We have started the new round of Team elections, which will last for two months. This time, the second-year students who didn't make it last time will need to work hard. A Fei and I are already the absolute backbone of Team, so the chances of being cut are slim. This year, there are only two first-year rookies, Li Kanglin and Tu Lei. Both of them have good physical qualities, and since our team's key players, Bing Ge and Zhongqi Senior, will graduate next year, we should be nurturing new talent. Therefore, the chances of them staying on the team are quite high. 0

During training, I whimsically asked these two juniors, “Kang Lin, Tu Lei, can you both dunk?” Li Kanglin nodded firmly, while Tu Lei scratched his head and hesitated, saying, “Jack, actually I…” His hesitation drove me crazy, so I quickly comforted him, saying, “It's okay, just say it. I promise I won't laugh at you.” Only then did Tu Lei confidently reveal, “Jack, actually I had a nickname in Junior High School, called Tu Chuanfeng…” Wow! It turns out this junior is quite low-key and really humorous. 0

“Then show us a dunk for Jack!” I suddenly became interested. They both nodded, and at that moment, the other training team members gathered around. First, Li Kanglin ran to the three-point line and then quickly drove to the basket for a powerful one-handed dunk. When Teacher Qiu arrived and saw this, he led the applause. From Li Kanglin's dunk, I could see the shadow of a future main Center for Team. Next up was Tu Lei. He jogged slowly to the three-point line with a silly smile but suddenly became serious as he dashed toward the basket. He jumped high in the air and executed a 180-degree turn to dunk the ball backward into the hoop. 0

I was completely stunned; it seems that Tu Chuanfeng truly lives up to his name! “Tu Lei, you are the first first-year rookie I've seen who can do a reverse dunk.” Bing Ge walked over and said. Tu Lei smiled and replied, “Hehe, I don’t know what happens; whenever I touch a basketball, I get really excited.” This is what they call explosive power. After two months of rigorous selection, our final roster of twelve for Team was announced. Overall, it was slightly adjusted from last season's City High League lineup. We added two new second-year students: Liu Xiao from Class Two and Wei Weiwei from Class Six. Thus, the new roster for Team is: third-year players Bing Ge, Zhongqi Senior, Qiu Junze, Zhang Jun, and Wu Zhi Kai. Second-year players include me, A Fei, Ouyang, Liu Xiao, and Wei Weiwei. First-year players are Li Kanglin and Tu Lei. 0

With only one week left until the new season of the City High League, we are all training vigorously. Every afternoon after school, we practice for an extra hour until we return home exhausted and unwilling to move. Tomorrow there will be a warm-up match against Qingzhu High School. Last year in the group stage of the City High League, we faced Qingzhu twice and won both times. Recently, Qingzhu High School just finished their preliminary round for this year's league but unfortunately got eliminated and missed out on this event. Therefore, this match should be an easy practice game. 0

It’s Saturday, our game day. On our way to school, I discussed with A Fei about the BA league; surprisingly, the Beijing Jinyu team defeated the strong Guangdong Dongguan Bank team to win the championship! It's worth noting that this year Guangdong brought in strong reinforcements like Singleton and “Black Bean” Brooks. Marbury should have been named MVP of the finals; however, since our rules in the Chinese Basketball Association state that MVP candidates must be domestic players only—oh well! 0

Before I knew it, we arrived at school. Since it's a weekend, the school was empty. When we got to the gymnasium, we found that Qingzhu High School had already arrived early—more proactive than our home team! Soon after, as the game was about to start, our teammate Tu Lei still hadn’t shown up; he really has no sense of time! Just as we were about to take the court for our match, he rushed in with his bag on his back. “Team members! I'm so sorry! My house is quite far away; I got stuck in traffic on my way here. But once I got off the bus, I ran over here so there's no need for me to warm up—I’m ready to fight anytime!” 0

Haha! This Tu Chuanfeng is really interesting; he even mimicked a line from Rukawa Kaede! “Alright! Get back in line!” shouted Teacher Qiu, as a sheepish-looking Tu Lei returned to us. The match officially began with our starting lineup: Zhongqi Senior (Point Guard), me (Shooting Guard), A Fei (Forward), Li Kanglin (Power Forward), and Bing Ge (Center). Once on court, when Li Kanglin jumped for tip-off against their forward and won it cleanly, he passed it to our frontcourt where he received a high lob from Zhongqi Senior. With that pass caught perfectly by him, he executed a powerful dunk—what a promising future ahead! 0

After their inbound pass, when their Point Guard brought it across half-court and passed it directly to their forward, I swiftly dashed over for a steal and went straight down court for an easy layup score. Our strong start signaled that we were headed for victory; indeed by the end of the first quarter we led by 11 points. 0

As the second quarter began,Teacher Qiu substituted out Zhongqi Senior, bringing in Ouyang instead while shifting me to point guard and moving Ouyang to shooting guard. He also took out A Fei, bringing in Tu Lei. Then,Qiu Junze played power forward while  Li Kanglin took center position—a mismatch strategy likely aimed at developing new talent. After inbounding the ball,I organized our offense while  Tu Lei called for it; I quickly passed it to him as he charged towards the basket with an impressive gliding dunk! The fearless spirit of youth shines through—looks like we have another fierce player! 0

In this game where both  Zhongqi Senior and  Bing Ge were resting on bench,we had ample opportunity to shine. After receiving an inbound pass,I jumped from beyond three-point range for a successful shot before blocking their Point Guard’s attempt right above him!  Meanwhile,Tu Chuanfeng’s performance was commendable too—he scored an impressive two plus one from mid-range followed by another strong drive down low… We ultimately achieved an overwhelming victory over  Qingzhu High School, winning 88-70! I scored a team-high 25 points along with 7 assists and steals plus one block;  a Fei scored second highest with 18 points along with 5 rebounds & assists; while  Tu Lei scored 1 point &  Li Kanglin scored 9 points respectively—the warm-up practice ended successfully! 0
