In the center of the hall, the Dark Vortex loomed like a monstrous beast, silently roaring.
The air was thick with a suffocating sense of oppression, reminiscent of the calm before a storm, foretelling the horror that was about to unfold.
"Divine Blood..."
Amidst this despairing silence, a youthful yet remarkably clear voice broke through the stillness.
Luna broke free from Aelia's embrace, her small figure standing resolutely as her bright eyes fixed intently on the Dark Vortex.
Divine Blood?
Aelia was taken aback, then looked at Luna in shock.
Divine Blood, wasn't that something that only existed in ancient legends?
It was said that those who possessed Divine Blood would wield world-destroying power.
Could it be...
"Luna, what did you say?" Aelia's voice trembled, unable to believe her ears.
"Mom, there's Divine Blood over there." Luna nodded confidently, her small face showing no fear, but rather a hint of excitement.
"With it, we can change the Destiny of the Magic Castle!"
Luna's words were like a stone thrown into a calm lake, stirring up waves upon waves.
Everyone present was shocked, including Lucius, whose pale face briefly flickered with a glimmer of hope amidst his fear.
When Leonard rushed over, this was the scene he encountered.
Furrowing his brow, he gazed at the strange Dark Vortex in the center of the hall, a sense of unease swelling within him.
"Divine Blood? Nonsense!" Leonard scoffed, attempting to mask his inner turmoil.
As the Lord of the Magic Castle, he was aware of some legends surrounding Divine Blood, but he had never imagined that something thought to exist only in tales would manifest within his own Magic Castle.
"Father, Luna wouldn't lie," Lucius mustered the courage to say, knowing that his father had always doubted Luna.
Leonard shot a glance at Lucius. His son had always been weak and ineffectual; he never expected him to dare to contradict him now.
"Enough!" Leonard snapped, unwilling to hear any more of this unintentional debate.
"Even if Divine Blood truly exists, it is not something a mere infant can touch. Everyone step back; I will handle this matter."
However, Luna ignored Leonard's command and took small steps toward the Dark Vortex.
A determined light shone in her eyes.
"Luna! It's dangerous!" Aelia exclaimed, trying to stop her, but was held back by Qin Si.
“Madam, trust in Luna,” Qin Si said softly, her eyes filled with anticipation.
She believed that Luna would surely create a miracle.
Luna approached the Dark Vortex, took a deep breath, and slowly extended her small hand.
Just as her fingers were about to touch the mass of darkness, a brilliant light suddenly erupted from within her, illuminating the entire hall.
The light was sacred and pure, dispelling the darkness and bringing hope.
Under the radiance, the Dark Vortex began to churn violently, as if stimulated by some force.
“Is this the power of Divine Blood?” Luna murmured to herself, feeling a powerful force surge into her body, transforming her very being.
The strength was so immense that it felt almost unbearable.
“I must succeed!” Luna told herself resolutely.
She needed to merge with the Divine Blood, change the Destiny of the Magic Castle, and save her family.
Turning to Qin Si, she said, “Qin Si, take care of Mom. I’m going to merge with the Divine Blood now.”
Luna’s voice was soft but filled with determination.
She knew that from this point on, she would have to walk this path alone.
Under the watchful eyes of everyone, Luna closed her eyes and began to wholeheartedly merge with the Divine Blood.
Mysterious magical light surrounded her, forming a massive Light Cocoon that enveloped her completely.
However, the merging process was not going smoothly.
As time passed, the magic within the Magic Castle began to grow chaotic.
Dark Magic surged forth like a tide, eroding every corner of the Magic Castle.
"This is bad! The power of the Divine Blood has gone out of control!" an elder Mage exclaimed, his face pale.
"Hurry! Stop her!" Leonard panicked, realizing he might have made a grave error.
The power of the Divine Blood was far more potent and dangerous than he had anticipated.
At that moment, three figures appeared simultaneously in the hall.
It was the eldest brother, Second Brother, and Brother San. They sensed the crisis within the Magic Castle and rushed to provide support.
"Luna!" the eldest brother shouted anxiously as he saw Luna wrapped in the Light Cocoon, her body trembling as if she were enduring immense pain.
"We're here to help you!" Second Brother and Brother San joined in, unleashing their Magical Power in an attempt to stabilize the power of the Divine Blood for Luna.
However, their efforts seemed to have little effect.
The power of Divine Blood grew increasingly violent, and the dark magic thickened, casting the entire Magic Castle into shadow.
“No, this cannot continue; it will destroy the Magic Castle!” Luna's voice emerged from the Light Cocoon, tinged with despair.
She realized that continuing the fusion might bring even greater disaster to the Magic Castle.
“I... I give up!” Luna said with great difficulty. For the sake of the Magic Castle and her family, she had to abandon the fusion of Divine Blood.
As Luna relinquished the fusion, the Light Cocoon began to dissipate, and the power of Divine Blood gradually calmed down.
The dark magic also started to recede, and the Magic Castle slowly returned to tranquility.
Luna collapsed weakly onto the ground, her face as pale as paper.
She had failed; she could not fuse with Divine Blood and could not change the destiny of the Magic Castle.
At that moment, her elder brother suddenly exclaimed excitedly, “Luna, we succeeded! I have lifted the curse of Magic Backlash!”
“I have also escaped from the Magic Dilemma!” Second Brother said with enthusiasm.
“My magical power has increased significantly!” Brother San chimed in.
It turned out that during Luna's fusion with Divine Blood, its power had also affected them.
The strength of Divine Blood awakened their potential, helping them overcome their own weaknesses.
Luna smiled with relief upon hearing the news.
Although she had not been able to merge with the Divine Blood, her family had benefited from it.
Perhaps this was the arrangement of Destiny.
"Luna, are you okay?" Aelia rushed over and hugged Luna tightly, concern etched on her face.
"I'm fine, Mom," Luna replied, shaking her head as she nestled into Aelia's embrace.
The Magic Castle had temporarily escaped crisis, and joy spread across everyone's faces.
However, a sense of unease lingered in Luna's heart.
"Something feels off..." Luna murmured softly, her gaze piercing through the crowd to the corner of the hall, sensing that something was missing.
Aelia keenly noticed Luna's unease. "What's wrong, Luna?"
"Mom, don't you think everything... seems too smooth?" Luna whispered, her large eyes filled with confusion and uncertainty.
