"Make way," Jiang Chen said.
The pair of siblings quickly stepped aside, their eyes wide with curiosity.
Jiang Chen slowly raised his hand, forming a blade with his fingers. With a gentle swipe, a visible stream of Jing Qi sliced through the air, cleaving the massive tree in two.
The tree crashed down, freeing the Ivory Tiger. However, the creature was no fool; as soon as it was free, it bolted away. Jiang Chen's strike was so terrifying that the beast had lost control of itself in fear. The pressure from his attack was like a mountain collapsing—unbearable and overwhelming.
Jiang Chen had no intention of killing the Ivory Tiger. Every animal here was akin to a prehistoric creature, a protected species; it would be a shame to kill one.
"Do you still want to see more?" Jiang Chen asked with a faint smile at the awestruck siblings.
"N-no, that's enough," they stammered, swallowing hard. This display left them in awe; if such power could be unleashed so casually, what would a full-force strike be capable of? It felt as if he could split a mountain in half.
In that moment, they suddenly no longer wanted to flee. They felt that the elder had deceived them; the outside world seemed perilous indeed. If one young man possessed such formidable strength, it was terrifying and dangerous.
Jiang Chen was unaware that his casual display had shattered the worldview of these two young people.
"Now that you believe in my strength, can we have a proper conversation?" Jiang Chen smiled and spoke.
The two siblings realized they could no longer run away and nodded in agreement, answering truthfully.
The brother was named Tie Shan and the sister Tie Luan. Both were originally from the outside world but had been taken in by an elder named Tie. This place couldn’t be considered completely isolated; individuals of a certain level were permitted to leave.
The clothing and supplies here were procured from outside. Rather than being an isolated paradise, it was more like a Hidden Sect with a unique location.
The higher-ups here had never concealed the existence of the outside world but painted it in such a negative light that it discouraged longing for it. They described the outside as dreadful.
Thus, Tie Shan and Tie Luan, who were aware of their origins, had never yearned for the outside world. In their minds, it was hell while their life here was paradise—no one wished to fall from heaven into hell. That changed when Tie Shan accidentally overheard several drunken elders discussing the outside world. Young people are always filled with curiosity and a thirst for knowledge.
Upon learning this secret, Tie Shan could no longer sit still; he felt compelled to see the outside world and perhaps even search for his biological parents.
Later, Tie Shan shared his thoughts with Tie Luan. They had grown up together as childhood sweethearts—like true siblings—and their shared origins as orphans made their bond even closer.
Of course, this closeness was purely sibling-like; neither Tie Shan nor Tie Luan harbored any other thoughts about each other—one saw the other as an older brother while the other viewed him as a younger sister, innocent and uncomplicated.
