Xuan Yang showcased his remarkable strength in the Trial Arena of the Puppet Sect, successfully passing the test and becoming the center of attention.
After the trial, he felt a sense of accomplishment, but it was soon overshadowed by jealousy and hostility.
"Hmph, that useless one actually passed the trial; it's truly laughable!" a petite female disciple said coldly, disdain flashing in her eyes.
Her name was Li Xue, recognized as a beauty within the sect, her strength not to be underestimated. Yet, she was filled with dissatisfaction over Xuan Yang's rise.
"Exactly! Why does he get all the attention while we are ignored?" another female disciple chimed in, her face full of indignation.
Qu Si Yang observed quietly from the side, her concern for Xuan Yang deepening.
She knew that while Xuan Yang's strength was formidable, in this competitive sect, jealousy and hostility could brew danger at any moment.
"Don't be like that; Xuan Yang is just working hard," Qu Si Yang attempted to defend him, but her voice seemed insignificant among the group of female disciples.
"It's easy for you to say that. Do you want to be mocked alongside him?" Li Xue retorted with a sneer, a hint of malice flickering in her eyes.
At that moment, Xuan Yang approached, sensing that something was off in the atmosphere. He frowned slightly, feeling a sense of wariness creeping in.
"What are you talking about?" Xuan Yang's voice carried a hint of dissatisfaction as he scanned the female disciples, sensing an undercurrent of hostility.
"Oh, nothing much; we were just discussing you," Li Xue replied with a smirk, her eyes glinting with provocation.
"If you have what it takes, then come and try!" Xuan Yang shot back defiantly, a surge of fighting spirit igniting within him.
He knew he could not be defeated by their jealous glares.
"Alright then, let's have a match!" Li Xue challenged, excitement gleaming in her eyes.
"I don't want to waste time with you," Xuan Yang said coldly, secretly contemplating how to resolve this crisis.
"Are you afraid?" Li Xue's voice cut through the air like a sharp knife, piercing straight into Xuan Yang's heart.
"I'm not afraid; I just think you aren't worth my serious attention," Xuan Yang replied firmly, his voice strong as if declaring his stance.
"You useless fool, how arrogant!" Li Xue seethed with anger, vowing silently to make Xuan Yang pay for his insolence.
At that moment, the Master of the Sect approached, his gaze sharp as he surveyed the surrounding disciples.
His presence compelled everyone to fall silent.
"What is happening?" The Master's voice boomed like thunder, intimidating all who heard it.
"Master, Xuan Yang is provoking us!" Li Xue immediately pointed her finger at Xuan Yang, her eyes glinting with malice.
"I did not provoke anyone; I merely wish to maintain my dignity," Xuan Yang coldly responded, mentally preparing for the situation ahead.
"You are all disciples of the Sect and should stand united rather than fight amongst yourselves," the Master spoke with authority, leaving no room for further discussion.
"Yes, Master," everyone replied in unison, though each harbored their own thoughts.
"Xuan Yang, your strength has impressed me, but in the Sect, strength is not the only standard," the Master's gaze rested on Xuan Yang, a hint of appreciation in his tone.
"I understand," Xuan Yang nodded slightly, feeling grateful for the Master's support.
"However, Li Xue, you must also realize that jealousy and hostility will only lead you to lose more," the Master's gaze was like a sword, piercing directly into Li Xue's heart.
"Yes, Master, I will be careful," Li Xue replied, her heart filled with reluctance, yet she dared not argue further.
With the appearance of Master, the atmosphere eased slightly, but Xuan Yang knew well that the turmoil was far from over. Li Xue and her companions were still plotting something in the shadows.
"You need to watch out for them; they won't let you off easily," Qu Si Yang whispered from the side, concern flickering in his eyes.
"I know, I'll be cautious," Xuan Yang replied with a faint smile, secretly contemplating how to face the challenges ahead.
Days later, Xuan Yang gradually adapted to his new life in the Sect. However, Li Xue and her companions continued to undermine him from behind the scenes.
They began spreading rumors about Xuan Yang within the Sect, trying to sow discord among the other disciples.
"Have you heard? Xuan Yang only passed the trial by luck; he’s not trustworthy at all!" Li Xue proclaimed loudly in front of everyone, her eyes gleaming with triumph.
"Yeah, I heard he didn't show any real strength during the trial," another female disciple chimed in, her face filled with mockery.
"I don't believe he has any real power!" The crowd murmured in agreement, their expressions revealing doubt and disdain.
Xuan Yang listened silently from the side, anger boiling within him. Yet he knew he couldn't be easily defeated by these rumors.
He resolved to prove himself through action.
"I will show you what true strength really is!" Xuan Yang vowed silently, preparing himself for the challenges that lay ahead.
At that moment, Li Xue and her companions approached Xuan Yang once more, ready to give him a harsh lesson.
"You worthless fool, today you will see what true strength looks like!" Li Xue said coldly, her eyes glinting with provocation.
"I am not afraid of you," Xuan Yang said, his voice firm and powerful, as he contemplated how to counterattack.
"Then come at me!" Li Xue commanded, launching her attack in an instant.
Xuan Yang felt a tightness in his chest as he quickly summoned his Ability. The Shadow Puppet materialized behind him, seemingly waiting for his command.
"Go!" With a shout from Xuan Yang, the Shadow Puppet lunged at Li Xue like a fierce beast, instantly repelling her attack.
"This... how is this possible?" Li Xue exclaimed, her face filled with shock and unease.
"I told you before, I am not useless!" Xuan Yang's voice thundered, carrying immense authority and confidence.
The surrounding disciples stepped back in fear, unable to believe the scene unfolding before them. Li Xue and her companions exchanged glances, their hearts filled with dread.
"How... how could you possess such power?" Li Xue stammered, her eyes flickering with anxiety.
"Because I am the reincarnation of the Puppet Master!" Xuan Yang declared, his voice resonating like a war drum, filled with unwavering confidence and determination.
At that moment, the Master's voice rang out again: "Very good, Xuan Yang. Your performance has impressed me."
"Thank you, Master," Xuan Yang replied with a slight smile, feeling grateful for the Master's support.
"Li Xue, you must understand that jealousy and hostility will only cause you to lose more," the Master's gaze pierced through Li Xue's heart like a sharp sword.
"Yes, Master. I will be mindful of that," Li Xue replied reluctantly, knowing she dared not argue further.
As the turmoil subsided, Xuan Yang's strength began to gain recognition, and Li Xue along with her companions started to temper their hostility.
However, Xuan Yang knew deep down that this turmoil was far from over. The leader of the Shadow Force, Shadow, was still watching his every move from the shadows.
"This boy seems a bit extraordinary..." A sinister smile crept across Shadow's lips as he secretly plotted his next move.
"I will make you my pawn, Puppet Master," Shadow murmured to himself, a glint of malice flickering in his eyes.
As time passed, Xuan Yang's strength continued to grow, and his Master began to provide him with more in-depth guidance.
One day, the Master summoned Xuan Yang to impart a secret technique.
"Xuan Yang, today I will teach you a secret technique that will greatly aid you in your quest to find the Puppet Heart in the Misty Forest," the Master's voice boomed like thunder, shaking the entire Sect.
"Thank you, Master! I will study hard!" Xuan Yang replied with a firm and powerful voice, filled with anticipation and determination.
"This technique is called 'Puppet Heart.' It will help you better control the shadows and the power of the Puppet Master." The Master's gaze was intense, carrying a hint of seriousness.
"I will strive to master it!" Xuan Yang nodded slightly, silently grateful for his Master's support.
Under his Master's guidance, Xuan Yang's strength steadily increased. He gradually grasped the essence of 'Puppet Heart,' and his heart brimmed with excitement for the upcoming adventure.
"I will definitely find the Puppet Heart and become a true Puppet Master!" Xuan Yang silently vowed, determination shining in his eyes.
However, the dangers and challenges of the Misty Forest awaited him. Xuan Yang knew that the road ahead was fraught with uncertainty and trials, but he was ready to face whatever tests lay ahead.
