"I never expected that on Earth, where Daoist Techniques have become increasingly rare, someone like you would emerge. But first, answer my question: where did you obtain your cultivation inheritance? How did you achieve such profound mastery?" The woman countered, her beautiful eyes glancing over Jiang Chen.
"My inheritance, if I told you, you wouldn’t understand. In this universe, there are countless Great Thousand Worlds, and within each Great Thousand World, there are small hidden realms. My inheritance is merely one of those within the Great Thousand World. Why pursue it further?" Jiang Chen replied with a smile.
"Since you say that, I can respond in kind. If you wish to know where my celestial abode is, I can only tell you that it is also one of the Great Thousand Worlds. You wouldn’t comprehend it even if I told you," the woman said.
"If you don’t say it, I can guess. You must be from the Mountain and Sea Secret Realm," Jiang Chen said with a slight smile.
"How do you know?" The woman was taken aback.
"Because of this." As he spoke, a flash of light appeared in Jiang Chen's hand, revealing the Kunlun Divine Mirror.
"This is the Kunlun Divine Mirror! How could it be in your possession?" The woman was astonished once more.
"It seems you know quite a bit about the Kunlun Divine Mirror. Why don’t you tell me about your background and the Mountain and Sea Secret Realm?" Jiang Chen continued.
"Why should I tell you these things?" Although surprised, the woman remained cautious.
"Because I can help you escape and regain your freedom. In fact, I can even take you back to the Mountain and Sea Secret Realm," Jiang Chen said.
Upon hearing his words, the woman's eyes widened slightly, clearly intrigued. However, her expression soon darkened again.
"Help me escape? Ha! You probably lack the strength for that. As for returning to the Mountain and Sea Secret Realm, don’t even think about it. Your cultivation level is definitely insufficient for such a feat; even if it were possible, you'd be facing certain death," she scoffed, believing Jiang Chen was being overly boastful. Although she couldn’t see through him, she was convinced he could not accomplish what he claimed.
"What if I told you I could do it? For me, it wouldn’t be difficult at all. Would you believe me?" Jiang Chen said nonchalantly, his calm eyes radiating an inner confidence.
The woman gazed at Jiang Chen for a long time. While he indeed seemed unfathomable, believing in him was still a challenge for her. Yet this was her only hope; otherwise, she would remain trapped here for thousands or even tens of thousands of years.
"You don’t have to say anything if you don’t want to. But today’s encounter with me is your fortune—a rare opportunity in ten thousand years. Think it over," Jiang Chen said again in a steady tone.
The cold wind howled as silence enveloped the world around them. Jiang Chen looked at the starry sky while the woman focused on him. After about five minutes, he withdrew his gaze from the deep cosmos and looked back at her.
"Have you made up your mind?"
The woman’s furrowed brow suddenly relaxed as she spoke with a tone of reluctant seriousness: "I’ll trust you this once."
"Trusting me is the right choice," Jiang Chen replied with a smile.
At the peak of the sacred mountain, Jiang Chen listened intently as the woman spoke. He was not particularly surprised; instead, he gained a deeper understanding of the Mountain and Sea Secret Realm.
However, one thing caught Jiang Chen off guard: the Mountain and Sea Secret Realm was not a cave on Earth, but rather one of the Great Thousand Worlds that existed parallel to Earth. Thousands of years ago, it was discovered by cultivators from Earth. The Mountain and Sea Secret Realm was rich in Spiritual Energy and teeming with ferocious beasts, making it a more suitable place for cultivation. As a result, cultivators from various factions on Earth began to vie for territory within the Mountain and Sea Secret Realm.
