Seeing Brelly aiming a Sniper Rifle at Jiang Chen, the only one who seemed tense was Niyona. As for Qin Xiaoya and Jon Delson, they appeared even calmer than Jiang Chen.
Noticing everyone else’s composure, Niyona could only pretend to be calm as well, though she felt a sense of curiosity about Jiang Chen. She had witnessed Qin Xiaoya's strength, which was undeniably terrifying, yet Qin Xiaoya treated Jiang Chen with utmost respect. This suggested that Jiang Chen's abilities were far more formidable than those of Qin Xiaoya. However, facing a Barrett at such close range—was it really safe?
After all, the bullets from a Barrett could penetrate walls.
"You can give it a try, but if you miss this shot, you might as well consider yourself dead," Jiang Chen said nonchalantly.
Brelly had initially been dismissive, but seeing the unconcerned expressions on Jiang Chen and the others made his heart tighten inexplicably. Even if Jiang Chen was a martial arts master, could he really be stronger than Brelly himself? Brelly lacked confidence in dodging a Barrett's attack at such close quarters.
"Ha! Since you're looking for death, I'll grant your wish," Brelly sneered. Without hesitation, he pulled the trigger.
With a loud bang, the bullet from the Barrett shot out.
A cold smile appeared on Brelly's face as the gun fired, but that smile froze before even a second had passed.
"Impossible!" Brelly exclaimed in shock, unable to believe his eyes as the bullet seemed to freeze in front of Jiang Chen.
"Ha! You think you can deal with My Young Master using just a Sniper Rifle? You must be tired of living," Qin Xiaoya chuckled.
Brelly's eyes were filled with horror.
"You... you can use telekinesis?" Brelly asked, suddenly recalling something.
Jiang Chen couldn't be bothered to respond. With a thought, he sent the suspended bullet back along its original path. Brelly's pupils dilated to their limit as he quickly gathered his Inner Energy into his fist and swung at the bullet.
His iron fist, capable of penetrating steel plates, exploded like a watermelon upon impact. Fortunately for Brelly, his head narrowly escaped disaster.
Looking at his shattered right hand, Brelly showed no sign of pain; instead, his face was filled with anger and disbelief. How could such a young man be so powerful? Throughout this encounter, Jiang Chen hadn't even moved an inch. If Brelly still underestimated him now, he would be a fool.
However, even realizing Jiang Chen's strength might be too late for Brelly. Because of his arrogance, he hadn’t called for any support from the special abilities department; he had only summoned a thousand soldiers. Those soldiers weren’t lying in ambush nearby but were instead leisurely "playing" in the vicinity.
Brelly thought Dawson Caymanwei was inexperienced and easily intimidated by a Huaxia person. As a formidable general known as Iron Fist, how could he fear someone from Huaxia? But now he regretted not calling for more martial artists or special ability users to assist him.
Dawson Caymanwei, hiding behind Brelly, seemed utterly terrified; he sat down on the ground in panic—saying he was scared out of his wits wouldn’t be an exaggeration.
"To dodge my attack is quite impressive. However, I don’t wish to strike you again; I’ll spare your life this time," Jiang Chen said casually.
Surviving against Jiang Chen was an almost impossible task for Brelly. With one hand crippled, he should have felt grateful; unfortunately, he didn’t understand how precious Jiang Chen’s mercy truly was.
"Heh, I never expected you to be a superhuman. I underestimated you, but don't forget, this is my territory. Do you really think you can escape?" Brelly sneered boldly.
A soldier like Brelly, especially someone of his caliber, could never be weak; his resolve was harder than rock.
"I don't want to add to the bloodshed, Don't Be Unappreciative," Jiang Chen said, his expression darkening. Although he viewed human life as trivial, he generally preferred not to kill unless absolutely necessary or if someone truly deserved it. Unfortunately, there were far too many people in this world who were oblivious to the situation, and too many villains as well. For those individuals, killing was the best solution; Jiang Chen had no time to waste on them.
"It’s you who doesn’t know your place, kid. Just because you have some abilities doesn’t mean you can look down on others. This is the United States; do you really think you're the only one with powers? We have superhuman departments here too, and some of their abilities are far beyond yours. You might as well confess and submit to the law; otherwise, you won’t be leaving here today," Brelly threatened Jiang Chen with his authority.
"Qin Xiaoya, this guy is really annoying. Just kill him," Jiang Chen said dismissively, clearly uninterested in Brelly's threats.
"Yes, young master," Qin Xiaoya nodded. To her, even though Brelly was a general in the United States, that title held no intimidation after Jiang Chen had killed General Wilson previously in the East Sea.
Brelly's face twisted with anger; Jiang Chen actually dismissed him and ordered a woman to do the killing.
Damn it! What does he take me for? Brelly roared inwardly. Even though his right hand was injured, he still had his left hand and legs.
"Enough from both of you!" Brelly shouted as he secretly issued a gathering command to his subordinates while charging toward Jiang Chen. His left fist was clenched tightly like an iron hammer. Qin Xiaoya smirked slightly and appeared in front of Jiang Chen.
"Bang!"
A dull thud echoed as Brelly's fist struck like it hit a sandbag, but the shockwave was powerful enough to feel like a gale-force wind swirling around them.
Brelly was shocked again; his fist had been deflected by Qin Xiaoya's palm.
"What incredible strength! Huaxia Martial Arts should not be underestimated," Brelly thought in astonishment while trying to maintain his composure on the surface.
"It seems you've cultivated your Jing Qi; truly, heroes emerge from youth. I was careless just now, but you won't be so lucky this time, kid," Brelly sneered as he unleashed his power.
For a tough guy like Brelly, failure was unacceptable—especially at the hands of a young woman. Once someone goes all out and burns their life force for strength, their combat ability skyrockets. Of course, this increase in power depended on the opponent as well.
For Jiang Chen, Brelly's surge in combat power felt like adding a cup of water to an ocean—there was no noticeable change at all. However, for Qin Xiaoya, the difference was quite apparent.
Brelly was at least a master who had cultivated Inner Energy equivalent to Huaxia Transcendence and was also an expert in physical training with high bone density and thick muscle fibers. His quick reflexes posed a certain level of threat to Qin Xiaoya; it would not be easy for her to maintain her casual demeanor and easily defeat him.
