Suddenly, a look of joy surged onto Wang Zhou's baby face, and his gaze froze on a patch of weeds, where he spotted a Silver Wooden Plaque quietly lying.
With a vigilant glance around, seeing no one nearby, Wang Yi's massive body darted forward at an incredible speed, tucking the Silver Wooden Plaque into his arms. His face was filled with excitement, and the whiskers at the corners of his mouth trembled violently with joy, as if he were laughing.
"Could it be that I, Wang Zhou, have received help from above today to achieve my goals?" Wang Zhou thought to himself as he looked up at the vast sky.
"Hahaha, Bastard Egg, this is fantastic! I finally found one!" Niu Meng exclaimed as he grabbed a Bronze Plaque from the ground, shouting in excitement.
"Let’s go, continue," Wang Yi said.
Soon, the two passed through a patch of grassland when suddenly a tiger's roar echoed, shaking the ground. Immediately after, a howling wind swept through the forest.
"Bastard Egg, a tiger!" Niu Meng exclaimed as he looked at the fierce tiger on the grass.
The tiger stood about two meters tall, with strong limbs and fierce eyes. Its sharp teeth were menacing, and its fur was a striking black and yellow mix that shimmered in the sunlight without a single stray hair, smooth like a carpet.
"Second-Level Beginner," Wang Yi quickly assessed the tiger's level.
"Bastard Egg, big brother, let me kill it," Niu Meng said with a grin as he cracked his knuckles.
"Wait a moment, do you see what that is?" Wang Yi smiled slightly and pointed to the side of the tiger.
Niu Meng paused for a moment and followed Wang Yi's finger to see a Golden Wooden Plaque lying in the grass. Under the sunlight, it emitted dazzling golden light that reflected off the tiger's body, making it appear as if it were draped in golden glory, adding to its imposing presence.
"Hahaha, Bastard Egg! It’s truly effortless to find something when you’re not even looking!" Niu Meng rejoiced. He took a step forward and raised his fist to charge at the tiger with incredible speed, reaching right in front of it in the blink of an eye.
Niu Meng leaped into the air, his iron fist smashing down on the tiger's head. The tiger trembled as if struck by lightning, its limbs shaking, and it was sent flying three meters away before finally stopping.
Niu Meng laughed heartily, grabbing the Golden Wooden Plaque from the bushes and tucking it into his clothes. Suddenly, he heard Wang Yi's warning; before he could turn around, a roar pierced his ears, followed by a thunderous sound that tore through the air behind him.
"Roar."
The tiger pushed off with its hind legs, sending dirt flying as it lunged at Niu Meng, its claws extended. The exposed claws glistened like blades in the air, bright and blinding.
Whoosh!
Caught off guard, Niu Meng felt a piece of his clothing ruthlessly torn away by the tiger. A cold wind rushed into his body, chilling him to the core.
Wang Yi watched closely, his heart racing for Niu Meng. If he had been even half a step slower, the tiger would have surely torn into his back.
"Drink!" Niu Meng roared in anger, flipping his hand to reveal the Chiyang Blade. He twisted in mid-air, unleashing a sharp Blade Qi that cleaved down toward the charging tiger with unmatched momentum.
The tiger saw the Blade Qi tearing toward it and a flicker of fear crossed its eyes. It let out a startled roar and halted in mid-air. With a loud sound, its claws dug into the ground, uprooting grass and revealing fresh soil beneath.
At the same time, Wang Yi decisively struck out, landing a punch on the side of the tiger. The force of ten thousand pounds surged into it, and a piercing scream shattered the air as blood gushed from the tiger's belly like a raging river. The green grass that had just sprouted in early spring turned red in an instant, and the thick smell of blood quickly filled the air.
Everything happened so fast; from the punch to the tiger's death, it was all completed in a flash.
"Big brother, well done!" Niu Meng spat on the tiger's corpse and kicked it disdainfully. "You bastard! How dare you ambush me? Just wait until I beat you to death."
Wang Yi smiled calmly and said, "Since we have to live here for three days, why not use it for food?"
"Good idea." Niu Meng's eyes lit up at this suggestion; there weren't many meats tastier than Tiger Meat.
Immediately, Wang Yi took a few pieces of fresh Tiger Meat from the tiger's body and placed them in the Storage Bag for food over the next three days.
After a while, the two set off. Perhaps due to good luck, they walked for an hour without encountering any formidable beasts. They found four Wooden Plaques under a tree, beside a delicate flower, in an open space, and among a pile of rubble. Among them were three Silver Wooden Plaques and one Bronze Plaque, which brought their total to two thousand two hundred points, qualifying Wang Yi and his companion to pass the second stage.
However, neither of them gave up searching for hidden treasures, as both Wang Yi and Niu Meng wanted to obtain the generous rewards, so they continued onward.
Three different colored Wooden Plaques were carelessly left in some place like trash, waiting for others to find them, and their quantity was unknown.
Just as Li Jianren said, as long as you have decent luck, you can find one. But is that really the case?
In a rocky area, Chen Cheng and Xie Biao were searching eagerly when suddenly their eyes brightened. About ten meters away, a Silver Wooden Plaque lay quietly among the disordered stones, radiating a soft Silver Light under the sun, making it very conspicuous.

"Sigh, we finally found a Wooden Plaque only to have it end up like this." Xie Biao watched Jin Qinghan's departing figure and sighed deeply, feeling quite unwilling.
"Well, let's just go. The elders say there are countless Wooden Plaques in this forest; I believe we will definitely find some." Chen Cheng also looked unwilling but had no choice but to endure against such a strong opponent.

After a while, two pieces of Tiger Meat were roasted to a golden brown, sizzling with oil. The air gradually filled with a rich meaty aroma, and a few drops of oil fell onto the firewood, making a hissing sound.
"Great," Niu Meng said, looking at the golden Tiger Meat and swallowing hard. He hurriedly took down a piece and handed it to Wang Yi. "Big Brother, eat up!"
Wang Yi smiled as he took it, but suddenly a loud howl echoed through the air.
The two exchanged glances, their expressions changing slightly. Just then, they heard a rush of wind followed by a massive black shadow soaring from a tree. It moved impossibly fast, extending a hand covered in black fur towards Wang Yi, seemingly trying to snatch the fragrant Tiger Meat from his hands.
Whoosh!
Wang Yi reacted quickly, dodging out of the way. Looking back, he saw five terrifying claw marks left on the tree trunk behind him, wood chips flying everywhere.
"Ahhh!"
The howling sounded like a tsunami crashing down. Wang Yi felt his eardrums about to burst as he turned to see a Black Ape towering over him, baring its teeth and waving its arms while staring hungrily at the Tiger Meat in his hands, greedily inhaling the meaty aroma.
"A Second-Level Beginner Demon Beast: Black Mountain Ape!" Wang Yi quickly identified the creature.
As the name suggests, the Black Mountain Ape is a type of monkey that lives in the Black Mountain region. It is known for being gluttonous and carnivorous, excelling in running.
"Hmph! You damn monkey dare to come and steal food from me!" Niu Meng shouted angrily as he took a big bite of Tiger Meat.
"Awo." The Black Mountain Ape fixed its gaze on the Tiger Meat in Niu Meng's hand, opened its mouth, and let out a long howl before pouncing forward.
"Hmph, looking for death." Niu Meng swung down with the Chiyang Blade in hand, thinking that the ape was surely doomed as it charged toward the blade's edge. However, to his surprise, the Black Mountain Ape flickered and vanished beneath the blade, leaving a faint black shadow in the air. It twisted and turned, launching an attack from the left side.
"Bastard, watch me chop you down." Niu Meng spat and said, "I've only eaten Tiger Meat; I've never tried ape meat before!"
"Bang." The Black Mountain Ape slammed its palm solidly against the blade, and Niu Meng immediately felt a heavy force pressing down on him. He shouted loudly and counterattacked.
The Black Mountain Ape leaped back instantly. Everything seemed slow, but it all happened in the blink of an eye.
"Big Brother, watch out!" Just as Niu Meng regained his senses, he saw the Black Mountain Ape using the rebound force to dart toward Wang Yi.
"Beast, looking for death." Wang Yi's expression remained unchanged as he clenched his fist. The sound of knuckles cracking echoed as he threw a punch that felt like it weighed a thousand pounds, directly smashing into the Black Mountain Ape's forehead. A trickle of blood oozed out, staining its black fur crimson in an instant. Its eyes were also splattered with blood, creating a terrifying sight.
Wang Yi felt as if his fist had struck gold or iron; an immense force surged into his arm. The Black Mountain Ape let out a whimper from such a heavy blow, stars danced before its eyes as it immediately changed direction and fled into the forest.
"Bastard! You hurt my big brother and still want to escape!" Niu Meng was furious and immediately chased after it.
Wang Yi called out anxiously, worried that Niu Meng would fall into danger, and hurried to catch up.
