A loud rumble echoed through the summer afternoon, and suddenly, a torrential downpour began to fall from the sky. 0

Bai Xiao Tu clutched her injured shoulder as she made her way through the tall grass. Her long ears drooped down, and her snow-white fur became soaked, blood mingling with the rainwater that clung to her body. The most delicate princess of the Snow Rabbit Kingdom looked quite disheveled at that moment. 0

She was already a rabbit in a lowly position, bullied by wolves! Now even the old rain god was picking on her! After grumbling to herself, Bai Xiao Tu rested her paws on the doorpost of an abandoned temple and peeked inside. There was only a young monk in a dark red robe, draped in a crimson kasaya. He sat cross-legged on a worn-out mat, his back straight, eyes lowered, seemingly asleep. 0

If Bai Xiao Tu were in human form now, she would boldly enter to escape the rain. However, she had been hunted by the werewolves of the Wolf Kingdom and had injured her shoulder; she couldn't risk transforming and exposing herself. 0

So when Lan Ruo Monk heard the soft rustling and opened his eyes, he saw a little rabbit with its head lowered, carefully tiptoeing on its toes, hands clenched into fists under its chin, sneakily trying to slip toward a nearby haystack. 0

"What an interesting little rabbit," Lan Ruo said with a smile as he quickly grabbed Bai Xiao Tu by the scruff of her neck and lifted her into the air. "Oh, look at you, little mouse." 0

Bai Xiao Tu felt wronged at being caught after her failed escape. She glared at the grinning monk with her big red eyes, silently protesting against being called a mouse. "I’m a rabbit, not a mouse!" 0

To her surprise, the monk understood her frustration and teased, "So it’s a rabbit! I thought it was some kind of mouse." He then examined Bai Xiao Tu closely, poking at her cheeks and squeezing her backside. "Oh my, what a plump little rabbit! Tell me, which part of you is tastiest? Such a dilemma!" 0

Bai Xiao Tu was dumbfounded. In her mind, monks were supposed to be dignified and serious; how could this one be so cheeky? Not only was he taking liberties with her but he also seemed to be eyeing her as if she were dinner! This was clearly a Hua Monk! Bai Xiao Tu shot him an angry glare. 0

But the monk paid no heed to her annoyance. Yawning widely, he waved his sleeve, and immediately a fire sprang up beneath Bai Xiao Tu. 0

Such powerful magic from the Hua Monk—she couldn’t afford to provoke him. Bai Xiao Tu stopped struggling and curled up tightly to make herself appear smaller. She looked at him with wide eyes, desperately conveying the message: "Monks are supposed to be compassionate; please have mercy on me and don’t eat me!" 0

The monk chuckled and with a flick of his finger, the fire shrank down. Just as Bai Xiao Tu let out a sigh of relief, the Hua Monk added, "I won’t eat you if you can bark like a dog for me." 0

The stinky monk was insulting the rabbit too much! Bai Xiao Tu was furious, turning her head away with a defiant air, but unexpectedly, the flames flared up even more. 0

The dead monk kept lifting her up and down, letting her bottom brush against the flames before pulling her back up again, over and over. Lazily, he asked, "Is it fun? Haha." 0

This gluttonous stinky monk! Bai Xiao Tu could no longer tolerate it and silently recited a spell. 0

Suddenly, a bright light flashed, and then it vanished, revealing a beautiful girl in a white dress appearing in the temple. "Dead monk, apologize to this princess at once!" 0

The beautiful girl wore a fierce expression. 0

Hua Monk remained calm. 0

Lan Ruo smirked, his handsome face breaking into a refined smile. "So it turns out you're a rabbit spirit." Upon seeing Bai Xiao Tu glaring at him with her hands on her hips, he chuckled knowingly and playfully crossed his arms over his chest, feigning shyness as he said, "Little monk is scared; please don’t frighten me, miss." 0

How could a monk be so shameless?! Bai Xiao Tu was exasperated. She extended her hand, and a long sword appeared in it. She leaped into the air and swung her sword forward... 0

With a yelp, the monk squatted down, causing Bai Xiao Tu's sword to miss completely. Looking down, she saw the monk's fingers deftly moving as he was seriously tying his shoelaces. Bai Xiao Tu's gaze then moved upward to his bald head and instantly became disheveled in the wind. 0

On the monk's completely hairless head were five red dots arranged like a star. 0

Bai Xiao Tu stared blankly for a moment before slowly reaching out to touch them; they were real and not painted on. She immediately knelt down with a thud, hugging the monk's thigh and crying out loudly, "Master, I finally found you!" 0
