"Brother San, there may be something amiss..." Luna suddenly lifted her head, her gaze deep and penetrating, as if she could see through everything.
The air seemed to freeze, and all eyes were focused on the infant girl still in her swaddling clothes.
Aelia tightened her grip around Luna, aware that her daughter was extraordinary, but at that moment, confusion filled her heart.
"Luna, what have you discovered?" Aelia's voice was soft, as if afraid to disturb something delicate.
Instead of answering directly, Luna turned to look at her older brother, Second Brother, and Brother San standing nearby. Her childish voice carried an undeniable firmness: "Three Brothers, do you believe in Luna?"
The three tall men exchanged glances, and finally, the eldest brother nodded first. He walked over to Aelia and gently stroked Luna's head, his eyes filled with affection. "Luna, of course we believe you. Please tell us what has happened."
With the support of her brothers, a glint of mischief flashed in Luna's eyes. She extended her chubby little hand and pointed at Leonard, who stood aside with a fluctuating expression. She spoke each word clearly: "Daddy... he has deceived Mommy!"
"Luna, don't speak nonsense!" Leonard's face changed dramatically as he snapped back, his voice laced with a barely perceptible panic.
Aelia's heart sank. She fixed her gaze on Leonard, trying to read something in his eyes, but he avoided her stare.
"I am not speaking nonsense!" Luna fearlessly met Leonard's gaze, her clear eyes filled with determination. "Daddy has another woman outside!"
"Impossible!" Aelia gasped in disbelief. She could not accept what she had heard. Leonard was her husband, the Lord of the Glorious Demon Fortress; how could he betray her?
"Mommy, it's true." Luna's voice was soft yet sharp as a dagger that pierced Aelia's heart. "That woman... she lives just outside Magic Castle. Daddy often goes to see her!"
"That's utter nonsense! Aelia, don't believe her!" Leonard urgently protested. He knew Luna possessed unusual abilities but never expected she would say such things.
Aelia did not pay attention to Leonard; she simply gazed at Luna.
"Luna, how did you know?" Aelia's voice trembled as she desperately sought the truth.
Luna smiled faintly.
Luna's words struck Aelia like a heavy hammer, sending her into a dizzying spiral as if the entire world was spinning around her.
"No... it can't be! This is impossible!" Aelia shook her head, unwilling to accept the reality.
"Aelia, let me explain. It's not what you think!" Leonard tried to grasp Aelia's hand, but she ruthlessly pulled away.
"Explain? What is there to explain?" Aelia's voice was filled with anger and disappointment. "Leonard, I always thought you were an upright man. I believed our relationship was unbreakable, but now it seems everything was just a joke!"
"Aelia, I..." Leonard wanted to say more, but Aelia interrupted him sharply.
"Enough! I don't want to hear your excuses anymore!" Tears filled Aelia's eyes, yet her tone was resolute. "Leonard, tell me, is what Luna said true? Have you really been with another woman?"
Leonard fell silent, unable to meet Aelia's gaze.
"I..." Leonard hesitated for a moment before finally lowering his head and speaking in a low voice, "Yes, I... I admit it."
"Ah..." Aelia let out a piercing cry, feeling as if her heart had been torn apart, the pain unbearable.
"Leonard, how could you betray me like this?" Aelia's voice was filled with despair and fury. "After all these years of sacrifice for you, raising our children and exhausting myself for the prosperity of Magic Castle, and this is how you repay me!"
Leonard painfully closed his eyes, knowing he had wronged Aelia, but he could not control his desires.
“Aelia, I know I’ve hurt you, but I—”
“Don’t say another word!” Aelia interrupted, waving her hand to silence Leonard. “From today on, I don’t want to see you again. Get out!”
“Aelia, please listen to me. It’s not what you think; I was with her—”
“Leave!” Aelia shouted again, her voice filled with anger and despair.
Leonard sighed helplessly. He knew he could not salvage the situation. He cast one last deep glance at Aelia before turning and leaving the room.
As Leonard departed, the atmosphere in the room grew even more oppressive, thick with tension as if a great battle could erupt at any moment.
Eldest Brother, Second Brother, and Brother San stood in silence beside Aelia, supporting her in their own way.
“Mother…” Luna reached out her small hand and gently touched Aelia’s arm, her tender voice filled with concern.
Aelia looked down at her daughter in her arms, overwhelmed with guilt and gratitude.
“Luna, thank you,” Aelia said, her voice choked with emotion.
“Mother, don’t be sad,” Luna said softly.
“I’m fine,” Aelia forced a smile.
“Qin Si, come here,” Aelia called to the maid standing nearby.
Qin Si hurried over, her heart filled with worry as she looked at Aelia's pale face. "Madam, are you alright?"
"I'm fine," Aelia shook her head, taking a deep breath to steady herself. "Qin Si, please help me prepare some things. I want... I want to divorce Leonard!"
"Madam, you..." Qin Si stared at Aelia in shock, unable to believe that she would make such a decision.
"Don't say anything. Just do as I say," Aelia's tone was unusually firm.
"Yes, Madam." Qin Si dared not defy Aelia's command and quickly retreated to begin preparing for the divorce.
Aelia watched Qin Si's departing figure, her heart filled with gratitude.
The room fell silent once more, with only Aelia's soft sobs echoing in the air.
"Mother, don't cry," Luna comforted again, reaching out her small hand to gently wipe the tears from Aelia's face.
Aelia embraced Luna, feeling warmth fill her heart.
Just then, Lucius suddenly walked in. He surveyed the chaotic scene in the room.
"Mother, I..." he hesitated, as if there was something he wanted to say.
Aelia looked up at her son.
"Lucius, just say what you need to," Aelia's voice was gentle yet encouraging.
Lucius took a deep breath and slowly said, "Mother, Father... he..." He paused, seemingly unsure of how to continue.
"Just say what you want to say, no need to hold back," Aelia encouraged.
Lucius nodded, gathering his courage. "Mother, I think... this matter might not be as simple as it seems..."
He hesitated.
Aelia looked at Lucius in confusion, about to ask what had happened when she suddenly noticed his gaze drifting past her, towards the doorway of the room.
She instinctively turned her head and saw...
Aelia turned in puzzlement, following Lucius's terrified gaze—
At the entrance stood a figure slowly emerging, clad in a magnificent Magic Robe, their face obscured in shadow, making it hard to discern their features.
However, the powerful Magical Fluctuation emanating from them and the suffocating sense of pressure unmistakably indicated that the visitor was extraordinary.
"Who goes there?" Aelia demanded sharply, suppressing her unease. Instinctively, she tightened her hold on Luna, shielding her in front of her.
Lucius appeared to have seen something incredibly terrifying; his body trembled uncontrollably. He opened his mouth but couldn't produce any sound, only pointing at the figure in the doorway.
"Lucius, what's wrong with you?" Aelia sensed Lucius's distress and grew more anxious. She tried to comfort her son, but Lucius seemed frozen in fear, unresponsive.
The figure at the entrance finally moved. They slowly lifted their head, revealing a sharply defined face—handsome yet cold. However, their eyes were hollow and icy, devoid of any emotion.
“Father?” Lucius finally spoke, his voice hoarse and trembling, filled with disbelief.
Aelia's heart skipped a beat at the sound. She looked incredulously at the figure in the doorway, and it was none other than Leonard!
However, the Leonard before her was completely different from the husband she remembered; he seemed like a stranger, cold and distant.
“Leonard, how… how could you be here?” Aelia asked, her voice shaking, her heart filled with confusion and unease.
Leonard did not respond. He merely regarded Aelia with a frigid gaze, as if she were an unfamiliar person.
“I have returned,” Leonard finally spoke, his voice deep and hoarse, exuding authority and an oppressive aura.
“What… what do you want?” Aelia forced herself to suppress her fear as she asked.
“I only wish to reclaim what is rightfully mine,” Leonard replied coldly.
“What do you mean by ‘what belongs to you’?” Aelia asked in confusion.
“The Glorious Demon Fortress, and you,” Leonard's gaze fell upon Aelia, filled with possessiveness.
Aelia's heart sank at his words. She finally understood Leonard's intentions; he wanted to take back the Glorious Demon Fortress and regain control over her.
“Leonard, you will not succeed!” Aelia declared sharply, determined not to let Leonard prevail.
“Is that so? Then let’s see you try,” Leonard smirked coldly. Suddenly, a powerful magical fluctuation erupted from him, causing the entire room to tremble violently.
“No!” Aelia's heart sank as she realized Leonard was about to make a move. She quickly summoned her Magic Power, preparing to confront him.
At that moment, Lucius suddenly dashed in front of Leonard, blocking his path.
“Father, don’t do this!” Lucius shouted, trying to stop Leonard.
“Get out of the way!” Leonard snapped coldly, waving his hand and sending Lucius flying.
Lucius hit the ground hard with a thud, but he ignored the pain and scrambled back to his feet, positioning himself in front of Leonard once more.
“Father, please don’t! We can talk this out,” Lucius pleaded desperately, not wanting to see his parents turn against each other.
Leonard looked at Lucius and said coldly, “Lucius, step aside. This is between me and your Mother; it has nothing to do with you.”
“No, it does!” Lucius shook his head firmly. “You are both my parents. I can’t just stand by and watch you hurt each other.”
“You…” Leonard was momentarily speechless; he hadn’t expected Lucius to be so persistent.
“Father, I know you harbor Resentment. I understand you have grievances against Mother, but please calm down and think about this. Is it really worth it?” Lucius continued to reason with him, hoping to awaken the conscience within Leonard.
Leonard fell silent, his expression shifting between anger and uncertainty as he seemed to be engaged in a fierce internal struggle.
Aelia watched Lucius with a heart full of emotion; she never expected that in such a critical moment, it would be her son standing up for her.
“Thank you, Lucius,” Aelia said softly, her heart filled with gratitude.
Lucius turned his head and smiled gently at Aelia, signaling her not to worry.
“Father, Mother has always loved you. She has sacrificed so much for this family; you cannot treat her like this,” Lucius continued to persuade.
Leonard felt a stir in his heart as he recalled the moments spent with Aelia, remembering everything she had done for their family. A wave of guilt washed over him.
“Enough!” Leonard suddenly shouted, interrupting Lucius.
“I don’t want to hear any more of this. I have made my decision, and no one can change it,” Leonard said coldly, his eyes once again filled with indifference.
“Father…” Lucius wanted to say more but was cut off by Leonard.
“Lucius, I’ll say this one last time: step aside!” Leonard barked, a powerful Magical Fluctuation erupting from him once more.
Lucius looked at Leonard, knowing he could no longer persuade him. His heart was heavy with disappointment and helplessness.
“Father, do you really want to do this? Are you really willing to destroy our family for these things?” Lucius's voice was filled with sorrow.
Leonard did not respond; he merely regarded Lucius with a cold gaze, as if looking at a stranger.
“Alright, I understand,” Lucius sighed and slowly stepped aside.
Seeing this, Leonard curled his lips into a cold smile. He ignored Lucius and walked straight toward Aelia.
“Aelia, I give you one last chance. Submit to me, or don't blame me for being ruthless,” Leonard said coldly.
Aelia looked at Leonard, her heart filled with anger and disappointment. She never expected that the man she once loved would turn into this.
“Leonard, give up. I will never yield to you,” Aelia replied firmly.
“Is that so? Then don’t blame me for being heartless,” Leonard sneered, a more powerful Magical Fluctuation erupting from him, causing the entire room to shake violently.
At that critical moment, Luna, who had been silent until now, suddenly moved.
“Daddy, no!”
Luna's voice was tender and clear, echoing through the room like a thunderclap.
Everyone was drawn to Luna's voice, including Leonard.
He slowly turned his head to look at her.
“Luna, you…” Leonard's voice trembled as if he had seen something unbelievable.
Ignoring Leonard, Luna gazed at him with deep sorrow and slowly extended her small hand.
“Daddy, don’t make the wrong choice again.”
Luna's voice was filled with pleading. Leonard looked at her, into her clear and sorrowful eyes, and his heart jolted as if something within him had been touched.
“Luna…” Leonard murmured, his voice barely above a whisper.
At that moment, Luna suddenly broke into a radiant smile, her expression as warm and bright as the sun.
“Father, let’s go home,” Luna said softly.
Leonard gazed at Luna’s smile, at her eyes filled with anticipation, and a strong desire surged within him.
He longed to return to the past, to that home filled with warmth and happiness.
But he could no longer go back.
He had embarked on an irreversible path; there was no turning back for him.
“Luna, I’m sorry,” Leonard murmured again, his heart heavy.
Just then, a strange voice echoed through the room.
“It seems you have made the wrong choice.”
As the voice resonated, a figure slowly emerged behind Leonard.
Aelia recognized the person and gasped, “It’s you!”
The newcomer flashed a wicked smile and said, “Long time no see, Aelia.”
He patted Leonard's thin shoulders and said, "Let's do this, Leonard. Don't hesitate any longer."
Leonard looked up at Aelia.
"Leonard, you..." Aelia's words were cut off by Leonard.
"I'm sorry, Aelia."
With that, Leonard slowly raised his wand, In Hand.
