After working at the advertising company for a while, Lin Yue gradually became familiar with the business processes and her colleagues. One day, the company received an important Advertising Project that required planning a large-scale promotional event for a fashion brand. The supervisor decided to form a project team, and Lin Yue was selected as a Copywriter member due to her previous outstanding performance, while Zhou Yi was appointed as the lead designer for this project.
During the first meeting of the project team, Lin Yue sat nervously yet excitedly in the conference room. When Zhou Yi walked in, the atmosphere instantly quieted down. He glanced around, his gaze lingering on Lin Yue for a moment before he took a seat at the other end of the table. The supervisor introduced the background and requirements of the project, emphasizing its importance. Lin Yue diligently took notes, determined to perform well in this project.
After the meeting, Lin Yue approached Zhou Yi to ask some questions about design and how it could complement her copywriting. Zhou Yi looked up at her slightly anxious expression and furrowed his brow but patiently answered her questions. Grateful for his help, Lin Yue silently resolved to collaborate well with Zhou Yi and ensure the project's success.
As the project progressed, Lin Yue and Zhou Yi had more interactions. Lin Yue was responsible for writing advertising copy while Zhou Yi created designs based on her text. One day, Lin Yue sent Zhou Yi her freshly written copy, hoping to receive his feedback soon. After reviewing it, Zhou Yi felt that some parts were not engaging enough, so he made comments directly on the document and sent it back. Upon receiving his feedback, Lin Yue felt somewhat wronged; she believed she had worked hard, yet Zhou Yi still seemed dissatisfied. Anger bubbled within her as she thought Zhou Yi was being too harsh.
The next day, while revising her copy in the office, Zhou Yi approached her and noticed her frowning expression. "What's wrong?" he asked. Lin Yue looked up and replied defiantly, "I can't write good copy and you criticized me." Zhou Yi paused for a moment before saying, "I wasn't criticizing you; I just think it can be optimized further. Don't take it to heart." Lin Yue pouted and replied, "I know, but I really tried my best." Sighing, Zhou Yi said, "I know you're putting in effort, but advertising copy is crucial; it affects the entire ad's effectiveness. Keep pushing yourself; I believe you can do well." Hearing this eased some of Lin Yue's frustration, but she still felt unhappy.
A few days later, Lin Yue and Zhou Yi went to meet with a client together. The client praised Zhou Yi's designs but had many critiques regarding Lin Yue's copy. Feeling wronged, Lin Yue thought she was being dragged down by Zhou Yi's success. After the meeting ended, she angrily told him, "It's because your design is so good that my copy looks bad." Zhou Yi was taken aback and replied helplessly, "Lin Yue, how can you say that? We're a team; copywriting and design go hand in hand." Ignoring him, Lin Yue turned and walked away. Zhou Yi watched her retreating figure with a sigh of resignation.
Following that unpleasant client meeting, the relationship between Lin Yue and Zhou Yi became somewhat delicate. Although Lin Yue knew deep down that Zhou Yi was right, she couldn't help but sulk. Meanwhile, Zhou Yi noticed her change in mood but didn't know how to comfort her. As the project continued to move forward, they had no choice but to keep collaborating.
