At dawn the next day, when the sky was still shrouded in a gray haze, Su Mu had already gotten out of bed.
After quickly completing his simple morning routine, he headed straight for his master Daoist Xuanji's room.
As he walked, he hurried his steps, pondering how to clearly report the matter to his master and seek guidance on how to handle it.
Soon, Su Mu arrived at Daoist Xuanji's door. He took a deep breath to steady himself before gently knocking on the door.
When he heard a response from inside, Su Mu cautiously pushed the door open and stepped in. The room was dimly lit, and Daoist Xuanji was seated on a mat with his eyes closed, meditating.
Hearing the noise, Daoist Xuanji slowly opened his eyes, his gaze warm and kind as it fell upon Su Mu.
Su Mu quickly stepped forward a few paces and respectfully bowed to Daoist Xuanji. He spoke, "Master, I plan to visit the school in town today to treat a student there." After saying this, Su Mu slightly raised his head to observe his master's reaction.
Daoist Xuanji nodded slightly, indicating that he was aware of the situation. He then asked gently, "Is this about the student with somnambulism that Doctor Wang mentioned?"
Su Mu hurriedly nodded in response. "Yes, it is that person. After some investigation and understanding, I feel there is something unusual about this case. In my opinion, the student's condition may not be as simple as mere somnambulism; it is likely connected to some malevolent entity lurking in the back mountain of the school."
Upon hearing this, Daoist Xuanji furrowed his brow and stroked the few strands of gray beard on his chin.

As soon as Doctor Wang saw Su Mu, a relieved smile broke across his face, as if he had suddenly seen a glimmer of hope in the darkness. He quickly stood up from his seat and walked briskly towards Su Mu, warmly saying, "Ah, Doctor Su! You finally made it! Come quickly, let me show you the situation with that student." With that, Doctor Wang led Su Mu through the corridor to a quiet patient room.
Pushing open the door, they were greeted by a white hospital bed where a young female student lay. She was beautiful but appeared extremely pale.
Her eyes were tightly shut, and her brows were slightly furrowed, as if she were enduring some kind of pain. Her once vibrant and energetic face now looked exceptionally haggard, evoking feelings of pity in those who saw her.
Doctor Wang pointed at the girl on the bed and softly introduced her to Su Mu. "This is the patient, named Lin Xiaoxiao. She is currently in her second year of university.

That night, Su Mu waited outside Lin Xiaoxiao's hospital room with several security guards. As the night grew quiet, an unusual movement suddenly came from the room.
Lin Xiaoxiao sat up abruptly, her gaze vacant as she murmured to herself before walking straight towards the door.
"Follow her!" Su Mu commanded in a low voice, quietly trailing behind Lin Xiaoxiao along with the security guards.
Lin Xiaoxiao made her way towards the back mountain of the school, her pace quickening as if drawn by some unseen force.
Su Mu closely followed behind, not daring to relax for even a moment.
He felt a chilling aura emanating from deep within the back mountain, growing stronger...
