Su Mu slowly pushed open the ancient and heavy stone door, stepping out of the stone house with a slightly heavy gait.
He stood quietly in the center of Tianji Valley, gazing around at the lush and vibrant scenery that surrounded him.
Yet at this moment, his heart was shrouded in endless confusion, much like the bottomless depths of the valley itself.
Clutching Su Changqing's diary tightly in his hand, he found that although it provided some precious clues, these clues were akin to the twinkling stars in the night sky—seemingly close yet ultimately unreachable, only provoking more questions that left him perplexed.
He tilted his head slightly, looking up at the sapphire-blue sky.
The brilliant sunlight filtered through layers of dense, interwoven leaves, transforming into countless golden beams that cascaded down, casting dappled spots of light on the ground. Just then, a strange glimmer suddenly caught Su Mu's eye.
Following the light, he saw a solitary stone standing abruptly in the heart of the valley.
The surface of this stone was exceptionally smooth, resembling a finely polished bronze mirror. What was even more striking was that it bore an intricately carved symbol that was both peculiar and enigmatic.
This symbol appeared ancient, as if it carried the marks of time's passage.
It resembled an obscure form of writing, with each stroke imbued with profound meaning; yet it also resembled a beautiful pattern, with flowing lines that evoked admiration.
Su Mu found himself drawn closer, fixating on the symbol as a sense of familiarity surged within him.
Suddenly, a flash of inspiration struck his mind—his jade pendant! Yes, the one he had always worn close to him; its back was engraved with an identical symbol!
This astonishing discovery made Su Mu's heart race. A torrent of thoughts surged through his mind like a tidal wave.
Could it be that this mysterious symbol had intricate connections to their Tianji Su Clan?
Could it be that there lies an unknown secret between it and the legendary "Heavenly Secrets Medical Manual"?
With this thought in mind, Su Mu quickly reached into his pocket and pulled out a jade pendant that was warm and smooth to the touch. He carefully placed it in the palm of his hand and began to compare the symbols on the pendant with those etched into the stone, one by one.
After a long period of meticulous comparison and observation, Su Mu's eyes widened in disbelief.
To his astonishment, he discovered that the two pendants were remarkably similar in both overall shape and intricate details; they were practically identical, with not a single difference to be found!
What was even more astonishing was the intricate symbols carved onto the jade pendant. Their lines flowed naturally and gracefully, as if crafted by the finest artisans in the world, exuding an exquisite charm that was simply breathtaking—a true masterpiece that radiated an enchanting beauty.
Filled with curiosity and anticipation, Su Mu cautiously placed the jade pendant over the corresponding symbol on the stone's surface. At that moment, a miracle occurred—the previously dull symbols on the pendant began to emit a faint greenish glow, sparkling like stars twinkling in the night sky.
Simultaneously, the corresponding symbols on the stone seemed to awaken, radiating a similarly soft and bright light. The two sets of symbols intertwined and echoed each other, creating a dreamlike and wondrous spectacle.
However, this was just the beginning.
Suddenly, accompanied by a deep and heavy rumbling sound, the entire stone began to tremble violently.
The earth itself seemed to sense this powerful force, shaking slightly and raising clouds of dust into the air. Faced with such an unexpected turn of events, Su Mu instinctively stepped back several paces.
He fixed his gaze on everything happening before him, his heart racing uncontrollably.
Before him, the massive stone slowly began to shift as if an invisible giant hand was pushing it aside.
As the stone gradually moved away, an entrance hidden beneath it slowly revealed itself.
The entrance was deep and dark, stretching endlessly into the unknown, evoking a sense of mystery.
As Su Mu gazed at this passage leading underground, countless thoughts flashed through his mind: Could this truly be a pathway to the legendary secret place of the Tianji Su Clan?
With this thought, his emotions became increasingly complex, filled with both fear and anxiety about the unknown world ahead, yet also brimming with an uncontrollable excitement and thrill.
After much hesitation, Su Mu took a deep breath to steady his racing heart and then resolutely stepped forward, determinedly walking toward the dark and profound underground entrance.
The underground entrance was a narrow passage that wound downward, shrouded in dim light.
Su Mu cautiously made his way along the corridor, filled with anticipation and unease. On either side of the stone walls, ancient patterns were carved, seemingly telling a story of their own.
He proceeded carefully, and as time ticked by, about fifteen minutes later, the once narrow and dark passage suddenly widened, and the light began to brighten.
At last, he arrived in an extraordinarily spacious underground chamber.
This chamber was immense; it seemed to stretch on endlessly.
In the center of the chamber stood a colossal stone platform.
On top of the platform floated a pearl that emitted a soft glow. It was as captivating as the brightest star in the night sky. The light it radiated was not blinding but instead imparted a sense of tranquility and peace.
Surrounding this pearl were numerous oddly shaped stones.
These stones varied in size and shape, arranged in a specific pattern that formed a peculiar formation.
The formation before him appeared mysterious and unfathomable, as if it contained endless secrets.
The walls of the secret chamber were covered with dense inscriptions and intricate patterns. Su Mu stepped closer to the wall, carefully examining the characters.
After some deciphering, he was astonished to discover that these inscriptions bore a striking resemblance to the text in the "Heavenly Secrets Medical Manual" he held in his hands! However, compared to the words in the manual, those here seemed older and more complex, as if they carried deeper secrets.
Could it be that this was the place where the legendary Tianji Su Clan had long hidden their significant secrets?
With this thought, Su Mu's heart raced, filled with curiosity and anticipation for what lay before him.
Excited, he quickly approached the stone platform, fully focused on observing the floating orb.
As he neared the orb, he could distinctly feel a warm and powerful energy emanating from it. This energy radiated outward continuously, enveloping the entire chamber in a mysterious and solemn atmosphere.
Unable to resist, Su Mu instinctively reached out his right hand to touch the magical orb.
However, just as his fingers were about to make contact with the orb, a moment of hesitation surged within him.
After all, acting recklessly towards such an enigmatic artifact brimming with unknown powers could lead to unforeseen dangers.
Just as Su Mu was caught in his indecision, a faint sound suddenly echoed from the entrance of the secret chamber.
His heart tightened, and he quickly turned to see what was happening. There, a shadow was slowly approaching…
