Luna's large, sparkling eyes rolled around, and her small face was filled with a seriousness that belied her age.
She reached out her chubby little hand and gently tugged at Aelia's skirt, the motion soft yet firm, as if silently conveying some important message.
"Mother..." Luna's voice was tender yet clear, carrying a hint of undeniable determination. "Perhaps... we can try a different approach..."
Upon hearing this, Aelia, who had been dim and downcast, lowered her head to look closely at Luna, as if trying to see through everything in those clear eyes.
She knew that her daughter, though still young, possessed wisdom and insight beyond her years.
"Luna, what do you have in mind?" Aelia's voice was gentle and filled with anticipation; she desperately wanted to grasp this lifeline.
Luna did not answer immediately. She glanced around to ensure that only herself, Aelia, her elder brother, Second Brother, Brother San, and Qin Si were present before lowering her voice to say, "Mother, I know some... things about the future."
As soon as those words left her lips, the atmosphere in the room instantly froze.
Aelia, her elder brother, Second Brother, Brother San, and Qin Si all widened their eyes in disbelief as they looked at Luna.
They could hardly imagine that a girl who had just turned one year old would utter such astonishing words.
"Luna, what are you talking about?" The elder brother's voice trembled slightly. Disabled by Magic Backlash and confined to bed for years, he had long lost hope for the future. Yet Luna's words reignited a flicker of Dark Purple Flame within his heart.
"Luna, you..." Qin Si was so shocked that she couldn't find her voice. Having followed Aelia for many years and cared deeply for Luna, she had never imagined that this little infant could be so mysterious.
Ignoring the reactions of those around her, Luna took a deep breath and began to slowly recount what she knew about the "future."
"Father... Leonard... he betrayed Mother. He has another woman outside and even had a child." Though Luna's voice was soft, it detonated like a heavy bomb in the room.
Aelia's complexion turned pale instantly, tears welling up in her eyes.
Though she had already been deeply disappointed in Leonard, hearing the truth from Luna's lips felt like a knife twisting in her heart.
“Luna, how… how did you know?” Aelia's voice trembled, unable to believe that her husband could be so cruel.
“I also know… that Brother’s Magic Backlash was actually a deliberate setup,” Luna continued. “My Brother San became obsessed with his Magical Talent, neglecting his training, and ultimately achieved nothing because he was misled.”
Luna's words came out in rapid succession, shocking everyone to the core.
They had thought their misfortunes were mere coincidences, but now it seemed that someone had been pulling the strings behind the scenes.
“Luna, is what you’re saying true?” Second Brother's voice shook; he had always been troubled by being deceived by his closest friend. If this was indeed a conspiracy, he would seek vengeance no matter what.
“Luna, how do you know all this?” Brother San couldn't help but ask. He had always taken pride in his talent, but if it turned out to be a lie, wouldn’t that mean his life was ruined?
Luna looked at everyone, sensing that they were starting to believe her.
Taking a deep breath, she continued, “I know all this because… I have experienced it myself.”
As soon as those words left her lips, the room fell silent once more.
Everyone exchanged glances, unsure of what Luna meant.
“Luna, are you… are you joking?” Qin Si asked cautiously, struggling to comprehend Luna’s words.
Luna shook her head and said earnestly, “I’m not joking. I used to be… a very powerful Mage, but I died and then… became the Luna you see now.”
This statement was so unbelievable that no one knew how to respond.
They looked at Luna in disbelief.
“Luna, are you saying that you are a reincarnated Mage?” Aelia's voice quivered. Although she had received magical education, she found it hard to accept the concept of reincarnation.
Luna nodded firmly and said, “Yes. I know everything about the future; I know Leonard’s schemes. I know the predicaments of Brother, Second Brother, and Brother San. I know the future direction of Magic Castle.”
“So, what we need to do now is change everything,” Luna said, her voice filled with determination and hope. “We will make Leonard pay the price, help our elder brother regain his magic, free Second Brother from his predicament, and help Brother San resume his training.”
“We must protect our family and safeguard our Magic Castle!” Luna's voice rang out, as if declaring their resolve.
Aelia looked at Luna. She had felt despair about the future, but Luna's presence reignited her hope.
“You're right, Luna. We can't just sit back and wait; we must rise up and fight back!” Aelia's voice was powerful. “Qin Si, go gather evidence against Leonard. I want to ruin him!”
“Yes, my lady!” Qin Si replied immediately, her loyalty unwavering as she pledged to do everything in her power to assist Aelia.
“Elder Brother, Second Brother, Brother San, you all need to pull yourselves together. We will face these challenges together and overcome our enemies!” Aelia looked at her sons.
“Mother, don’t worry. We will give it our all!” Elder Brother, Second Brother, and Brother San said in unison. They were completely ignited by Luna's words and were determined to change their Destiny.
Luna gazed at everyone, her heart filled with hope.
She knew that as long as they stood united, they could overcome any difficulty and protect their family and the Magic Castle.
“Mother, what should we do next?” Luna asked Aelia.
Aelia took a deep breath, her gaze sharpening with resolve.
She looked at Luna and slowly said, “Next, we will… turn the tables on him.”
“Turn the tables?” Luna looked at Aelia in confusion, not understanding what she meant.
Aelia smiled slightly. “Leonard thinks he can deceive us without consequence, but he doesn’t know that we have already uncovered all his secrets.”
“We will exploit his arrogance and greed, leading him step by step into the trap we’ve set.” Aelia’s voice was filled with confidence. “We will make him… pay the price he deserves!”
Just then, there was a sudden knock on the door of the room.
"Madam, Third Young Master Lucius requests an audience," came the voice of the Knight from outside the door.
Aelia furrowed her brow slightly, uncertain of what Lucius wanted.
"Let him in," Aelia said calmly.
The door swung open, and Lucius stepped inside. He appeared somewhat weary.
"Mother, I heard... Father he..." Lucius hesitated, seemingly unsure of how to begin.
Aelia regarded Lucius, aware that he had always harbored resentment toward Leonard, yet he was still Leonard's son. She did not know which side he would take.
"Lucius, what do you wish to say?" Aelia's voice was steady and authoritative.
Lucius took a deep breath and looked up at Aelia. "Mother, no matter what happens, I will stand by your side."
"Because..." Lucius paused, his gaze becoming deep and complex. Finally, he simply stated meaningfully, "He is no longer a qualified Lord." Leonard felt as if he were walking on a knife's edge.
The atmosphere in the Magic Castle shifted; the air was thick with suspicion and scrutiny, like an invisible net tightening around him.
He forced himself to remain calm. When he encountered the steward in the corridor, he still managed to project the authority of a Lord, exchanging pleasantries about recent harvests and city defenses.
But the cold sweat trickling down his back betrayed his true feelings.
Aelia's gaze, once filled with gentle affection, had transformed into a cold scrutiny, like two sharp ice blades ready to cut him open at any moment.
Damn it, what had that little brat Luna told her?!
Leonard cursed inwardly, irritably tugging at the lace trim of his collar.
He needed to stabilize the situation quickly; he could not allow that wretched woman and her illegitimate child to ruin his grand plans!
He quickened his pace toward the study, the heavy wooden door behind him echoing with a dull thud, like the tolling of a bell heralding Destiny.
Inside the study, his trusted aide, Mage, stood trembling by the side, the echoes of Leonard's Ailya's Roar still resonating in the room: “Useless! All of you are useless! You can't even handle a trivial matter!”
“My Lord of the Fortress, the lady… she seems to have noticed something…” Mage stammered, his voice barely above a whisper.
Leonard spun around suddenly, his hawk-like gaze fixed on him as he gritted his teeth and demanded, “Noticed? What has she noticed?! Speak!”
Mage shuddered in fear, stuttering, “The lady… she has been investigating… investigating you and… and that one…” He dared not continue, afraid of provoking Leonard's wrath.
“Wretched woman!” Leonard slammed his fist down on the table, the solid wood groaning in pain.
He paced back and forth, restless and agitated, like a beast trapped in a cage.
“I must think of a way; I need to resolve this trouble quickly!”
Meanwhile, Lucius was drenched in sweat as he practiced magic on the Training Ground.
The carefree Third Young Master Lucius was nowhere to be seen; in his place stood a determined youth filled with fighting spirit.
Luna's words stirred up a storm within him; for the first time, he became aware of the responsibility on his shoulders and felt the weight of his family's Destiny resting upon him.
“Fireball!” he shouted, launching a searing fireball from his hand that crashed into the distant target with a deafening explosion.
“Again!” He wiped the sweat from his brow, his eyes burning with fierce determination.
He knew he had to grow stronger to protect his mother and sister and uphold the honor of his family.
Luna's small figure flitted through the corridors of the castle. She appeared to be playing, occasionally stopping to touch the murals on the walls or tease passing maids.
Yet in her clear eyes sparkled wisdom and composure far beyond her years.
She was like a diligent little bee, gathering information from every corner of the castle, capturing every trace of Leonard's Silk.
She knew that this battle had only just begun; she had to tread carefully to ultimately secure victory.
Aelia sat in front of the grooming table, where Qin Si was meticulously brushing her long hair.
In the mirror, her beauty remained intact, but her eyes now held a hint of determination and resolve.
She was ready to expose Leonard's true colors at the upcoming Magic Castle meeting and fight for her family's rightful interests.
"Madam, everything is prepared," Qin Si said softly, his tone filled with admiration and support.
Aelia took a deep breath and slowly stood up, her figure appearing particularly noble and imposing in the candlelight.
She understood that this was a war without gunpowder, yet she was fully prepared for battle.
In the Magic Castle's conference hall, the atmosphere was tense and oppressive.
Various factions had gathered to engage in heated debates about the future direction of the Magic Castle.
Leonard sat in the main seat, his expression dark and brooding, his eyes flickering as if concealing inner turmoil.
Aelia walked slowly into the conference hall, her presence immediately capturing everyone's attention.
She gracefully approached Leonard's side, her gaze calm yet resolute.
"Ladies and gentlemen, I have an important announcement to make today," Aelia's voice rang clear and strong throughout the hall.
Leonard's heart sank; an ominous premonition washed over him.
"Regarding Lord..." Aelia paused, her eyes sweeping over the crowd before finally landing on Leonard as she spoke deliberately, "he... does not deserve to be Lord any longer!"
Leonard's face changed dramatically as he suddenly stood up, pointing at Aelia and Ailya's Roar. "You... you’re talking nonsense!"
Aelia let out a cold laugh, fearlessly meeting his gaze. "You know best whether I'm speaking nonsense!"
She pulled out a stack of documents from her sleeve and threw them in front of Leonard. "These are all the evidence of your betrayal!"
Leonard's complexion instantly turned pale as he trembled while picking up the documents. His eyes fell on the Iris depicted within, and his pupils constricted sharply, leaving him frozen in place as if struck by lightning.
The conference hall erupted into chaos, with everyone murmuring among themselves. Leonard's image crumbled in the minds of the crowd.
Luna hid behind a screen, watching everything unfold with a barely noticeable smile at the corner of her mouth.
As night fell, the Magic Castle was enveloped in tranquility.
Luna lay in her Cradle, appearing to be asleep, yet her large eyes sparkled in the darkness... "Heh, this is just the beginning..." she murmured to herself.
