When the tall and slender Zhuo Jianxuan and the short and plump Yu Jiushun appeared at the "Tingyun Teahouse," all the tea patrons turned to glance at the striking contrast in their physiques, accompanied by a few light chuckles: "Hehe, are these two here to perform a comedy skit?" 0

"Is there really no clue at all?" After hearing the introduction and seeing Yu Jiushun's worried expression, Zhuo Jianxuan asked. 0

"None. Wu Qingqing lived in a residential building mostly rented by nearby university students, including her neighbors. Most of the original residents have moved away. That night, An Yun Ni went out singing with her classmates and didn't return until 10 PM. No one noticed when Wu Qingqing had a fight or was killed, and no one paid attention to whether there were other people around at that time." 0

Zhuo Jianxuan asked without hesitation, "I really don't understand how your mind works. This kind of murder, with no financial motive, seems very much like revenge. Why didn't you investigate if Wu Qingqing had any enemies?" 0

Yu Jiushun seemed a bit displeased: "I've looked into it. A female university student like Wu Qingqing spends most of her time either attending classes or staying in her room reading or browsing the internet. What kind of enemies could she possibly have? And what kind of hatred would lead someone to kill her? The closest person to her was her roommate An Yun Ni, but she wasn't there at the time. She returned home at the same time as her classmates from next door. I even checked the records from the KTV; the staff recognized them from photos and confirmed they left around 10 PM. They took a taxi and arrived home about ten minutes later. When An Yun Ni opened the door, she found signs that the lock had been pried open and immediately sensed something was wrong." 0

"Since they were so close and roommates, why didn't An Yun Ni take Wu Qingqing with them when they went out?" 0

Yu Jiushun replied impatiently, "I asked that too. Wu Qingqing generally doesn't like going out. Although she enjoys singing, they usually go out to sing every week around this time, but that night, Wu Qingqing suddenly said she didn't want to go and preferred to stay home to work on her thesis..." 0

"So you're saying Wu Qingqing chose to stay behind? Waiting for the murderer?" 0

"Not really. But why would the murderer pry open the door? And..." Yu Jiushun grinned at Zhuo Jianxuan as if he had found a flaw in his reasoning, "Wu Qingqing had a mobile phone. 0

If someone dared to pry open the door, wouldn't she call the police? We checked Wu Qingqing's phone; it was still on. The last call record was from that afternoon with her academic advisor. 0

It's indeed strange for someone to pry open a door... Did Wu Qingqing just freeze when she heard it? Or was she in the bathroom?" 0

Zhuo Jianxuan slapped his forehead and said, "Do you think the murderer can see through walls?" 0

"Also, at the scene, besides the fingerprints of Wu Qingqing and An Yun Ni, no one else's were found. It seems this murderer came prepared." 0

Zhuo Jianxuan frowned. "It's a very strange scene. From your description of Wu Qingqing, she's a petite girl, only 1.55 meters tall, and not very strong. Why would she make such a mess during a struggle? That seems a bit exaggerated." 0

As soon as he finished speaking, a chubby hand suddenly grabbed his neck, nearly choking him. Fortunately, he reacted quickly, locking the hand that was choking him and twisting his body to break free. He then cursed at Yu Jiushun, "You fat idiot!" 0

"Hehe, I just wanted to see how a weak person would resist," Yu Jiushun replied. 0

Their commotion was indeed not very loud; even with their noticeable appearances, this little tussle attracted no attention at all. 0

Then, Zhuo Jianxuan looked at the photos of the scene brought by Yu Jiushun and asked him to recount the situation in detail once more. Suddenly, his frown relaxed. 0

Yu Jiushun, who had known him for many years, was very familiar with this gesture and let out a slight sigh of relief. "So, do you know the truth now?" 0

Zhuo Jianxuan nodded slightly. "At least I have a direction." 0

Song Yan had been wandering this street for quite some time. Countless times he wanted to run away but something like a curse compelled him to return whenever he reached the end of the street. He felt like a poor child under a spell, waiting in excruciating agony for the incantation to be lifted. 0

In his limited twenty-something years of life, this moment clearly exceeded his psychological endurance. The future before him had simplified into two extremes: either complete darkness and total ruin or a path leading to a bright future. 0

The sky was growing darker. He looked at his watch like a madman, feeling as if time was dragging on even more slowly. He harbored a deep hatred for the person who had dragged him into this hell; the once pure and vibrant version of himself now truly entertained thoughts of murder. Perhaps it was fate's design that he must kill someone. 0

It was already late, and the night breeze blew through the empty streets, where no other pedestrians could be seen, only the occasional car speeding by, blending with the sound of the wind. Would things unfold as expected? Perhaps this entire situation was just a cruel joke. Suddenly, he found himself reluctant to kill that person; he even prayed that it was all just a prank. 0

Clearly, it was not. The event descended upon him like a nightmare, everything happening in stark reality, forcing him onto an irreversible path. 0

At the anticipated hour of ten, things unfolded just as planned, almost miraculously. A black sedan with its headlights on came to a stop in front of Song Yan. He was the only one on the street; why would a car that had been speeding suddenly stop in front of him? It was evident that this was indeed real, and he could not deny it. 0

As expected, someone inside the car leaned out and said to Song Yan, "Hurry up, give me the stuff." 0
