Guo Chunniu spotted the familiar figure from a distance.
Han Han still looked as youthful and beautiful as ever.
“It’s all because of you!” Guo Chunniu gritted her teeth, “It’s all because of you that I’ve become like this!”
Han Han followed her usual route towards the small north gate. She planned to take a taxi from there to the library in the city center. However, she was completely unaware that a dark figure was quietly trailing her from not far behind.
Guo Chunniu followed closely, her anger intensifying with each step. Watching Han Han’s carefree stride, she felt that the girl showed no remorse for the pain she had caused.
“Do you think it’s all over?” Guo Chunniu tightened her grip on the dagger at her waist. “You’re wrong! This is just the beginning!”
At 3:50 PM, Han Han reached the roadside outside the small north gate. The street was bustling with cars and pedestrians. She raised her hand to hail a taxi.
Just then, she heard someone calling her name from behind: “Han Han!”
Turning around, her face went pale. Guo Chunniu stood less than ten meters away, wearing an eerie smile.
“Teacher Guo? What are you doing here?” Han Han's voice trembled.
“I came to find you,” Guo Chunniu slowly approached her. “We still have some unfinished business.”
Realizing the danger, Han Han hurriedly ran across the street, shouting, “Help! Someone help me!”
But the surrounding pedestrians assumed it was just a normal argument and failed to recognize the impending danger.
Then, something unexpected happened. Guo Chunniu suddenly drew a gleaming dagger from her waist and charged at Han Han with wild fury.
“You can’t escape! You can never escape!” Guo Chunniu screamed, completely losing her sanity.
Han Han screamed in terror, “Help! Someone’s trying to kill me! Help!”
But it was already too late. Guo Chunniu caught up with her and raised a dagger, stabbing fiercely at her neck.
"First stab! This is because you rejected me!"
"Second stab! This is because you humiliated me!"
"Third stab! This is because you were with another man!"
Han Han struggled desperately, but how could a 19-year-old girl possibly withstand a mad middle-aged man?
Guo Chunniu attacked her like a beast, stabbing wildly at her body.
The neck, the chest, the abdomen, the back, the limbs... each stab was filled with hatred, each one aimed to take her life.
"Please... spare me... I was wrong..." Han Han pleaded with her last ounce of strength.
"Now you say you're wrong? It's too late!" Guo Chunniu shouted with bloodshot eyes. "I gave you a chance! You threw it away!"
The crowd finally realized the seriousness of the situation; some shouted for the police while others tried to intervene, but they were all deterred by the dagger in Guo Chunniu's hand.
"Get away from me!" Guo Chunniu yelled like a mad dog. "This is what she owes me!"
When the police finally arrived on the scene, they were met with a shocking and bloody sight: the young Han Han lay in a pool of blood, covered in stab wounds, showing no signs of life.
"Don't move! Drop your weapon!" the police shouted loudly.
"I have nothing left! Nothing at all!" Guo Chunniu screamed hoarsely. "She destroyed everything for me! I will destroy her too!"
In the end, the police subdued him and took him away in a patrol car. Medical personnel rushed to save Han Han, but it was all too late.
This 19-year-old girl had 42 stab wounds and had bled out; she died on the spot.
On November 20, 2020, in the Wuhu Intermediate Court, Guo Chunniu was sentenced to death.
When he heard the verdict, he showed no emotion, as if everything had nothing to do with him.
Meanwhile, Han Han's parents wept bitterly: "Our daughter was only 19! Her life had just begun!"
Forty-two stabs ended a youthful life.
From university teacher to death row inmate, from being respected to being reviled by all, Guo Chunniu demonstrated in the most extreme way that when love turns into possession and possession turns into destruction, no one can escape unscathed.
This was not love; this was a crime.
This is not romance; it is tragedy.
A teacher, once dedicated to educating and nurturing students, ultimately becomes a demon who kills them. And a girl, who should have had a bright future, forever falls in a pool of blood.
Forty-two stabs, each one a violation of the sanctity of the teacher-student bond, each one a destruction of youthful life.
When someone harms others under the guise of love, they no longer deserve to speak of love.
