Early the next morning, Liu Ya contacted her distant relative, Zhao Yong.
Zhao Yong, 35 years old, had been living in Jinan for over a decade and knew everyone in town. More importantly, he harbored a deep-seated hatred for Wu Jun.
The story dated back three years. At that time, Wu Jun wanted to buy an office building in Jinan to serve as his headquarters but lacked sufficient funds. Upon hearing this, Zhao Yong proactively offered to help by leveraging his connections, running around for two months and managing to save Wu Jun over a million yuan.
"Don't worry, once it's done, I'll give you 200,000 as a reward," Wu Jun had promised, patting his chest confidently.
What happened next? The building was purchased, profits were made, but Zhao Yong's promised 200,000 turned out to be an unfulfilled empty check.
Initially, Zhao Yong politely nudged him: "Brother Jun, about that reward..."
"Soon, soon! Things are tight right now; I’ll definitely pay you in a bit," Wu Jun always replied.
Eventually, Zhao Yong began calling and texting frequently, but Wu Jun simply stopped answering. When Zhao Yong went to the company to demand his money, Wu Jun had security throw him out and coldly stated, "What reward? When did I ever agree to that? Is there a contract? Any recordings?"
In the end, Zhao Yong was completely disheartened. He began telling everyone he met, "That bastard Wu Jun uses people and then turns his back."
Liu Ya was well aware of this situation and understood the resentment brewing in Zhao Yong's heart.
On the afternoon of July 25th, Liu Ya called Zhao Yong.
"Yong Ge, do you have some time? I’d like to see you." Her voice sounded weary.
"Sister-in-law? What’s wrong? Where are you now?" Zhao Yong immediately sensed something was off.
"I'm in Beijing. I need to talk to you about some things."
The next day, Zhao Yong hurried to Beijing.
They met at a hotel café. Liu Ya wore loose-fitting maternity clothes; her pale face revealed her exhaustion.
"Sister-in-law, what happened to you?" Zhao Yong asked with concern.
Liu Ya didn’t answer directly but instead asked, "Yong Ge, do you remember the 200,000?"
Zhao Yong's expression changed instantly. "How could I forget? That bastard turned his back on me after using me; I’ll never forgive him in my life."
"He's gotten even worse now," Liu Ya said painfully. "Not only is he refusing to pay you back, but he also wants to take my money."
Liu Ya detailed the matter of Wu Jun's asset transfer and betrayal to Zhao Yong.
After listening, Zhao Yong slammed his hand on the table, exclaiming, "That bastard! If it weren't for you back then, he would have been killed by the kidnappers long ago. How could he treat you like this now?"
"Brother Yong, in my current state, I can't do anything," Liu Ya said, touching her belly as tears streamed down her face. "I can't let him just kick me aside like this."
Seeing Liu Ya's distress only fueled Zhao Yong's anger further. "Sister-in-law, how do you want me to help you?"
Wiping her tears, Liu Ya lowered her voice and said, "I don't want his life, but... he must pay a price. Do you understand what I mean?"
Zhao Yong paused for a moment before realizing her intent. "Sister-in-law, you mean..."
"I didn't say anything," Liu Ya shook her head. "But if someone can teach him a lesson, I'm willing to offer 100,000 yuan as a token of gratitude."
One hundred thousand! Zhao Yong's eyes lit up. This was far more tangible than the 200,000 yuan debt.
"Don't worry, sister-in-law. I won't let you down."
Gritting his teeth, Zhao Yong added, "That bastard deserves to suffer."
In the following days, Liu Ya began preparing for the operation. She took Zhao Yong to scout the area near the company.
"This is the back door; it's quite discreet," Liu Ya pointed to a small alleyway. "The front has security guards, but the back only has one camera with a blind spot."
"Sister-in-law, you've thought this through," Zhao Yong said with admiration.
"I must ensure everything goes perfectly," Liu Ya's gaze was unusually calm. "If we're going to do this, we need to do it cleanly and decisively."
Finally, Liu Ya explained the action plan in detail to Zhao Yong: "On August 16th at 9 PM is the best time. It's a Thursday when there are fewer people in the office. You guys will enter through the back door and go straight to the third floor. Remember not to injure him too severely, but make sure he remembers this."
"Don't worry, sister-in-law. I know a few brothers in Jinan who are very capable," Zhao Yong assured her confidently.
"After it's done, you all need to leave Beijing immediately and return to Jinan. I'll transfer the money to your account on time."
"And what about you?"
"What about me?" Liu Ya sneered coldly. "Of course, I’ll be just an innocent victim who knows nothing."
