Aelia's words struck like a blade tempered in ice, piercing directly into Leonard's heart.
The color drained from his face instantly, and a flicker of panic flashed in his deep blue eyes, quickly masked by a facade of calm.
“Aelia, what are you talking about? What Separate Courtyard? What woman?” He attempted to cover his inner turmoil with a steady tone, but his voice trembled slightly, betraying his true emotions.
Aelia let out a cold laugh, tightening her grip around Luna as if drawing strength from the small life in her arms.
“After everything, you still want to quibble? Leonard, I must have been blind to love a hypocritical man like you!” Her voice rose higher, filled with long-suppressed anger and disappointment.
Years of affection crumbled like a mirage before her eyes.
Those once-sweet memories transformed into sharp knives, mercilessly slicing at her heart.
She felt a burning fire within her chest, a flame of anger and the pain of betrayal.
“Do you think I know nothing? The woman in the Separate Courtyard, and all those things you secretly gave her! Leonard, what do you take me for? A fool you can deceive at will?!” Tears streamed down Aelia's face, falling onto Luna's soft hair.
She struggled to control her emotions, not wanting to lose composure in front of her daughter, but the pain inside surged like a flood, overwhelming and impossible to suppress.
Leonard watched Aelia's anguish rise within him, stirring a twinge of guilt.
He knew he had done wrong, but he did not believe that his love for Aelia was false.
He had simply… made an error that any man could make.
“Aelia, let me explain…” He tried to approach her, reaching for her hand, but Aelia recoiled as if avoiding a plague.
“Explanation? What more is there to explain? Are you going to tell me that what you have with that woman is true love?!” Aelia's voice was sharp and piercing, filled with a desperate scream.
The atmosphere in the study instantly dropped to freezing point, the air thick with oppression and pain.
Just then, a hurried set of footsteps broke the stalemate in the room.
“Mother! Father!” Eldest Brother, Second Brother, and Brother San rushed in, their expressions anxious.
They had clearly heard about the argument in the study and were worried that their parents might do something irrational.
“Mother, please don’t be upset. Let’s talk this through,” Eldest Brother said as he approached Aelia with concern.
Despite his physical disability, he still tried his best to protect his mother.
Second Brother and Brother San stood in front of Leonard, looking at him with complex expressions.
They felt both anger towards their father’s actions and worry for the family’s destiny.
“Father, can you really justify this to Mother? To the entire Magic Castle?” Second Brother's voice was low and serious.
Brother San looked at his parents with confusion. He had been so absorbed in his own magical talent that he had been indifferent to family matters until this moment when he became aware of the enormous crisis facing the Magic Castle.
Leonard looked at his three sons, a mix of emotions swirling within him.
He knew he had disappointed them, but he did not believe he had done anything wrong.
He was a man, with his own desires and needs. Was that really a fault?
"Enough!" Leonard suddenly roared, interrupting his sons' pleas.
"This is my family matter, and I don't need your interference! Get out!"
The three sons were startled by Leonard's roar. They knew their father was furious and dared not say another word, quietly exiting the study.
Aelia looked at Leonard.
"Leonard, I truly misjudged you," she said softly, her tone eerily calm.
With that, she turned away, cradling Luna in her arms as she left the study without a backward glance.
The situation at Magic Castle had become unstable due to Aelia's discovery.
In the evening, Luna sat on the windowsill of her room, gazing at the sky painted red by the setting sun, her heart filled with worry.
She knew that the crisis at Magic Castle had only just begun. If they didn't find a solution soon, the entire family would face disaster.
"We can't go on like this," Luna murmured to herself. Taking a deep breath, she resolved to lead everyone in search of a way to break through the predicament.
"Luna, are you really sure about this? It's dangerous out there," her elder brother said with concern in his eyes. Although he knew Luna was smart, he still felt she was too young to bear such a heavy responsibility.
"Big Brother, don't worry, I'll be fine," Luna said with a smile.
"And we can't just sit here and wait any longer; we must take the initiative to find a solution to our problems."
Second Brother and Brother San also agreed with Luna's decision. They knew that this was a critical moment for Magic Castle's survival, and they had to unite to overcome the challenges ahead.
The next morning, Luna and her companions quietly left Magic Castle and embarked on their journey to find a way to break the deadlock.
They traveled eastward, crossing dense forests and treacherous mountains, until they finally arrived at a mysterious magical forest.
This forest was filled with danger, with lurking magical beasts and unknown traps everywhere.
But Luna did not falter; drawing on the memories and experiences of the Former Great Mage, she carefully led everyone forward.
Suddenly, a faint cry for help reached their ears.
"Help... someone help me..."
Luna's expression changed, signaling everyone to stop.
She listened intently to the cry for help, trying to determine its source.
"There!" Luna pointed towards a thicket ahead.
Everyone cautiously pushed aside the bushes and saw a ragged Mage trapped in a black Magic Trap.
His body was tightly bound by black chains, his face pale and his breath weak, clearly having sustained serious injuries.
“It’s a Dark Magic Trap!” Second Brother said with a grave expression.
“This kind of trap is extremely dangerous. Once ensnared, it will continuously absorb the Mage’s magic power until it is completely depleted.”
“Quick, save him!” Brother San urged anxiously.
However, Luna did not act immediately. She carefully observed the Magic Trap before her, trying to find a way to break it.
She knew that Dark Magic was very evil; acting rashly could easily backfire and lead to even more severe consequences.
“This trap is complex and requires teamwork to dismantle,” Luna said solemnly.
“Elder Brother, Second Brother, Brother San, follow my instructions and do as I say…”
The tense atmosphere spread instantly. Luna’s expression was focused and serious; how would she lead everyone to escape?
Luna's commands were clear and calm, like precise magic stones falling into each person's heart, dispelling the panic.
“Elder Brother, use your Earth Magic to stabilize the ground around the trap and prevent it from expanding further. Second Brother, you excel at Water Magic; use the water flow to strike the connection points of the chains and weaken their power. Brother San, your Wind Magic is the purest; use wind blades to cut through the Magic Patterns on the chains and disrupt their magical cycle!”
Upon hearing this, Elder Brother immediately sprang into action.
He slowly raised his hands, chanting an Ancient Spell.
His magic awakened like a slumbering giant, emanating a heavy and steady aura from his body.
The ground beneath him began to tremble, countless tiny grains of sand and stone converging to form a solid earthen wall in front of him, firmly enclosing the black Magic Trap.
The wall resembled a massive Container, confining the Magic Fluctuation of the trap within, preventing it from spreading outwards and harming others.
Second Brother was equally determined. He took a deep breath, and his Azure Blue eyes sparkled with dazzling light.
He extended his right hand, pointing at the black chains.
In an instant, a torrent of water surged from his Palm, transforming into sharp Water Arrows that fiercely struck the connection points of the chains.
The water flowed with tremendous penetrating power, continuously washing over the Magic Patterns on the chains, producing crackling sounds.
The black light on the chains began to dim, and tiny cracks appeared at the connection points.
Seeing this, Brother San did not dare to lag behind.
He closed his eyes, feeling the flowing wind elements in the surrounding air.
His body was as light as willow fluff in the breeze, with invisible blades of wind swirling around him.
Suddenly, he opened his eyes wide. With a wave of his hands, countless wind blades sliced through the air like sharp blades, accurately cutting into the Magic Patterns on the chains.
The wind blades possessed immense cutting force, gradually damaging the Magic Patterns, causing the magical cycle within the chains to become chaotic.
Luna stood to the side, nervously watching the actions of the three.
She constantly adjusted their magical output, ensuring that their powers would perfectly align for optimal effect.
Her mind raced like a finely tuned magical calculator, precisely calculating every detail.
She knew that even the slightest misstep could lead to the failure of the entire rescue operation.
Time ticked away, and the air was thick with tension.
Beads of sweat formed on everyone's foreheads, and their breaths grew increasingly urgent.
Yet they did not give up; they gritted their teeth and persevered in their actions.
They understood that they were not just saving a stranger, but also saving themselves and the hope of the entire Magic Castle.
Finally, with everyone working together, the black chains began to crack, and the magical fluctuations of the Magic Trap weakened.
The Mage trapped in the trap gradually regained some awareness.
He lifted his head and looked gratefully at Luna and her companions.
With a sharp crack, the black chains completely broke apart, and the Magic Trap vanished.
The Mage was freed, collapsing weakly to the ground as he gasped for breath.
Luna hurried forward to help the Mage, her voice filled with concern. "Are you alright?"
The Mage looked at Luna with gratitude, his voice hoarse as he replied, "Thank you all. I'm fine. If you hadn't arrived in time, I might have died here."
"There's no need to thank us; it was just a small effort," Luna said with a smile.
"May I ask how you ended up in such a dangerous situation?"
The Mage sighed, speaking helplessly. "Well, it's a long story. I intended to enter this magical forest to search for some rare herbs, but I accidentally stumbled into a trap set by dark Mages. The dark magic here is thick; one misstep and you could fall victim."
"Dark Mages?" Luna furrowed her brow, a sense of unease washing over her.
She had a nagging feeling that this magical forest was not as simple as it appeared.
"By the way, to thank you for saving my life, I am willing to share a secret," the Mage said mysteriously.
"Deep within this magical forest lies a hidden place. It is said that it holds powerful magical energy that might help you overcome your difficulties."
"A hidden place?" Luna's interest was piqued, and she quickly asked, "Do you know where this hidden place is?"
The Mage nodded and pointed deeper into the forest. "It's right there. Cross through this dense forest and climb over that towering peak, and you will find it. However, the environment there is extremely dangerous; there are powerful magical beasts and unknown traps everywhere. You must be careful."
Luna took a deep breath.
"Thank you; we will be cautious," she said gratefully.
"We have important matters to attend to, so we must take our leave."
With that, Luna led the group deeper into the forest.
They navigated through dense woods and scaled steep peaks, encountering countless dangers along the way. Yet, with their wisdom and courage, they overcame each challenge.
Finally, after enduring numerous hardships, they arrived at the mysterious place mentioned by the Mage.
It was an area shrouded in mist, with a rich aura of magic permeating the air around them.
Through the fog, ancient structures could be faintly seen, exuding a mysterious and solemn presence.
"Is this... the mysterious place?" Brother San gazed at the scene before him, feeling a wave of awe wash over him.
"Legend has it that this was once the center of the Ancient Magical Civilization, hiding powerful Magical Power," Second Brother said gravely.
"We must be cautious and not act recklessly."
Luna stood at the forefront, carefully observing her surroundings.
She could sense that the Magical Energy in this area was unusually active, as if some powerful entity were sleeping within.
"It is said that this place conceals a power capable of changing the world," Eldest Brother said slowly, his voice tinged with reverence.
"Can we truly find a way to break the deadlock here?"
Qin Si stood nearby, unable to suppress a low murmur, "Miss, this place looks so terrifying. Are we really going in?"
Luna did not respond; her gaze was fixed on an ancient stone tablet.
The tablet was inscribed with some old Iris, emitting a faint glow.
She slowly approached the tablet, extending her finger to gently trace the Iris on its surface.
Suddenly, the Iris on the tablet began to shine, and a powerful surge of Magical Energy flowed into Luna's body.
Luna felt a wave of dizziness as her mind filled with vague images of Leonard's Last Night.
"A prophecy... an ancient prophecy... Turning Point of Fate..." A deep voice echoed in her mind.
Luna jolted awake, feeling her body brimming with strength, as if she had been reborn.
She knew that this mysterious place concealed immense secrets.
"Qin Si, come here for a moment," Luna suddenly said, her voice carrying an inexplicable tone.
"How much do you know about the Ancient Prophecy Sign?"
