Spring arrived, and Little Bear found a shiny seed in the forest. "This must be a magic seed!" Little Rabbit exclaimed, hopping with excitement. "If you plant it, it will grow into a Rainbow Flower!" Squirrel shook his head. "No, no! It will bear Starfruit!" Little Bear planted the seed in his yard, watering it and singing to it every day. But after many days, only a tiny green leaf poked through the soil. "What a lie!" Little Bear fumed, ready to pull it out. Just then, the seed spoke up, "Don't be impatient; I'm growing slowly!" From that day on, Little Bear stopped getting angry. He and his friends took turns caring for Xiao Miao, telling it stories and watching sunsets together.
When summer came, Xiao Miao had grown into a large tree, its branches laden with fragrant fruit! "So this is an Apple Tree!" everyone said in disappointment. But Little Bear smiled as he picked the fruit and shared it with his friends. "Even if it's not a magic seed, the process of waiting is the best kind of magic!" As they bit into the sweet apples, the friends realized that the fruits of their patient waiting were even more precious than Rainbow Flowers and Starfruit!
In the forest lived a little rabbit named Duo Duo who planted carrots in her garden every day. One day, Squirrel gifted her a glowing seed, claiming it was a magical seed that could grow rainbows. Excitedly, Duo Duo buried the seed in the soil and watered it daily while singing. However, after a long time, while other carrots grew tall, this seed showed no signs of life. "It must be a trick!" Duo Duo thought angrily as she prepared to dig up the seed and throw it away. Just then, Grandpa Owl passed by and said, "Patience is the most precious kind of magic." Duo Duo decided to wait a little longer.
Finally, one morning, a tender green sprout broke through the soil! The sprout grew quickly and soon transformed into a tree adorned with colorful buds. Suddenly, a heavy rainstorm hit, flooding the homes of Little Animals. Duo Duo anxiously called out to the big tree, "I wish you could help everyone!" Miraculously, the colorful buds blossomed into seven Rainbow Bridges, helping Little Animals safely reach higher ground.
It turned out that this seed needed to absorb enough love and patience to grow. From that day on, Duo Duo's garden became the warmest place in the forest. Everyone learned to patiently wait and to lend a helping hand when others were in need. Every nightfall, the Rainbow Tree would emit a soft glow, guarding sweet dreams throughout the forest.
One night, Little Hedgehog and Duo Duo discovered a glowing Blue Button in the grass. The button suddenly blinked its "eyes" and said, "I am Star Button; I can grant you one wish!" Duo Duo tilted her head thoughtfully and said, "It's so dark in the forest at night that everyone is afraid to come out and play; I want to make it bright here!" Star Button transformed into blue light and flew around the forest, creating little firefly-shaped lamps on leaves, mushrooms, and stones.
The Little Animals were overjoyed; Squirrel twirled colorful lights with his tail while Little Rabbit played hide-and-seek with a glowing carrot lantern. However, during the day these little lights still shone brightly, overshadowing the sunlight. The butterflies anxiously said, "The flowers can't tell when to bloom!" Duo Duo quickly found Star Button and said, "I'm sorry; I wanted everyone to be happy without considering the consequences. Can you make the lights shine only at night?" Star Button nodded and gently shook itself; all the little lights learned the magic of "open your eyes at night and close them during the day."
From then on, the nights in the forest were warm and bright while days were still filled with golden sunshine. Duo Duo understood that when helping others, one should first consider whether it might cause new troubles. Now whenever she looks up at the night sky, she feels that one particular star resembles that talking button.
