard sneered, "Don't forget, the Magic Castle is currently facing a huge crisis. I need to concentrate all resources to deal with it! You all are just dragging me down!"
Qin Si walked over, took Aelia's hand, and said softly, "My lady, let's go. The Lord is in a bad mood right now; it's better for us to rest in the side courtyard for a while."
Aelia cast a deep glance at Leonard, said nothing, and turned to follow Qin Si out of the hall.
Luna tightly grasped Aelia's hand, glancing back at Leonard with reluctance and anger in her eyes.
As they walked towards the side courtyard, Qin Si sighed and said to Luna, "Young Miss, you are truly brave. However, the Lord's situation is quite complicated right now; it would be best for you to avoid provoking him."
Luna nodded, somewhat understanding, and asked, "Aunt Cessy, is Second Brother's matter also related to the Lord?"
Qin Si paused for a moment, her expression turning grim. She lowered her voice and said, "The matter concerning the Second Young Master is a long story... In short, he was deceived by his closest friend and fell into the Magic Dilemma. Now... sigh..."
Luna's heart sank; she sensed that the internal affairs of the Glorious Demon Fortress were far more complicated than she had imagined.
Upon arriving at the side courtyard, Luna saw Brother San, Lucius, sitting there in a daze, his eyes vacant as if he had lost his soul.
"Brother San..." Luna called softly.
Lucius looked up, saw Luna, and forced out a faint smile. "Luna, you're here."
"Brother San, what's wrong?" Luna asked with concern.
Lucius sighed deeply, his eyes filled with desolation. "I... it seems my Magical Talent has... disappeared..."
Luna's heart sank suddenly.
She knew that Brother San's Magical Talent had not vanished; he had simply been misled and neglected his training.
And all of this was because...
"Brother San..." Luna's voice choked, "you..." She reached out her small hand, wanting to comfort Brother San, but she didn't know what to say.
Lucius looked at Luna, his eyes filled with helplessness and sorrow. "Luna, am I really useless..."
Luna shook her head, tears welling in her eyes. "No, Brother San, you..."
She suddenly stopped, her gaze falling on an object in Lucius's hand. "What is that?"
The night poured down like thick ink, enveloping the entire Glorious Demon Fortress in a hazy shroud.
The courtyard appeared especially desolate, with only a few dim magical lamps casting a faint yellow glow, barely dispelling the darkness.
Luna lay on the soft bed, her small body unable to relax.
Everything that had happened during the day replayed in her mind like a movie: Leonard's coldness, her brother's anger, Brother San's desolation—all felt like heavy stones pressing down on her heart, making it hard to breathe.
Suddenly, the door creaked open gently, and Aelia's figure appeared in the doorway.
She wore a plain nightgown, a hint of fatigue on her face, but her gaze remained gentle and resolute.
“Luna, are you still awake?” Aelia walked to the bedside and gently stroked Luna's hair.
Luna shook her head, sitting up and throwing herself into Aelia's embrace.
“Mother, I… I don’t want to stay here. I don’t want to see you suffer.”
Aelia held Luna tightly, softly comforting her, “Silly child, what are you saying? This is our home, and we will not leave. Besides, didn’t you say you wanted to change our destiny? Mother believes in you.”
Luna looked up, meeting Aelia's encouraging gaze, a surge of strength rising within her.
“Mother, I want to find out what happened with Brother San. He clearly has such great magical talent; why has he ended up like this?”
Aelia sighed. “Lucius… sigh, he is a pitiful child. His talent was too high; from a young age, he was hailed as the most promising heir of the Glorious Demon Fortress. But it was precisely because of this talent that he lost his way.”
“Lost his way?” Luna asked in confusion.
Aelia nodded.

Luna's heart sank suddenly.

"Mother, who is it? Who is scheming against Brother San?" Luna's voice trembled slightly, her small body shaking with anger.
Aelia shook her head.

Luna clenched her fists tightly, Ailya's White Nails digging deep into her palm.

Luna lifted her head, meeting Aelia's concerned gaze, filled with guilt.
"Mother, I... I understand. I will be careful."
Aelia sighed softly and held Luna tightly in her arms.
The night was deep, and Luna lay in bed, unable to fall asleep.
Brother San's lonely gaze pierced her heart like a sharp sword.
She vowed to uncover the truth and make those who framed Brother San pay the price.
She was determined to change her and her family's destiny, no matter the cost!
Early the next morning, Luna got up before dawn.
She decided to start with Qin Si; perhaps she could obtain some useful information from her.
"Aunt Cessy, do you have any plans today?" Luna ran to Qin Si's room and asked sweetly.
Qin Si was tidying up her room and smiled when she saw Luna.
"Young Miss, why are you up so early today? Is there something on your mind?"
Luna shook her head and pretended to be casual as she asked, "Nothing much, I just wanted to chat with you. Aunt Cessy, you've been working here for a long time, right? You must know a lot about the Magic Castle."
Qin Si's expression changed slightly.
"Young Miss, what... what do you want to know?" Qin Si's voice sounded a bit unnatural.
Luna keenly sensed Qin Si's unease, and her conviction grew stronger that Qin Si must know something.
“Aunt Cessy, I was just curious. By the way, I think I heard the Lord of the Fortress mention a name yesterday… it seemed like… it seemed like…”

“Aunt Cessy, where are you going?” Luna asked curiously.
Qin Si was startled and stammered, "I... I’m going out to buy something."
After saying that, she hurriedly left.
Luna watched Qin Si's retreating figure, filled with confusion.
Qin Si's unusual behavior made her more certain that she must know some important secret.
She decided to follow Qin Si to see where she was going and what she was up to.
Just as Luna was preparing to act, she suddenly heard a familiar voice.
"Luna, what are you doing here?"
Luna turned around and saw Aelia standing not far away, looking at her with a serious expression.
"Mother, I..." Luna hesitated, unsure whether to tell Aelia about her plan.
Aelia walked up to Luna and gently stroked her hair.
"Luna, promise Mother you won’t take any risks. Some things are not meant for us to touch lightly." Aelia's voice carried a hint of concern.
Luna looked up at Aelia's worried eyes, feeling a surge of guilt in her heart.
"Mother, I... I understand," Luna said softly.
Aelia sighed and held Luna tightly in her arms.
"Let's go back," she said.
Luna followed Aelia back to the room, but her heart was still filled with confusion and reluctance.
Just then, Aelia seemed to remember something, and her expression changed slightly.
"By the way, Luna, yesterday Qin Si mentioned to me that the Lord of the Fortress has been... has been outside recently..."
Aelia hesitated, her face showing signs of distress.
"Outside doing what?" Luna asked curiously.
