In the helicopter, apart from the pilot, there were only Zou Xingjing, Song Nian, and Zhang Qing. Zhang Qing was studying the laptop left behind by Xiao Wanshan, while Zou Xingjing was on the phone trying to contact the police department in T City. Song Nian listened intently to Zou Xingjing's conversation.
"Damn it!" Zou Xingjing hung up the phone, cursing in frustration. "The signal was disrupted, and I couldn't explain the situation clearly! The police in T City have no idea how critical things are right now! I told them to send someone to Sun Zhen's house immediately, and they just brushed me off saying, 'Alright, we'll try to arrange for someone to go over!'"
"Hmph! They don't take this case seriously at all!" Song Nian gritted his teeth. "Four people are already dead. Do they want to wait until Sun Zhen is killed too before they act?"
While Zhang Qing was fixated on the laptop, he suddenly interjected, "Call Yu Wen Ya Ji and ask her to contact the T City police department. They need to find out where Sun Zhen's house is and send a car to wait for us at the landing site of our helicopter so we can head straight there as soon as we land."
"Right! How could I not think of that?" Zou Xingjing exclaimed. "We can only rely on Captain Yu Wen's authority now! Almost every criminal investigator across the country has heard of Captain Yu Wen's name. When a tiger falls into the plains, it’s only this fierce dragon that can suppress those local bullies!"
Immediately, Zou Xingjing called Yu Wen Ya Ji for assistance. Due to severe signal interference, he couldn't explain the details of the case clearly and could only summarize the urgency of the situation in a few brief sentences. However, even though Yu Wen Ya Ji couldn't fully grasp the case, she knew that Zou Xingjing was usually calm and decisive—an outstanding criminal investigator. Since he was asking for help, it must be an emergency. She readily agreed to contact the T City police.
Just as Zou Xingjing hung up the phone and let out a sigh of relief, his phone rang again. He looked at the screen and saw it was a colleague from the scene where Yang Yanrong had been killed.
Zou Xingjing answered the call, listened for a moment, and his expression suddenly changed slightly. After hanging up, Song Nian asked, "What happened?"
Zou Xingjing took a deep breath and said, "My colleague just told me that a package arrived at Yang Yanrong's house. Can you guess what was inside?"
"What was it?" Song Nian asked.
Without looking up from his laptop, Zhang Qing interjected, "It was the left hind leg of that black cat."
"You are right," Zou Xingjing said.
"The situation is becoming clearer," Zhang Qing said.
"Zhang Qing," Song Nian glanced at Zhang Qing and asked, "What exactly are you doing? I've investigated the contents of this laptop; we've analyzed all the suspicious aspects."
"No need for analysis; the truth will present itself before us," Zhang Qing replied calmly.
"What do you mean?" Song Nian asked, confused.
"Xiao Wanshan received an email on this computer. After opening the attachment, she saw something terrifying enough to trigger a heart attack. I suspect it was a video. Once the video finished playing, the Trojan Virus in the attachment activated automatically, deleted the video, and generated an image showing the right front paw of a black cat," Zhang Qing explained slowly.
"I already know all of this," Song Nian said.
Ignoring him, Zhang Qing continued, "The creator of this Trojan Virus is an expert in computer programming. Although his program is impressive, I can crack it. I estimate that I will need another half hour to break through his Trojan Virus."
"No way, Zhang Qing, I didn't know you were so skilled with computers!" Song Nian exclaimed in surprise.
Zou Xingjing then asked, "What do you mean by cracking it?"
"That means," Zhang Qing said, slightly turning to look at Zou Xingjing and Song Nian, "I can restore that video. I can bring it back for you to see what exactly scared Xiao Wanshan to death!"
