The cultivation of the Ning Shen Realm can be both simple and complex. If one lacks Kung Fu and auxiliary materials, there are limits to the requirements for refining the spirit; however, as long as one can condense the Spirit Cloud, it can be considered a success in spirit cultivation.
On the other hand, if one has higher expectations for spirit refinement, better Kung Fu and materials are necessary, requiring more time for cultivation. The difference between the two lies in the size and density of the Spirit Cloud, which also has far-reaching implications. For instance, the size of the Spirit Cloud directly affects the difficulty of condensing the Divine Body in the future, as well as the size of that Divine Body. Of course, these matters seemed unrelated to him. His own situation regarding spirit cultivation had always left him feeling anxious. Thus, he had consulted numerous texts until he arrived at Nameless Town, using the excuse of needing to research materials for Elder Zhu's tasks at Huo Lou. It was only then that he realized that refining the spirit was not as difficult as he had previously imagined. However, he found no records regarding his own condition in any of the texts. Later, his eagerness to enter the Lava Sea extinguished any lingering curiosity about his situation; it seemed that his current state of spirit cultivation was not problematic for him and might even be beneficial.
Stretching lazily, he got up to move around and walked out of the Cave with renewed vigor. After inspecting his surroundings, he dove back into the cave. The hope that had once dimmed reignited within him. Since the cave was filled with pure Spiritual Power, there must be a source for this energy. If he could find it, his spirit cultivation could see significant improvement in a short time—perhaps even reaching great perfection. With a source of Spiritual Power, he would no longer have to worry about cultivation resources.
Inside the cave, the rich Spiritual Power still filled the air, but it obstructed his senses. He could only search as he had before. The results were both expected and surprising; after a thorough search, hope flickered out once again.
"Since there is no source, I cannot miss out on this Spiritual Power," he decided firmly. Returning to the Cave, he began to absorb the drifting Spiritual Power voraciously. Such a large volume of Spiritual Power should elevate his Realm significantly.
A month passed. Mo Wen emerged from his meditation in the center of the Cave. During this month, he had absorbed the Spiritual Power like wind, causing what was once dense energy to gradually thin out until it became impossible to absorb any more. In his mind, the small lake formed by Divine Liquid had transformed into a vast ocean; at this point, he should have reached mid-stage in spirit refinement. Although he had only progressed from early mid-stage to mid-stage, the amount of condensed Divine Liquid was several times greater than in early stages. Throughout this month, Spiritual Rain had continuously fallen above him.
Opening his eyes, he felt neither joy nor sorrow; however, deep down inside, he was quite satisfied with the results of this cultivation session. Although his Realm had advanced from early mid-stage to mid-stage due to such a massive influx of Spiritual Power, it also indicated that his foundation was solid.
He stood up and re-entered the cave. After experiencing several failures in searching for the source of Spiritual Power, giving up was not an option. Now that there was no longer any obstructive Spiritual Power hindering his senses within the cave, he could conduct a more thorough search using his awareness. If a source of Spiritual Power truly existed, it should be located somewhere within the cave—though perhaps it could not be detected by sight alone. If there were still no discoveries this time around, then he could resolutely resign himself to becoming "Mo Bai Lao."
