The suddenly constricted pupil signaled the calm before the storm.
However, at this moment, Luna was too preoccupied with the turmoil within the Magic Castle to notice; her mind was solely focused on one thought—saving Brother San!
“Mother, take me to the Spirit Spring! Quickly!” Luna’s chubby little hand clutched tightly at Aelia's skirt, her tone filled with an urgency she had never displayed before.
Aelia looked into her daughter's clear yet anxious eyes, and her heart softened.
Ever since learning that Lucius had fallen into trouble while seeking greater Magical Power, Luna had been gloomy.
“Luna, I have heard a bit about the Spirit Spring, but it is merely a legend…” Aelia hesitated, knowing Lucius's situation was unique. What if the energy of the Spirit Spring was too overwhelming and backfired? That would be disastrous.
“Mother! Trust me! The Spirit Spring can definitely help Brother San!” Luna insisted, stamping her feet in frustration. In her past life as a Great Mage, she had been acutely sensitive to the various energy fluctuations in the world.
She could clearly sense the chaotic Magical Power within Lucius. If it wasn't properly channeled, the consequences would be unimaginable.
Seeing her daughter so determined, Aelia's heart gradually settled.
She knew that although Luna was young, she possessed wisdom and perception beyond her years.
“Alright, I promise you! Qin Si, prepare everything; we will set off for the Spirit Spring immediately!”
Qin Si did not dare to delay and hurried off to make preparations.
Before long, a horse-drawn carriage pulled by two Unicorns arrived at the entrance of the Magic Castle.
Aelia held Luna tightly, with Lucius following closely behind. The group set off on the road to the Sacred Spring.
The horse-drawn carriage sped along, yet Luna remained restless and anxious.
She glanced at Lucius, whose face was pale, then lifted the curtain to gaze into the distance, wishing she could fly straight to the Sacred Spring.
"Luna, don't worry. Brother San will be fine," Lucius forced a smile in an attempt to comfort her, but his weak tone revealed his true condition.
"Brother San, don't worry. With me here, you'll definitely get better!" Luna grasped Lucius's hand, her youthful face filled with determination.
After a bumpy ride, the horse-drawn carriage finally stopped in front of a tranquil valley surrounded by mountains.
"Madam, the Sacred Spring is just ahead," Qin Si said softly as she lifted the carriage curtain.
Aelia stepped out of the carriage with Luna in her arms. Looking around, they saw mist swirling in the valley, lush vegetation all around, and a clear fountain gently lying in the center of the valley.
"What a rich Magical Energy!" Luna took a deep breath, feeling the pure energy permeating the air, and exclaimed excitedly.
Aelia also sensed the unusual energy fluctuations; her brow furrowed as she became more cautious.
"Is this really the Sacred Spring? It doesn't look particularly special," Qin Si curiously approached the spring and reached out to touch the water.
"Be careful!" Aelia exclaimed, but it was too late.
As soon as Qin Si's fingers made contact with the water, a powerful force instantly propelled her away.
“Ouch!” Qin Si exclaimed, landing hard on the ground and grimacing in pain.
“Qin Si, are you alright?” Aelia hurried over to help Qin Si up, her concern evident.
“Madam, this spring water is incredible! It feels like there’s a powerful force protecting it; I couldn’t get close at all!” Qin Si rubbed her sore arm, still shaken by the experience.
Aelia gazed at the tranquil spring water, feeling increasingly uncertain.
This spiritual spring was indeed extraordinary; she wondered if Lucius would be able to withstand it.
“Luna, are you sure you want Lucius to go in? The energy of this spring is too strong; I’m worried…” Aelia’s expression was conflicted. She wanted to help Lucius escape his predicament but feared the spring might harm him.
“Mother, trust me! Brother San can definitely do it!” Luna insisted once more.
Lucius looked into Luna's determined eyes, a warm current rising within him.
He knew Luna had his best interests at heart, and he couldn’t let her down.
“Mother, I’m willing to give it a try!” Lucius took a deep breath, stepping up to the edge of the spring, his gaze fixed firmly on the clear water.
Slowly, he removed his shoes and socks, dipping his feet into the spring.
The icy water instantly enveloped his ankles, sending a tingling sensation coursing through him.
“Brother San, don’t be afraid. Relax and feel the energy of the spring,” Luna encouraged from the side.
Lucius nodded and slowly walked into the spring.
The water gradually rose to his knees, and his body began to tremble slightly.
"Ah!" Suddenly, Lucius let out a muffled groan, his face turning even paler.
"Lucius!" Aelia exclaimed, about to rush forward to stop him.
"Don't come closer! Mother, trust Brother San!" Luna quickly held Aelia back, her tone firm.
Lucius gritted his teeth and continued to wade deeper into the water.
When the water reached his chest, his body jolted violently, and a dazzling light erupted from the Fountain, enveloping him completely.
"This..." Aelia and Qin Si were both stunned by the scene before them.
In the brilliant light, Lucius felt as if he were in a warm embrace, a powerful energy continuously flowing into his body.
He could clearly sense that the chaotic Magical Power that had troubled him for so long was being gradually dispelled by this warm energy.
What surprised him even more was that his body, which had been scarred from forced magical training, was astonishingly healing at an incredible speed.
It felt as though he had returned to the peak of his Magical Talent, even feeling stronger than he had then!
"This spring is truly miraculous!" Aelia murmured.
As everyone was immersed in the surprise, the calm spirit spring suddenly began to surge violently.
The water bubbled as if it were boiling, producing a series of popping sounds.
"What’s happening?" Qin Si asked in panic.
The whirlpool at the center of the spring grew larger, and a powerful suction emanated from it, as if it wanted to swallow everything in its path.
Aelia's expression changed dramatically as she quickly grabbed Luna and Qin Si, trying to pull them away from the spring.
"This is bad! This spirit spring..." Aelia's words were cut short when she suddenly saw Luna break free from her grip and dash toward the spring.
"Luna! It's dangerous!" Aelia cried out, attempting to chase after her, only to find that she couldn't get close to the spring at all.
An invisible force blocked her, rendering her unable to move forward.
Luna rushed to the edge of the spring without hesitation, reaching out her hand in an attempt to grasp Lucius.
However, just as her fingers were about to touch Lucius, a blinding light erupted from the spring, enveloping her as well…
