Qin Si staggered into the room, her face pale and tears streaming down her cheeks as she choked out, “Madam… Master… he has sealed off the Magic Castle with his men, saying he wants to… wants to…” She was unable to finish a single coherent sentence, overcome with sobs.
Aelia felt a wave of coldness surge from her feet to the top of her head, her body swaying dangerously as if she might fall.
Leonard, how could he be so heartless!
She clenched her fists tightly, Ailya's White Nails nearly digging into her flesh, yet she felt no pain at all.
Her heart felt as if it were being gripped tightly by an invisible hand, making it almost impossible to breathe.
Luna watched her mother in utter despair, the small figure seeming to bear an immense weight.
She knew that in the original story, Mother had been devastated by Leonard's betrayal and ultimately succumbed to despair.
She would not allow such a tragedy to unfold again!
Biting her lower lip, Luna’s gaze held a determination that belied her age.
“Mother,” Luna’s soft voice rang clear in the silent room, “don’t be afraid. I’m here.”
Aelia looked down at her daughter; what could this child still in swaddling clothes possibly do?
Yet Luna seemed to see through Mother’s thoughts. She reached out her tiny hand and gently stroked Aelia’s Luna, her tender voice carrying a reassuring strength: “Mother, trust me. I know what to do.”
Luna turned and, with small determined steps, walked resolutely toward her brother's room.
She remembered that in the original story, her brother had been left disabled by the Magic Backlash and had lived out his days in sorrow.
But she knew how to lift this curse.
As she pushed open her brother's door, a strong scent of medicine rushed to meet her.
The elder brother sat despondently by the window, his gaze vacant as if he had lost all hope in life.
“Elder Brother,” Luna called out cheerfully, her voice clear like a mountain spring, bringing a hint of vitality to the dreary room.
The elder brother slowly lifted his head, looking at Sister Luna at the door.
“Elder Brother, I know your leg can be healed,” Luna stated directly, her tone firm and unquestionable.
He was taken aback for a moment, then let out a self-deprecating laugh. “Luna, don’t comfort me. My leg…”
“I know of an ancient elven remedy,” Luna interrupted him. “It requires Moonlight Grass, Fountain of Life, and Phoenix Feather.”
What shocked him even more was how Luna, a child not yet three years old, could possibly know these things.
Ignoring his astonishment, Luna continued, “Moonlight Grass grows deep in Moonshadow Forest. The Fountain of Life is located in the elves’ Holy Land, and the Phoenix Feather can only be obtained during the Phoenix Nirvana.” She paused, her eyes sparkling with wisdom. “I know this is difficult, but it’s not impossible.”
Looking into Luna’s determined eyes, a flicker of hope ignited within him.
Perhaps there really is hope… He clenched his fists, his eyes shining with renewed light.
Leaving the elder brother's room, Luna hurriedly sought out Second Brother.
In the original story, Second Brother was deceived by a close friend and fell into a Magic Dilemma, ultimately losing all his magical abilities.
“Second Brother,” Luna entered the room to find him deep in thought over a Magic Circle Diagram, his brow furrowed.
“Luna?” Second Brother looked up.
“Second Brother, you’ve drawn your Magic Circle Diagram incorrectly.” Luna pointed to a Node on the diagram and said confidently, “Here, it should use an inverse Magic Rune.”
Second Brother was taken aback and carefully examined the spot she indicated, suddenly realizing his mistake.
He had previously been limited by his ingrained thought patterns, overlooking this crucial detail.
“Luna, thank you!” Second Brother exclaimed excitedly as he hugged Luna tightly.
Luna patted Second Brother's thin shoulders and comforted him, “Second Brother, true friends will never deceive you. You must believe that one day, you will find real friends and regain your magical abilities.”
Finally, Luna arrived at Brother San's room.
In the original story, Brother San had wasted his training due to the magical Talent Misguidance and ended up achieving nothing.
“Brother San,” Luna pushed open the door and saw Brother San lying in bed, fast asleep, with the room in disarray.
“Who is it?” Brother San groggily opened his eyes, sounding somewhat impatient.
“Brother San, talent is not for showing off; it is for hard work.” Luna said bluntly, her voice clear and strong. “You possess such powerful Magical Talent, yet you do not train properly. It’s truly a waste!”
Brother San was startled awake by Luna's words. He sat up and looked at his sister, realizing she was right; he had been too self-satisfied for too long.
“Luna, I…” Brother San lowered his head, unsure how to respond.
“Brother San, it’s not too late to start training hard from now on,” Luna encouraged. “I believe you can become a powerful Mage!”
As Luna left Brother San's room, her heart was filled with hope.
She believed that as long as the three brothers worked together, they would surely be able to help Mother through this difficult time.
When she returned to Mother's room, she found it empty… A tightness gripped her heart as an ominous premonition washed over her.
Suddenly, she heard a faint sobbing sound coming from deep within the corridor… “Mother?” Luna called softly as she walked toward the sound…
Luna’s small figure disappeared at the end of the corridor, leaving Qin Si alone in the empty room, his mind in turmoil.
The lady's pain was something she could deeply empathize with; the betrayal of her husband pierced her heart like a sharp knife, shattering the seemingly calm surface of the Magic Castle.
Qin Si tightly clutched the Handkerchief, her Tears blurring her vision.
How she wished to share the burden of pain with the lady, but what could she possibly do?
Aelia hid in the highest tower of the Magic Castle, allowing the cold wind to tousle her long hair.
From here, she could overlook the entire Glorious Demon Fortress. Once, this had been her and Leonard's shared home, filled with sweet memories.
Now, however, it had become a cage that imprisoned her.
Leonard, why must you treat me this way?
Is it true that our years of love cannot compare to a mere Concubine?
She pressed her hand against her chest in anguish, Tears flowing uncontrollably.
Suddenly, a soft voice called out from behind her: "Mother, please don't cry."
Aelia turned around to see Luna standing at the door. The small figure appeared especially fragile in the dimly lit tower but radiated a firm strength.
"Luna..." Aelia choked back tears as she embraced her daughter, as if grasping a lifeline.
Luna gently patted her mother's back and comforted her softly: "Mother, I know you're very sad, but we cannot be defeated like this. We still have Big Brother, Second Brother, Brother San, and Qin Si. And me."
Aelia lifted her head to meet her daughter's clear eyes, a flicker of hope igniting within her.
Luna, this child not yet three years old, was somehow stronger than she was.
"Luna, do you have any ideas?" Aelia asked, her tone laced with anticipation.
Luna's lips curled into a confident smile. "Mother, Leonard thinks he has everything under control, but he overlooks the most important point—human hearts. The guards and servants of the Magic Castle have watched us grow up; they are loyal to the Glorious Demon Fortress, not to Leonard."
Aelia's eyes brightened as Luna's words awakened her realization.
Indeed, while Leonard controlled the guards of the Magic Castle, he could not control their hearts.
"Luna, you are so clever!" Aelia exclaimed, embracing her daughter tightly, a long-lost smile gracing her face.
Meanwhile, Leonard was strutting around his study, filled with self-satisfaction.
He believed everything was under his control; Aelia and her three sons would soon become his prisoners.
He had even begun to fantasize about bringing his Concubine and illegitimate child into the Magic Castle as the new masters.
"Hmph, Aelia, you will never win against me!" Leonard muttered to himself, a sinister grin spreading across his face.
He was completely unaware that danger was closing in step by step.
Lucius, the Third Young Master of the Glorious Demon Fortress and Leonard's youngest son, was also Luna's half-brother.
He had always been dissatisfied with his father's actions but dared not rebel against his father's authority.
Today, he unintentionally overheard Luna and Aelia's conversation and felt a surge of admiration for Luna.
He never expected that this young sister could be so clever and devise such a brilliant plan.
Finding Luna, he eagerly offered his assistance. "Luna, I want to help Mother and my brothers too."
Luna looked at the youthful boy before her.
With Lucius joining their cause, their plan became even more refined.
Under Luna's command, Aelia began secretly contacting the guards and servants of the Magic Castle, exposing Leonard's crimes to the public.
At the same time, Luna utilized her Magical Talent to help her elder brother, Second Brother, and Brother San regain their strength.
The situation at the Glorious Demon Fortress began to change; a hidden current was stirring, and everyone was anticipating the restoration of the Magic Castle's former glory.
As night fell, the Magic Castle was enveloped in a serene silence.
However, this was merely the calm before the storm.
Luna stood atop the tower, gazing into the distance, her eyes shimmering with wisdom.
"Everything is just beginning..." she whispered.
Suddenly, a shadow flashed past her from behind. "Who?"
Just as the Glorious Demon Fortress united in preparation for dawn, a strange Magical Fluctuation quietly descended.
Luna keenly sensed an unusual energy permeating the air—cold and malevolent, it clashed with the inherent magical aura of the Magic Castle.
"This is bad; a powerful dark Mage is invading!" Luna's expression changed dramatically as she exclaimed.
She immediately activated her Great Mage perception, attempting to capture the dark Mage's trace; however, this power flickered like a ghost, elusive and difficult to grasp.
Next, blinding Blood Red lights illuminated various parts of the Magic Castle, and countless demonic whispers echoed in people's ears, sending chills down their spines and instilling a sense of dread.
Some guards and servants with wavering minds began to appear dazed, their eyes flickering with a crimson glow as if they were under the control of Dark Magic.
"It's Dark Sacrifice! Someone is trying to use the Magic Castle's energy to summon evil beings!" her elder brother said gravely. Leaning on his magic staff, he struggled to maintain the surrounding Magic Barrier in an effort to halt the spread of dark forces.
Second Brother also sprang into action; his fingers danced as Magic Runes flickered around him, attempting to repair the damaged Magic Circle.
However, the erosion of Dark Magic was far beyond their imagination, and the once-solid Magic Barrier began to show cracks.
"We must stop them!" Luna gritted her teeth, her small frame bursting with astonishing energy.
She summoned the Magic Power within her, trying to resist the dark force. However, this power was overwhelmingly strong, and she felt waves of dizziness, as if she were about to be consumed by the darkness.
At that moment, Brother San suddenly let out a painful scream. His body began to tremble uncontrollably, black veins spreading across his skin.
"I... I can't control myself! Quickly... stop me!" Brother San's voice became hoarse and distorted as his body swelled, as if he were about to transform into a monster.
The situation became extremely critical, and the Glorious Demon Fortress was once again thrown into chaos, despair etched on everyone's faces.
Could it be that all their previous efforts would go to waste?
Would the Magic Castle ultimately face destruction?
"Mother, be careful..." Before Luna could finish her sentence, a shadow darted toward Aelia with lightning speed. In that moment of crisis, Luna threw herself onto Aelia, knocking her to the ground.
