"We'll see about that," Jin Shengkai retorted angrily. A wise man knows when to retreat; being in the underworld, he understood that there were many experts in Huaxia Martial Arts. This kid using chopsticks is nothing special; it's just some decent qi manipulation. "That's not our concern; this matter has nothing to do with us, so we should stay out of it," Qian Wenwu replied.
"What about Sumei?" Chen Shuifeng asked.
"We're barely safe ourselves; we can't worry about her anymore. Besides, Boss Jin won't do anything to Xiong Sumei as long as she pays him off. The situation was almost resolved until that kid intervened and escalated things—now it might take ten million to settle this," Qian Wenwu analyzed.
The group continued to whisper among themselves, throwing cold remarks at Jiang Chen.
"Miss Xiong, let's eat; don't dwell on what happened earlier," Jiang Chen said with a slight smile.
"Uh, okay," Xiong Sumei replied awkwardly, hastily starting to eat again. However, how could she not be concerned after such an incident? What was initially a minor issue had escalated into something serious because Jiang Chen had injured someone; it seemed unlikely that this would resolve easily now.
Distractedly taking a few bites, Xiong Sumei felt increasingly anxious, glancing frequently at the restaurant entrance in fear that Jin Shengkai and his crew would return.
