If Jiang Chen were to sink a United States warship, the consequences would be unimaginable. Jiang Chen was not a person who enjoyed killing; those he eliminated were always deserving of their fate. If he truly were to murder without hesitation, this blizzard alone could freeze everyone aboard those warships to death.
However, Jiang Chen refrained from such actions. After all, there were at least hundreds of people on those ships, mere soldiers who could only obey Bai Erxun's orders.
"Others can be spared, but there is one person I must kill," Jiang Chen said with a grim expression.
"Mr. Jiang, are you referring to Bai Erxun?" Yang Jigong asked.
Jiang Chen remained silent.
"Mr. Jiang, if you kill him directly, it will cause significant trouble. Bai Erxun has a high standing in the United States Military," Yang Jigong said anxiously.
With so many witnesses, if Jiang Chen acted impulsively and killed a general, even if he didn't destroy the United States warships, the repercussions would not be easily dismissed.
"My patience will not always be as good as it is today, nor will my heart remain as soft. If they are sensible, we can end things here; if not, I will accompany them to the end," Jiang Chen replied calmly.
Yang Jigong looked at the young man before him as if he were staring at a devil, sending chills down his spine.
Meanwhile, aboard the United States warship, Bai Erxun was hiding in the inner cabin with the heating on but still felt bone-chilling cold.
"General, the snow outside has stopped, but there are several meters of accumulation. We are clearing it and should be able to go out in about an hour," a soldier reported.
"Hurry up and clear it!" Bai Erxun said sternly while cursing the dreadful weather.
Suddenly, everyone's attention was drawn to something at the door; snow from outside began rolling into the inner cabin and spreading like a torrent of mud and stones.
"This is bad; the snow outside is too thick; it's an avalanche!"
"Quickly close the hatch!" someone inside shouted urgently.
No one wanted the snow to fill the entire cabin and suffocate them. Unfortunately, the hatch could not be closed. Panic ensued as everyone scrambled around. Soon enough, they realized that the snow was moving toward one specific direction.
It was as if the snow had eyes. Bai Erxun sensed something was wrong and quickly tried to escape, but wherever he went, the snow followed him. Ultimately, it spread beneath his feet and engulfed him completely.
The others watched in stunned silence. However, being a general, Bai Erxun inspired some courage in them despite their fear; they steeled themselves to attempt a rescue.
Yet that snow seemed alive, wrapping around Bai Erxun like a snowman. No matter how hard they tried to clear it away from him, it was futile.

"Mr. Jiang, how do you plan to deal with Bai Erxun?" Yang Jigong asked when he saw Jiang Chen staring ahead lost in thought.
"No need to deal with him," Jiang Chen replied.
"Mr. Jiang, have you come to a conclusion? That's good. Even if you kill Bai Erxun, it won't actually solve the problem," Yang Jigong sighed in relief. In Yang Jigong's belief, even if one had to resort to violence, it was always the Americans who struck first; the Huaxia people must never initiate conflict. Moreover, taking action often did not resolve issues.
"I said there's no need to deal with him because he's already dead," Jiang Chen casually remarked.
"What? Bai Erxun is dead? When did this happen?" Yang Jigong exclaimed in shock.
