The two of them hit it off and decided to sneak out to see the outside world, which led to their escape. Unfortunately, they ran into Jiang Chen.
Of course, encountering Jiang Chen was a stroke of luck for them. After Tie Shan finished speaking, Jiang Chen had a general understanding of the situation here.
"By the way, I want to ask you something. Have any outsiders come in here in the past couple of days?" Jiang Chen inquired.
"There have been some, but they didn’t come on their own; they were captured by Raksasa Merfolk. There are three of them—two who we couldn’t understand have already been killed by our elder, and one is still locked up in the dungeon," Tie Shan replied.
Hearing this, Jiang Chen let out a sigh of relief. It seemed that Ye Xiaoying was still alive, but it was unfortunate that the martial artists from Island Nation and the United States had died simply because they couldn’t speak Huaxia Language; it felt quite unjust.
"Do you know them?" Tie Shan noticed the change in Jiang Chen's expression and asked.
"I know one of them... the one who is still alive," Jiang Chen said.
"What are we going to do then? You don’t plan on rescuing him, do you?" Tie Shan began to worry.
"Why? Do you doubt my strength?" Jiang Chen chuckled lightly.
"Your strength is indeed impressive, but our elder is no pushover either. So I think it’s best if you don’t let him find out about you. Your friend should be fine; I heard the elder say he wants to keep him alive," Tie Shan said.
"That’s even better," Jiang Chen relaxed further.
"Well then, you should come with us; it’s not safe for you here," Tie Shan kindly advised.
"Since I’m here and haven’t had a proper tour yet, how can I just leave? Here’s the deal: if you want to go outside, there’s no need for any fuss. Just show me around here first, and later I’ll take you out. The outside world is truly fascinating and completely different from here," Jiang Chen smiled.
"Huh?" Tie Shan and Tie Luan's eyes nearly popped out; Jiang Chen actually wanted to tour this place? That was incredibly bold of him.
"It’s settled then; let’s go," Jiang Chen said without waiting for their agreement and started walking ahead.
After a few steps, he noticed that Tie Shan and Tie Luan hadn’t moved, so he stopped and turned back with a smile, "Do I need to force you to come along? Hurry up, don’t dawdle."
"If you want to explore here, go ahead by yourself; we can’t accompany you—sorry," Tie Shan apologized.
"Are you afraid your elder will kill me?" Jiang Chen laughed.
The two nodded honestly; they were indeed worried about that.
"You should be more concerned about your elder. Bringing you two along is actually for the benefit of everyone here. I have a bit of a temper; if I run into others here who don’t speak to me nicely, I might just kill them on the spot—even wipe out everyone here. Having you with me could help mediate things and prevent it from escalating out of control," Jiang Chen said seriously.
His words were quite arrogant, yet Tie Shan and Tie Luan felt an involuntary chill run down their spines; despite Jiang Chen's harmless appearance, he exuded an overwhelming sense of pressure.
In the face of absolute power, they had no choice. Jiang Chen would not let them leave; they simply could not escape. However, returning like this, and bringing Jiang Chen back with them, left them feeling somewhat unwilling. After all, they had planned to sneak away today.
