I frowned, confused. "What have I taken from you?"
For a brief moment, she seemed lost, as if she didn't even understand what I had taken from her. But unwilling to show weakness, she began to argue irrationally.
"Your family is wealthy; you have everything you want. Why can't you let me have other things? Why do all the good things have to belong to you?"
"Why should it be that way?"
I interrupted her directly.
"For all these years, you've been competing with me both openly and secretly. You know I never fight for anything, so you’ve become more and more reckless."
"If I give you an inch, will you try to take my parents too?"
I admit, that was a bit harsh.
But I really wanted to curse her out.
I held back.
Not wanting to waste any more words with her, I walked straight out of the company building.
I opened the door of Fang Hao's car and got in.
Turning my head, I saw Qin Danni standing at the entrance of the company, glaring at me fiercely.
Staring at me won’t do any good.
If you have the guts, catch up with my car's exhaust fumes.
"Baby."
Just as I was feeling a bit smug, Fang Hao called out beside me.
"What?"
"Your account is settled; shouldn’t we settle ours now?"
My heart skipped a beat as I asked in confusion,
"What account do we have?"
Fang Hao parked the car by the roadside, where hardly any pedestrians or vehicles passed by.
He unbuckled his seatbelt and slowly leaned closer to me.
I suddenly had a bad feeling.
He pressed down on my seatbelt latch with one hand.
"You’re spreading rumors about my account."
