"Alright, alright, let's just go for a walk then. Please be quiet, old man." I was really worn out by Shuai Dong's nagging, so I got up from the bed and said, "Team members, how about we accompany these two kids to have some fun?" Shuai Dong grinned and said, "Hehe, that's more like it, Pang Hao, let's go out and play!" 0

We stepped out of the hotel and hailed a taxi. The five of us squeezed into one taxi. The driver enthusiastically asked us, "Where are you kids headed?" His thick Beijing accent made it clear he was from old Beijing. "Uncle, we just arrived in Beijing and don't know where to go. Can you recommend something for us?" Shuai Dong replied to the driver. The driver chuckled and said, "Well, you've come to the right person. I'm very familiar with this place..." As he drove, the driver started joking with us; it turns out that taxi drivers in Beijing are quite talkative. 0

The driver first dropped us off at Wangfujing. The ancient buildings in Beijing are well-preserved. After wandering around for a bit, Shuai Dong suddenly remembered something: "Hey! Since we're here, we must go see the Forbidden City and Tiananmen!" So we got back in the car and headed towards the Forbidden City. Upon arrival, I suddenly felt a sense of time travel, as if we had stepped into the Qing Dynasty during the Kangxi era within the majestic Forbidden City. It must have been just like this when Luo Qingchuan first traveled back in time! 0

After touring the Forbidden City, it was already dark. We returned to the hotel exhausted. Shuai Dong happily went next door with Pang Hao; it seemed he had a great time. I lay on the bed groaning when I suddenly heard A Fei say, "I wonder which strong opponents we'll face in tomorrow's draw..." Jiang Lingfeng replied, "No matter which champion from the other seven regions we encounter, it's going to be a tough challenge, A Fei. Let's just take it as it comes." I sat up and said, "Alright, alright! Winning the city championship has already created a 'High School Miracle' for us. From now on, every match we win is a bonus!" A Fei and Jiang Lingfeng looked at me and then laughed. However... even though I sounded relaxed, my heart was already yearning for the North China Champion title. 0

Early the next morning, the person in charge knocked on our door with breakfast. After quickly getting dressed and washing up, we followed him outside. He indicated that Shuai Dong and Pang Hao couldn't go today because only participating team members were allowed entry. Shuai Dong and Pang Hao walked back to their room dejectedly. "Hang in there for now; wait for us to return victorious!" 0

When we arrived at Kuda Plaza Gymnasium, we found it to be magnificent and grand! Competing here was truly an experience. Once inside, we noticed several teams already present along with many spectators. Looking around, I realized how spacious it was—comparable to ba's venue but much larger than our school's basketball gymnasium with plenty of seating. 0

After a while, all teams had gathered. I saw them all wearing custom jerseys from Boiling Sports with their team names printed on their chests. The emcee came over with a microphone and stood on a platform set up beside the court: "Welcome everyone to our Boiling Sports National Street Basketball Championship North China Region Finals! After several rounds of selection in our North China Region events, we've narrowed down from over five hundred participating teams to these eight champion teams! Therefore, being crowned North China Champion means being the best of the best! Now let's give a warm round of applause for our eight champion teams: first up is Beijing Champion P team; next is Tianjin Champion Stellar Team; Shijiazhuang Champion Light Speed Team; Cangzhou Champion Dream Chasers Team; Taiyuan Champion Wuzun Team; Datong Champion Snow Wolf Team; Hohhot Champion Horsemen Team; and Baotou Champion Blade Team! Our finals will consist of three rounds: quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals for first and second place! Each team will determine their matchups through a draw..." The emcee spoke passionately while more and more spectators entered. 0

After some time, the draw ceremony finally began with an invitation for the Deputy Director of Beijing Sports Bureau to conduct it. 0

"First up is the group draw; please welcome Director Luo from Beijing Sports Bureau to draw for us." Director Luo smiled as he pulled a ball from the box and handed it to the emcee. After opening it, the emcee announced: "Alright! The first team in Group A has been determined: it's Snow Wolf Team!" Then Director Luo drew three more balls for Group A: P team, Blade Team, and Stellar Team—meaning we were grouped with Horsemen Team, Light Speed Team, and Wuzun Team in Group B. "The quarterfinals will be conducted in a single round-robin format where the top two teams will advance..." The emcee continued speaking while I started considering our group matches below. After a morning filled with opening ceremonies, our person in charge informed us that tomorrow morning's opening match would be P against Snow Wolf—great! Tomorrow we'll see what these two teams are made of. 0

Back at the hotel after returning from the event, A Fei and Jiang Lingfeng sat on the bed staring blankly. "Hey hey hey! What's wrong with you guys?" I asked them. "Nothing much; I'm just thinking about today's draw results," Jiang Lingfeng replied. Suddenly the room door swung open as Shuai Dong walked in from outside. "A Fei! Why didn't you knock before coming in?" I remembered A Fei was indeed the last one to enter. "What do you mean? Are you saying you don't want me here?" Shuai Dong frowned. I quickly smiled and said, "Of course not! Dong Ge don't misunderstand; come sit down." I pushed him onto the bed. "Hmph! That's more like it! So how did today's draw turn out?" Shuai Dong crossed his legs casually. "Oh well... it's about what you'd expect; after all, all seven other teams are champions from various provinces in North China—definitely no easy opponents," I said as I sat beside him dejectedly. Indeed, no matter who we faced would be tough competition; today I secretly observed other teams on the court and realized that we seemed to be the youngest among all city champions based on my visual assessment. 0
