“Mr. Jiang... Mr. Jiang...” Huang Qiujian murmured a couple of times, seemingly lost in thought. Suddenly, he felt as if he had been electrocuted; his tone turned serious as he questioned, “Where did you hear about Mr. Jiang?”
This Mr. Jiang was quite a notorious figure among the big shots in the Underground World. As the Underground Boss of the capital, Huang Qiujian had certainly heard of him. However, he had never met him in person. Although he found some of the rumors about Mr. Jiang to be exaggerated, Huang Qiujian dared not take them lightly. After all, many Underground Bosses had encountered Mr. Jiang, and figures like Hu Sanxiong's son and Xiao Junyong's son, as well as Feng Laowu from the Southwest, had all met their demise at his hands. Such a dangerous individual was not someone Huang Qiujian could afford to disregard.
Liang Si was also taken aback; Huang Qiujian's tone alone indicated that Mr. Jiang was indeed formidable.
“To be honest, this matter is no joke. If things go wrong, it won’t just be you who suffers; I could get dragged into it too,” Huang Qiujian’s voice rang out again as Liang Si hesitated.
At this point, Liang Si dared not hide anything and recounted the events honestly.
After hearing Liang Si's account, Huang Qiujian's expression grew even graver. “Mr. Jiang has already crippled your legs; consider yourself fortunate,” he said gravely.
“Master Huang, who exactly is this Mr. Jiang? Is he really that terrifying?” Liang Si asked with increasing curiosity.
“I’m not entirely sure about his background, but I’ve heard that this Mr. Jiang is a cold-blooded murderer who wouldn’t hesitate to take a life over a trivial disagreement. The sons of Hu Sanxiong from Zhejiang Province and Xiao Junyong from Central China, along with Feng Laowu from the Southwest, all perished at his hands. Even Hongmen doesn’t dare to provoke him; do you think he’s scary?” Huang Qiujian replied, making it clear that just hearing the rumors about Mr. Jiang was enough to instill fear.
A ruthless character like him was someone Huang Qiujian preferred to avoid.
Old Liang Si was left dumbfounded and shocked, cold sweat trickling down his back as he realized he had provoked such a terrifying presence.
After hanging up the phone, Old Liang Si’s face was extremely serious.
“Fourth Uncle, what did Master Huang say?” Liang Long leaned over to ask.
“Damn it! You’ve gotten me into deep trouble! If it weren’t for the fact that you’re my nephew, I would have killed you myself,” Old Liang Si cursed in frustration, feeling that he had lost his legs for nothing.
In the restaurant, everything returned to normal; soft music flowed through the air, creating a calm and peaceful atmosphere. A series of exquisite dishes were served up; in a truly high-end restaurant, spending hundreds of thousands on a meal was quite normal.
Qin Xiaoya and Jiang Lu were frequent friends and were quite familiar with each other; everyone regarded Qin Xiaoya as an older sister, so their conversations were relaxed and unrestrained.
After finishing dinner, it was nearly nine o'clock.
“Are we still playing?” Jiang Chen asked with a smile.
“Let’s play.”
“No more playing.”
Xu Xin still wanted to continue, but Jiang Lu, Chen Wenjing, and Yu Qing were all too tired to keep going today.
"Alright then, let's stop playing," Xu Xin said with a hint of resignation.
"I'll take you back," Qin Xiaoya replied with a smile.
At the entrance, two Rolls-Royces were parked. Aside from the drivers, there was just enough room for Jiang Chen and his group.
Jiang Chen and the others got into the cars and left. He dropped his sister and her friends off at the entrance of Capital City University, watching them walk into the campus before leaving with Qin Xiaoya.
"Young Master, you don't need to stay in a hotel. I've specially selected a villa for you in the capital. It will serve as your residence here. Whenever you come to the capital, you can rest in the villa," Qin Xiaoya said.
