"You can't be of any assistance. I advise you all to step aside; don't blame me if you get hurt by the Yin Spirit's energy," said the tall man in black calmly. He was quite rational. Although both sides were at odds, they were wary of each other, making it difficult for either party to take action.

The tall man in black folded a talisman into a funnel shape and poured powder from the porcelain bottle into it, repeating this process three times.
After finishing, the slightly plump middle-aged man opened the sphere while the tall man muttered incantations. He stuffed the three talismans containing the powder into the sphere. Once inside, he sealed it up tightly. Almost immediately, they could see smoke rising as the talismans burned within; an odd smell wafted through—light yet pungent—making their heads feel heavy.
Li Fuxiu and Jiang Shi were startled and quickly donned gas masks, fearing they might fall victim to some kind of intoxicating fragrance again.
"Old Peng, be careful of the intoxicating scent; you should wear one too," Li Fuxiu said as he handed a mask to Peng Shishan.
Peng Shishan waved his hand dismissively; as a martial artist, how could he wear something so undignified as a gas mask?
The two weaker martial artists remaining were more timid and put on their masks nonetheless.
"Don't worry; this Longmian fragrance isn't meant for you," said the tall man in black casually.
The tall man and his slightly plump companion worked in tandem: one tied the sphere to the fine thread and lowered it into the deep pool while the other held the copper bell close to the water's surface and gently shook it. The sound of the bell was heavy and muffled, creating ripples across the water's surface.
