After finishing breakfast, the woman transformed back into a maid, diligently clearing the dishes and taking them to the kitchen to wash. She was truly remarkable in her diligence. When she returned to the living room after washing the dishes, both Yang Jingsheng and Xu Yuan were nowhere to be seen. She stood for a moment, surprised—indeed, they were gone.
Clenching her teeth, she changed into a one-piece dress and stealthily peeked out the door. Confirming that she didn’t see either of them, she hurriedly stepped outside and dashed toward Xu Yuan's garden.
Upon arriving at the garden, she glanced around; it was eerily quiet. She walked toward the center of the Farm Shed, pushed the door open with a gasp, and quickly stepped inside, slamming the door shut behind her.
"Why are you so late?" a man's voice asked.
The Farm Shed was relatively spacious, with a short wall dividing it into two sections. The inner room was cluttered with tools and miscellaneous items, creating a chaotic scene. Not far from the door in the outer room was an old bed that looked soft and clean; this area had been tidied up just enough to create a small space, with an electric fan spinning overhead.
The man speaking was comfortably lying on the bed; he appeared to be only a few years older than the woman, a middle-aged man of short stature.
The woman shot him a fierce glare as she approached and kicked him hard on the shin. He yelped in pain and angrily exclaimed, "What are you doing? Are you crazy?"
"You just sit here cooling off," she retorted. "Xu Yuan has come back; did you know?"
The man chuckled mischievously. "She’s back? What’s it to me? Can’t forget me, huh? Coming back for another round?"
"You won’t know until it’s too late," she warned. "She brought a man back with her."
"So what?" he replied dismissively.
The woman dared not mention what had happened with Yang Jingsheng last night but insisted that he think of something. Instead, the man pulled her down onto the bed beside him, his hands roaming over her body as he reminisced about his earlier assault on Xu Yuan and urged her to bring Xu Yuan over again so he could enjoy himself even more.
Just as they were entangled in their conversation, the door of the Farm Shed swung open again with a creak, startling both of them. It was none other than Xu Yuan who entered. She gently closed the door behind her and leaned casually against it, throwing a flirtatious glance at the man that instantly captivated him.
The woman felt both embarrassed and anxious; fortunately, Yang Jingsheng had not appeared alongside Xu Yuan, which gave her some relief.
"Hey there, sweetheart," the man said. "Long time no see; you’re looking more beautiful than ever."
"Really? Where do I look more beautiful?" Xu Yuan replied with a teasing smile.
"Your figure is better; your posture is more alluring," he said.
Xu Yuan gracefully turned around and asked playfully, "Is that so?"
Today, she wore a white sleeveless top and short shorts that made the man’s mouth dry and heart race. He pushed aside the woman sitting next to him and approached Xu Yuan, lightly caressing her face as he said, "You’ve grown up; you’ve become quite provocative."
"Do you miss me?" Xu Yuan asked with narrowed eyes and a smile.
The woman listened to their flirtatious banter from the side, feeling a chill run down her spine. Something felt very wrong to her, but she couldn’t voice it. Suddenly, the man wrapped his arms around Xu Yuan's waist and said, "I missed you so much; come here and let me kiss you..."
"Don't..." The woman jumped up and grabbed his hand in an attempt to stop him.
"What are you doing?" he shouted angrily.
"Don't touch her..." the woman pleaded.
